TV News channels and their prime time slots have become highly competitive. When political parties and chief politicians in the state are using these TV channels to target their rivals, obviously such programs will grab the attention of entire state and slots are also charged so costly. One such program telecasted few weeks ago was about Junior NTR as ‘Pilla Kaaki’ and the kind of contorversy stirred by the epsiode was well witnessed in media circles.

Now, one more similar natured program aired freshly has shown nagarjuna in complete negative focus. While the names of top Congress politicians are heard to be the actual men behind defaming nagarjuna in market, till now the actor has remained silent without throwing any strange reactions. Well, close relations between nagarjuna and YSR family members is quoted as a reason for such program but some other sources say there are few acceptable facts discussed in the episode. Finally, the nexus between politics and cinema industry is evident one more time.

Southern filmstar and union Minister for Tourism K. Chiranjeevi Wednesday said that actor Sanjay Dutt, convicted under the Arms Act for his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, should be given mercy as he has “suffered a lot”.

“He has suffered a lot. If he gets mercy, then nothing like it,” Chiranjeevi told reporters here on the sidelines of a tourism-related event. “He is regretting what he has done. He is a nice person. I pray for him from the bottom of my heart. My sympathies are with him,” he added.

Dutt was sentenced to five years in jail by the Supreme Court March 21 for illegal arms possession during the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. He was asked to surrender in four weeks to serve his remaining term of three-and-half years as he has already spent 18 months in jail.

Several members of the film fraternity and politicians like former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh and actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada have spoken in Sanjay’s support. Press Council of India chairperson Markandey Katju also sought pardon on humanitarian grounds for the actor and Zaibunissa Kazi, both of whom have been sentenced to five years in prison for their role in the 1993 Mumbai bombings.

However, other political parties like the BJP and the Shiv Sena have opposed the move, saying it would not be fair to pardon Dutt.

Telugu actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao junior, commonly known as junior NTR, will pay tribute to his grandfather by grooving to several old hits of Senior NTR in upcoming action-drama “Baadshah”.

“Junior NTR will groove to a five-minute scene featuring several old songs of senior NTR. Since he is an extremely good dancer, we thought it would make sense to make him shake a leg to some of the memorable hits of his grandfather,” film’s spokesperson told.

“He will dance to Telugu songs such as ‘Atta Madugu’ and ‘Vaagulona’ among others. We were tight-lipped about it all these days, but since the film is releasing in few days, we decided to break the news to elevate the excitement,” he added.

While Junior NTR has grooved to remix version of songs from his grandfather’s films such as “Aaku Chatu Pinde” and “Olami Thikka”, this is the first time is doing a medley.

Directed by Srinu Vaitla, “Baadshah” also stars Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep, Brahmanandam, M.S. Narayana, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, Ashish Vidyarthi, Kelly Dorji and Chandra Mohan. It is releasing worldwide April 5.

One of the highlights of the film is that it has four cinematographers – K.V. Guhan, I. Andrew, Jayanan Vincent and R.D. Rajasekhar.

Superstar Rajanikanth is all set to walk on world’s renowned red carpet in Cannes International Film Festival. Plans are on to screen his film ‘Kochadaiyan’ directed by his daughter Soundarya at the festival. Currently the movie’s post production work is in progress. Rajini has completed the dubbing part of the film recently. Resul Pokutty who is supervising the dubbing was astounded by Rajini’s work.

Rajini’s daughter Soundarya is directing the movie, while Eros International and Media One Entertainment are producing the movie. R. Sharath Kumar, Sobhana, Jackie Shroff and Nassar are playing vital roles in the movie. A.R. Rahman is composing the music. The film will be dubbed in Telugu as ‘Vikram Simha’.

Looks like Allu Arjun fans are in a due for big action treat with Iddarammayilatho. The first look teaser of the movie will release on 8th April on the occasion of the actor’s Birthday. An agitated Allu Arjun will be seen uttering the dialogue ‘Mattallev.. Matladukovadallev’ and begin thrashing the baddies. The last schedule of the movie will begin tomorrow in Hyderabad. The entire shooting will be wrapped up with this 10 days schedule.

Amala Paul and catherine Tresa are the heroines. Puri Jagannadh who earlier delivered a super hit to Bunny in the form of Desamudhuru is the director of this film.. The film is being produced by Bandla Ganesh under Parameswara Arts banner. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer.

 

The rift within the Baadshah team had come in the form of blessing in disguise for Kona Venkat. The writer reportedly vented all his frustration in front of Pawan Kalyan who was very moved. The actor has expressed his willingness to star in his debut movie provided he comes with a good script. So, in all probability Kona Venkat will very soon turn in to a director.

Kona is reportedly very busy working on the script for this ambitious project. Pawan is currently shooting for his next under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. Racha fame Sampath Nandi is reportedly working on a script for Pawan.

 The Delhi Belly remake in Telugu which was so far called ‘Naughty Boys is undergoing a title change. The movie from now will be called ‘Crazy’. Starring Arya, Ali, Hansika and Anjali in the lead role, This is a remake of Imran Khan starrer Bollywood block buster film, ‘Delhi  Belly’. The film is being remade in Tamil as ‘Settai’. The dubbing of the film is being done at a brisk pace now in Telugu. The film will have its audio launch on April 4th at Ramoji Film City. And it is expected to hit the screens this Ugadi festival.
