aadi

Actor Aadi is bundle of nerves as his next film Gaalipatam (Kite) is all set to hit the screens. Unlike previous films, this film is very important for Aadi’s Career as he already had two back-to-back failures. His Sukumarudu and Pyar Mein Padipoyane have bombed at Box Office. And Aadi doesn’t want hattrick.

Naturally, the ‘Lovely Rock Star’ is desperate for success. Though he proved his mettle with films like Lovely, Prema Kavali, and this is very needed for him at this juncture.

Film industry is one place where success is the major yardstick but not necessarily talent. Let’s see whether Aadi could pull it off with ‘Gaalipatam’ or not.

Raising the curtains finally, Megastar Chiranjeevi has announced about his landmark 150th film on Meelo Evari Koteeswarudu’s concluding episode of first season.

When King Nagarjuna tricked that computer won’t start until Chiru opens up about the movie, there is no other option for the Supreme Hero except to reveal it.

‘It will surely take off this year and I’m waiting for right story to jump onboard’, Chiru said. Snapping at it immediately, Nag asked ‘so we are going to witness the mighty 150th flick on silver screen in 2015?’ Pat came the reply from Chiru ‘Yes, you are going to’.

Earlier when quizzed about 150th film, Chiranjeevi used to lucidly conclude that the day is near and left things to time. And finally, he announced it on the final episode of ‘Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu’s first season.

Should we now anticipate for another big announcement on August 22, on Chiru’s birthday?

First time: Father-son actors duo’s open fight

hero-Aadi-rare-record

In the film industry, heirs of popular stars making big is no big deal. Except a few, most of the big heroes today are the star kids who made entry into films with their fathers’ cine background. But no one fought with their actor fathers till date. Here comes a situation where an actor’s son is directly locking horns with his father. Aadi is directly colliding with his father Saikumar on coming 8th august.

By now it might have become obvious that dialogue king Saikumar and young hero Aadi’s films are going to release on the same day. Yeah. Aadi’s ‘Galipatam’ and Saikumar’s ‘Janmasthanam’ are slated for August 8 release. While Aadi’s film is a romantic entertainer certified A’, Saikumar’s film is a thriller drama certified U/A. Galipatam is going to cash on the youth while Janmasthanam reportedly is going to cater to the tastes of the female audiences. The father-son duo, by coincidence are going to compete with each other and for the cine lovers, this seemingly is gonna be an interesting war.

Shankar’s magnum opus in limbo again

Just when people thought it’s all over and the film is ready to hit the screens finally, it seems a roadblock has struck once again for director Shankar and his magnum opus, Ai (Manoharudu). The exact reasons are still not known but the film is now certainly out of Dushera race and a similar fate awaits for Diwali as well. In fact many even say the film might not release this year at all.

Manoharudu has been in making for few years now. It was expected to take time considering its mammoth scale but it has surpassed even the wildest expectations now in terms of time taking, in the current age of technical advancements. This is certainly bad news for fans of the director and hero Vikram, as it was only a month ago talks about an audio release and discussions about possible release dates were being discussed. Of course, no matter what the media says it is a speculation based on sources or not and it’s the director who knows the reality. Can there be a turnaround in the last minute even though the major holiday slots are already booked?

Top heroine’s double standards!

Buttering is everywhere. Whether it is Bollywood or Tollywood or even Kollywood, cine celebrities keep buttering one another to be in good books. No one has to take this as an issue as long as this buttering doesn’t go overboard. Samanta, the top heroine of Tollywood isn’t an exception for this. Time and again we see Sammy buttering her heroes and directors. With this art and her self proclaimed talent, she reached stardom in Tollywood. Despite this, Samanta keeps attacking Tollywood heroes and directors once in a while.

According to a popular channel, of late Samanta gave an interview to a Tamil news channel. In the interview as per the sources, Sammy went harsh on Tollywood film Industry accusing that there is only hero worship in Tollywood and heroines get less respect comparatively. According to her opinion, even Rajamouli falls under the category who falls for buttering. May be she has low opinion on Tollywood film industry. But why is she doing the same in Kollywood even, of late buttering Surya and Linguswamy? Samanta seems to be maintaining double standards!

Stern test awaits Shruti Haasan on Diwali

sruthi

In three films and Gabbar Singh to finally break the jinx for Shruti Haasan in Telugu film industry. The actress has been on new high post the film’s humongous success and is flooded with offers nonstop. But when it comes to her ‘home’ industry Tamil, the actress is yet to break free with a hit. So far Shruti Haasan has done two films, both came with huge pre-release hype but couldn’t meet the expectations and failed at the box office.

After some gap the actress will once again have a Tamil release in the form of Poojai for Diwali this year. Unlike her previous films this film is coming in a low key manner despite being directed by Hari. Not only that this mass entertainer is pitted against one of the most anticipated films of the year Kathi starring none other than Vijay, the reigning Superstar of Tamil films. In Telugu Gabbar Singh was her third film and it changed her fate from being called iron leg to golden leg. Will her third film in Tamil have the same result? Can actor Vishal help Shruti Haasan break the jinx? Since the project comes in competition breaking the jinx would not just help Shruti Haasan’s career but also give great box office edge to Vishal as well.

This sudden unexpected clash due to the aforementioned reasons has suddenly become a great topic of debate among the trade in Tamil cinema. And unsurprisingly both these films are going to be our (Telugu Film Industry) big films for Diwali as well because as things stand today no expectation worthy Telugu film has announced a Diwali release.

One song enough for Praneeta to bail out others?

Praneeta Subhash, the dove eyed beauty who turned a silent killer with Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Atharintiki Daredi’ is once again coming to woo the audience with NTR’s ‘Rabhasa’. Though top heroine Samanta is playing the main female lead, reportedly Praneeta too has a good share in the film. It is being rumoured that one of Praneeta’s songs had to be dropped to reduce the length of the movie. That means she is going to get only one duet with NTR in the film and going by the rumours, she is unhappy with this development.

However, Praneeta need not be disappointed because, one song is enough for her to bail out others. In fact, in the song sung sung by NTR ‘Raakasi Raakaasi’, Praneeta looked more feastier and attractive in half saree than Sammy in western outfits. Even in her previous movie with Pawan Kalyan, Praneeta had only one song but that was enough for her to bail out Samanta’s stardom and get noticed. Samanta had a meatier role in AD . Nevertheless, Praneeta stole the show. Hope this one song sentiment is going to work wonders for Praneeta this time too.

Doe-eyed beauty Tamannah Bhatia has modestly admitted that Mahesh Babu would steal the show in their upcoming film Aagadu. Speaking to media, Tammu shared, “I had teased director Sreenu Vaitla on the sets that no one would watch me when there is Mahesh on screen.”

Tamannah is eagerly waiting for the film and pinning high hopes that the film would bring back her charm. She is recently seen in a special song in Alludu Seenu. Tamannah reasons, “The reason for doing a jig for special song is because of director VV Vinayak. Earlier, I’ve worked with him for Badrinath and the song Nath Nath has brought many accolades for me.”

Rarely, we find actresses like Tamannah who modestly admits truth. The audio launch of Mahesh Babu’s Aagadu is scheduled for August 31 on the eve of Gautam Krishna’s birthday.

How much Chiu can draw ?

With comeback of megastar looking imminent, its time to debate how much once highest paid Telugu star, would demand as his remuneration in 2014 and later on. The Tagore star’s last drawn salary was reportedly 8.5 crore for his last film “Shankar Dada Zindabad”, in 2007, before he stepped into politics. In those days, he had no competition since Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nag, were no match to his stardom, while new-age stars Pawan, Mahesh and NTR were finding their ground. But now the scenario is totally different, since his brother Pawan is undisputed t-wood king, closely followed by Dhookudu star and both are charging above Rs. 15 crore each per film.

So, should Chiru charge on par with Pawan or Mahesh or could quote 17 to 18 crores, to show that he is still has the magic to woo viewers. Also overrule the arguments, that his political stint had dented his charisma. Even though, top producers like Aswini Dutt, KRR, K S Rama Rao and Allu Arvine would be willing to pay his price and making rounds to re-launch the megastar after a 7 year break, or Chiru will prefer to do a film for his son and star Ram charan and want amount Jagadeka veerudu should draw in the 60-crore budget movie. Maybe his fans feels that he is still ‘badshah’ of T-town, unmdindful of his political debacle, while his detractors, have their own doubts, about his dented charisma. Lets see, how Chiru would tackle his comeback and silence his critics, by drawing highest pay cheque or not?

Hottest Size Zero On Telugu Screen

aaa

Stick beauties and size zeroes are never the cup of tea for Telugu cinema lovers. The likes of Parvathi Melton and Sarah Jane Daiz are not in vogue of a tempting physique that could draw attention from Tollywood and went aloof. Still, here comes another size-zero kind of hottie testing the waters.

Erica Fernandez, the 21 year old Mangalore beauty, is all set to debut on Telugu silver screen with tomorrow’s release Gaalipatam. Although her first Telugu flick Dega still rests in cans, this latest one is hitting screens without any hassles. Showing her off 31-25-34 slim figure in a drum-stick like look, Erica wants to leave her footprints here. While her debut flicks in Tamil and Kannada are major flops, she doesn’t want similar fate meted out to her first step in Tollywood too.

She will be hottest size zero girl in Tollywood if at all she prospers by impressing audiences. This hot art and humanities student went all corners for Gaalipatam including lending her pretty lips for a beautiful kiss that sealed the air in between. Wish her luck folks!

Censor Board Shocked By ‘Sex Tape’

Share

tape

Sex tapes are quite common for our media houses to showcase them on channels during prime time, albeit the main acts blurred. India’s Censor Board is however adamant to grant permission to play a similar sex tape to be screened on 70 mm screens. Find out why!

A Hollywood comedy flick ‘Sex Tape’ that features popular Charlie’s Angels beauty Cameron Diaz in the lead will not get a chance to be played on silver screens across India. With loads of Cameron and hero Jason Segel’s frontal and posterior nudity taking the most of the movie, Censor Board’s examining committee and revision committee made it clear indirectly that there is no question of this film’s release in the country. This isn’t America to release such a nude-film on screens as sensibilities in this land are quite opposite and skin show is conservative.

Sex Tape is a comedy that deals with a couple who accidentally upload their own sex-tape onto some iPads which they have gifted to their friends and relatives on Christmas Eve. Neither the flick is culturally sensitive nor did it get any social message, for which Indian Censor Board will never allow the release.

Boasting her talent in singing, Mumaith Khan has come up with her first single. Lending her vocals for the song titled ‘Addiction’, she has come up with a spicy video where youths will get a feast of her assets and hip-shakes again. Unlike her past charms, Mumaith failed to enthrall both music lovers and glamour patrons with this video. She tried her best by including a couple of Telugu lines too in the song, but you’ll understand it only after hearing it a hell lot of times.

Mumaith, the dazzling item bomb of Pokiri and Yogi is craving to bounce back with full thrust, but surely she has lost the path in pursuit of stardom. Probably a couple of honest attempts will project her to the likes of singing heroines like Priyanka Chopra and Shruti Haasan. What say Pokiri lady?

Pranitha Disappointed with Rabhasa?

Share

pranitha ntr

According industry grapevine, pretty actress Pranitha is reportedly disappointed, since one of songs with superstar NTR had been dropped by the director, after promising two songs in much-hyped ‘Rabhasa’.

Even though, Samanta has a meatier role, but even Pranitha had her share of onscreen good moments with Nandamuri star, but has to content with just one duet now. After blockbuster ‘Atharintiki…’, she was the one rise and chose ‘Rabhasa’, because she had a decent enough role, despite Samantha. But due to footage reasons, producer-director, dropped the number, leaving the actress high and dry. She was tad disappointed as one of her songs was dropped in the last minute’ says a source.

Instead of being disappointed, she prefer to do more solo-heroine movies, instead of two-heroine stuff, since more popular Samantha around, it would be difficult for director to accommodate another actress and bound to chop of their portions, if need arises. May be, Pranitha would be more choosy, next time.

Lady Producer Dares to team up with RGV

RGV Ektha Kapoor

Director Ram Gopal Varma is all set for his comeback in Bollywood if reports to be believed. Varma, who has apparently lost his sheen there, has been staying in T-town and confined Telugu films of late.

Latest buzz is that producer Ekta Kapoor, of Balaji Telefilms, has come forward to bail out RGV in Bollywood. At a time when male-producers are not daring enough to produce a film with director Ram Gopal Varma in Hindi, finally a lady producer has come to fore.

Recently, Varma met Ekta during the promotions of Ek Villain where the former narrated her the script to which Ekta confirmed after two days. Though it’s been confirmed, the cast, crew and other details need to be worked out, say sources in the know. Buzz is that it will take a while for the project to hit the floors. Looks like, good days are back for RGV.

Energetic Hero Completes A Decade

manchu manoj

Even from young age, he knows that he is here to entertain people all the way. Manchu Manoj, the child artist from Major Chandrakanth, has turned pro with Donga Dongadhi that released in theatres on August 6th, 2004, exactly a decade back. Despite being from a celebrity family that exercises huge influence on Tollywood, he has his ups and downs in this journey and yet to cement his position.

Taking his father Mohan Babu’s vision forward, Manoj became a hero, laced with style and substance. Though he faced some flops earlier, he turned his body language into unique style with flicks like Nenu Meeku Telusa and Bindaas. Later Manoj surprised the young group of heroes when he signed a multi-starrer with Bunny, critically acclaimed Vedam. Notably he walked away with honors for Bindaas, for which he has won Nandi Special Jury award. Mr Nookayya and Potugadu are movies of a kind that boasted a part of his stamina, which is to be tapped to the maximum yet.

On top of everything, Manoj is a talented thespian and good human being who responds at everything. Wishing him luck for the future, and all the best for his next release Current Teega, directed by Nageshwar Reddy. Rakul Preet Singh is grooving with Manoj for the first time, while international hottie Sunny Leone makes her Tollywood debut with this flick.
