Bandla Ganesh is one of the busiest producers of Tollywood in recent times. Bandla is a very animistic character. His speeches, hungama created a lot of fun in fan groups.

The side actor turned producer was very active in Social networking site, Twitter during the production of NTR’s Baadshah. Those days, he would tweet several times in a day about the movie. And every tweet used to have the word ‘Blockbuster’ in it. Online Junta used to make so much of fun of him then.

And now a film production house, Egg Entertainments is planning to make a satirical film on him. The title ‘Blockbuster Bandla Ganesh’ is registered with Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce.

Baadshah is the biggest grosser in NTR’s career. Bandla Ganesh sold it at very high prices. The movie ended up as a loss venture for distributors in many areas. Bandla Ganesh’s next production venture Iddarammayilatho is a flop. After a brief break he is now back with Charan and Krishna Vamsi’s Untitled Project.

Padmalaya Studio to be taken back by Govt !

One of the prolific film studios of Tollywood, Padmalaya Studios has come under scanner in recent times. Way back in 1982, the then Chief Minister Chenna Reddy gave 9.518 acres of land in Shaikpet mandal to actor Krishna at a throwaway price of Rs 8,500 per acre to lure film industry from Chennai to Hyderabad.

According to sources, the market price of the land at that time was approximately Rs 5 lakh per acre. As per the rule, the land should be strictly used for film related purposes. However Krishna sold a 5.3 acres to the land to third parties. Currently, the studio stands on just about 4 acres valued at anywhere between Rs 350 and Rs 450 crore as per the prevailing market rates.

There was a long stand controversy regarding this issue. Rangareddy district collector conducted a detail enquiry in to the issue and confirmed that the owners had violated the regulations.Now the collector had ordered Krishna to return back the 9 acres land to the government.

Tollywood beauty bomb Kajal agarwal makes a special impact in films with her talent in acting and also makes us cry in some emotional scenes of film. But when it comes to real life she won’t be able to control that tears and when she starts crying no hero can stop her cry or make her launch until she decides to stop.

Kajal agarwal explains in her recent interview that “I was happy while acting and I will be more happy when my fans react positive on my films but I was also sad in some moments and there was a day that I still remember that I cried all day long without even taking a break for my tears to take rest”.

Kajal adds that “My sister and me are bonded to each other and it was hard for both of us to stay apart from each other. Making this real her marriage takes her away from us and I lost my control after she left I wept out whole day and was seeing her photos and pics all day remembering her”.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi till now ditched seemandhra region and the place he was born and bought up, just to please Congress High Command and Sonia Gandhi who made him the Union Tourism Minister. In Rajya Sabha many lashed out at him for selling his Praja Rajyam party on wholesale to Sonia Gandhi.

He longtime back forgot to fight for the causes of his constituency or region putting his personal and self interests first. However with political in experience some mistakes crop up in his speeches and due to this he is landing in trouble and many suspect he may soon face Sonia’s ire. In his speech on Telangana bill in Rajya Saba, he said though he was for United Andhra Pradesh (samaikyandhra), as a loyal Congress leader he is bound to abide by the decision of the high command.

Had he stopped there, nothing would have happened as Chiru is alreay facing seemandhra ire. However he went on to add that Congress Party and High Command headed by Sonia Gandhi has taken decision to divide Andhra Pradesh much against the wishes of seemandhra people.

Now sources say High Command and Sonia Gandhi is extremely furious on Chiranjeevi’s speech. They are of the opinion that Chiranjeevi committed grave blunder by holding Congress Party and Sonia Gandhi responsible for the state division. Many say now Chiru became persona non grata with both Seemandhra and even Sonia Gandhi.

Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkataramana Reddy led a joint attack on both Kiran Kumar Reddy and TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu for playing with people of Andhra Pradesh. Primarily, Gandra accused Kiran Reddy for funds diversion to Seemandhra districts showing his anti Telangana cover. He produced a copy of GO No 170 showing the diversion of Special Development Funds (SDF).

“Of the total Rs.11, 102 Lakh SDFs, Kiran has sent Rs.9, 733 to 13 Seemandhra districts leaving a meager Rs.1, 369 Lakh to 10 districts of Telangana. In Telangana, maximum funds were flown to Jagga Reddy consitutency who supported United Andhra movement,” Gandra accused.

Attacking Naidu he said, “TDP Chief did not participate in the debate on Telangana Bill in the Assembly. However, he made several statements outside the House to incite people over statehood issue. He is using the situation to mislead people for rebuilding his shattered political image. For this, Naidu should tender an unconditional apology for Semeemandhra people. I assure Seemandhra brothers for the safety of lives and properties in Telangana State. They will always be safe and protected.”

Prabhas’ ‘Mirchi’ Masala Again!

Young  Rebel Star Prabhas’ ‘Mirchi’ is the biggest hit among the actor’s films. The movie collected a share of Rs.45 crores in its full run. As we know, Prabhas has been busy with his ongoing movie ‘Baahubali’, wherein he he essays the role of a warrior. The movie’s shoot will be happening by the end of this year.

It is heard that Prabhas shows his interest in doing another ‘Mirchi’ kind of mass entertainer after ‘Baahubali’. Recently, he has been approached by ‘Mirchi’ makers and he has reportedly given his nod to work with them. An official confirmation is awaited on this project.

Former minister T.G. Venkatesh has warned that bifurcation of the state is not going to see the end of agitations, but it spells the beginning of new agitations. Venkatesh demanded that the new capital of residual Andhra Pradesh shall be located in Rayala Seema region, otherwise there will be another movement for separate state of Rayala Seema.

The grouse of Rayala Seema people has been that in the interest of integrated Andhra Pradesh, they had to lose Kurnool as capital in 1956. Venkatesh has also made it clear that his continuation in Congress has become untenable.  He will soon announce which party he will be joining.

Venkatesh has an ally in his own district of Kurnool, in Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy who is heading a party that aims at creating a separate state of Rayala Seema. Byreddy in fact, has announced that he will field candidates from his party in all Assembly and Lok Sabha seats in Seema.

Akhil Akkineni has come of age and Nagarjuna is planning to launch him soon. The grapevine from Filmnagar is that his maiden project will be directed by Srinu Vaitla. Nagarjuna trusted the job with Srinu Vaitla as he expects the director to take Akhil closer to family audience.

Nagarjuna feels that it will not wise to thrust mass masalas on Akhil and increase the expectations and hype on the first project. We are told that this project may be announced from the dais of Manam audio launch. However, the film will go on floors only on September 20th which happens to be ANR’s Jayanthi.
It is customary in Akkineni family to have any debut on that particular date and Nagarjuna just wanted to continue the tradition. Akhil is a familiar face to Telugu audience with his active participation in Celebrity Cricket League. Already he commands good following in youth and ladies. We will have to see if it helps him in movies too. It is known that Akhil first faced camera as a child artist for Sisindri movie.

Next month, a mega treat is in the offing for mega fans that are waiting eagerly for some action to happen in the heir apparent career. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is on high spirits now, preparing to reveal everything on his birthday.

Charan will be unveiling the first look of his movie being shaped by Krishnavamsi on the eve of his birthday on March 27th. This flick is tentatively titled ‘Govindudu Andari Vadele’, and expected to infuse a perfect family drama into the stream of commercial masala flicks our hero is doing all this time. Currently the unit is canning interesting family scenes in Tamilnadu, and are preparing for launch of first look on our hero’s birthday eve. Ever since Thoofan bombed at box office, Charan hasn’t started his next flick, while Yevadu was an old movie that released after much delay. After exercising options for over 7 months, young mega hero has given nod for Krishna Vamsi. Produced by Bandla Ganesh, this flick is a multi-starrer with prominent senior heroes playing roles beside Charan.

Even without hiring a foreign trainer, Prabhas has built that heavy cut-out by using equipment properly and through strict diet regimen. His breakfast comprises of 40 half boiled egg whites blended with protein powder.

To get a hulk-like monstrous body for Rajamouli designed character, Prabhas’ hard efforts are really paying off. A unit member says that when the actor goes shirtless, it will be a real feast for fans who love to watch masculine bodies on silver screen. That’s Prabhas for you folks!

T-Director’s record: 12 films in 12 months?

You would believe it or not, but ace filmmaker RGV has resolved to make 12 films in 2014 which roughly works out to one film every month to touch his dozen movies mark.

He has completed ‘Pattapagalu’ and ‘Rowdy’ in two and half months and set to make another 10 films, to give a feast to his fans and in fact, he has readied all the scripts and are in ready-to take off soon.

Perhaps, his plan to dish out more films, could be his passion for cinema or he wanting to make more money in 1 year, to clear of his debts if any. Persons close to him, claim that the teaser and trailers for both his film have come out ‘well’ and quite ‘exciting’, so RGV set to make a big comeback to T-town and would establish a new record for a T-tow director. Will he make sensible films or just routine stuff? Only time will tell.

Colours Swati opens up on marriage

After a long hiatus, anchor-turned-actress Swati Reddy is back in news. Of late, there were rumours that she was basking in the company of her beau. Fondly called as ‘Colours’ Swati, the hot lady reveals happenings in her personal life and opens up about her marriage plans.

Quashing all the rumours about tying the knot, Colors Swathi was quick to respond, “I left my marriage thing to parents. They will find a suitable groom for me.” Now and then we here lot about her involvement with some co-stars. Recently she was linked up with her ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ co-star Nikhil. Reacting to them, Swati says, “Rumours are part and parcel of film industry. We assemble in film industry for work, and later we disperse. Tollywood shifting its base?

With Telangana formation is imminent, focus is now shifted to what’s going to happen next? Naturally, all eyes are on Telugu film industry which is the first industry to make its move after the formation of Andhra Pradesh from Chennai 58 years ago. We hear that majority of the Telugu film industry personalities, who hail from Seemandhra, have really no issues with the formation of Telangana. Yet there are wide apprehensions among them about their safety, progress and security in Telangana State despite promises given by several Telangana leaders, activists. At the same time what is luring them is “major tax exemptions” in successor state of AP as Centre declared “Special State” status to it. (Although no clarity is given on this front like what are the tax beneficiaries to industries).

Hence, Tinsel town is abuzz with the news of shifting its base from Hyderabad. Going by our sources, the Telugu film industry is seriously contemplating to move and establish its start-up in residuary state of Andhra Pradesh. This may not happen overnight but in coming ten years (in which Hyderabad is common capital), T-town may move slowly. And two cities in successor AP state are in fray for the film destination. While one being Visakhapatnam which has been in news for a while and the other one is Tirupati. Compared to Tirupati, Vizag has beach locales, spacious locations, roads, development and already Studios like Ramanaidu have set up there. But what is working against Vizag is that geographically it’s far away from Chennai where all post-production labs, recording theatres, music and shooting studios are present.

With this, Temple city Tirupati’s name popped up very recently. Given that Tirupati’s proximity to Chennai and Renigunta airport, few Tollywood big personalities are contemplating to move to Tirupati so that major work could be carried out in Chennai. We also hear that Tollywood is being invited by Chennai industry to come back. Though, T-town may not go back to Chennai, but they’re planning to depend on Chennai for time being until new infrastructure is developed here. Music directors like Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad are already working from Chennai as they have own studios there. As of now, suspense is continuing over what is T-town’s next destination. Friday the Lakshmivaram seems to be some good news for the Telugu Film Industry. Two new movies launched much to the delight of movie lovers. If Gabbar Singh 2 launch has thrilled Pawan Kalyan fans, Drishyam movie Telugu remake started to roll from today much to the cheer of Venkatesh’s fans!

The Mohanlal-Meena starrer movie created a tsunami at the Mollywood box office and ran for 50 days with packed houses! Meena’s performance received rave reviews and she has been roped in to play the female lead even in the Telugu remake.

The male lead will be played by Victory Venkatesh and Nadiya is roped in to play the second female lead. She is going to play the police officer role and Meena to reprise Meena’s role of a mom of two! Yesteryear’s actress turned director Sripriya will wield the megaphone for the movie. This will be produced by mega producer D Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner.

Drishyam will be remade into Tamil and Kannada as well. For the sensibilites the movie has shown this was loved by superstar Kamal Hassan who will do it in Tamil and Crazy Star Ravichandran is going to do in Kannada! Meena will be the female lead in all these languages!

My wife didn’t mind lip-lock scene: Nani

After a year with no releases, Nani is gearing up for his second release of 2014 with Aaha Kalyanam, which releases Friday. The actor has locked lips with debutant Vaani Kapoor in the film. Apparently, Nani’s wife didn’t have a problem with the scene. In fact Nani said that he had sought his wife’s permission before doing the scene and completed it in one take.

He said that the scene has been so aesthetically shot that it never looks dirty. He guarantees that even family as well children can watch that scene and not feel comfortable. Nani also added that he’s game for such scenes in future as well provided if it’s really required in the story. He wouldn’t lock lips just to attract eyeballs for the promotions of a film.

Aaha Kalyanam is the southern remake of Band Baaja Baarat. This is the first time Nani will also be having a simultaneous big release in Tamil. He says he’s happy that his work will get noticed in Tamil as well as he feels it’s good to spread boundaries and work in a competitive industry.

‘Legend’ Satellite Price, Is It Real?

Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishana’s upcoming movie ‘legend’ has been succeeded in generating hype and is doing  good pre release business. Buzz is that top entertainment channels such as Gemini TV, MAA TV etc. are bargaining the movie for Rs.7.5 crores. However, the makers are reportedly demanding Rs.8.5 crores.

Incidentally, this amount is more or less similar to the satellite prices of the movies of this generation’s superstars of tollywood. While some people believe this gossip is true some more movie buffs feel it might be one of the strategies of publicity. Anyways, the movie turned out to be one of the highly anticipated movies of tollywood .Anil Sunkara is producing the movie.

Radhika Apte  and Sonal Chowhan are teaming up with Balakrishna in the movie. Devi Sri Prasad scores the music of the movie. Boyapati Srinu is directing the movie. The movie’s audio launch will be held on 7th March while the movie is slated for 28th March release.

Many are surprised to see such a title and Bala Krishna fans are not at all happy with both title and logo. But sorry boys either movie or title resembles our Bala Krishna, in fact movie title is also same in Tamil ending with Bala Kumari, So film unit had no choice than going for this title. Movie will release by this summer.

Is Gabbar Singh 2 shooting started

By this time, you might have understood already that the muhurat shot of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ happened today. Putting full stop to all other rumours in circulation about this project, the makers have given a strong statement that Pawan is not retracting from his plan.

Finally it is heard that Pawan Kalyan has given nod for the script written by director Sampath Nandi. We have to really appreciate this Racha director for waiting for 3 long years to make his dream of directing Pawan come true. Though ‘Gabbar Singh 2’ is the official project our hero is acting at the moment, bitter news is that shooting of this flick is not going to start any moment now. Regular shooting of GS2 will commence from May and will be released as a Dasara treat.

Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Sinh 2 will be directed by Sampath Nandi, and produced of Sarath Marar on Northstar Entertainment banner. Senior writer Sathyanand is supervising the screenplay of the flick, while Pawan himself took pen to write few lines. As usual, Devi Sri Prasad will continue his magic for Gabbar Singh and Jayanan Vincent is handling cinematography.
