Saranya Mohan to try luck in Bollywood
Remember Saranya Mohan who played lead role in Bheemili, Kaththi and Villagelo Vinayakudu? The beauty may not have enough offers in hand down the South but she managed to bag a Bollywood offer this time. She is reportedly acting in a movie titled ‘Badlapur Boys’ which is the remake of Tamil movie, Vennila Kabaddi, Kullu’ (Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu in Telugu).
Shailesh Varma is wielding megaphone for this project. Renowned B-town editor A Muthu turns producer with film ‘Badlapur Boys’. Muthu will be producing the film in association with Salim Tanvar, under the banner of Karrm Entertainment.
Gundello Godari gets decent opening
Lakshmi Manchu’s Telugu romantic-drama “Gundello Godari”, a love story set against the Godavari 1986 floods, has raked good opening in its opening weekend worldwide. Despite the poor talk of the movie, the movie garnered good collection due to Siva Ratri and the labour holiday that followed on Monday
Starring Aadhi Pinisetty, Lakshmi Manchu, Tapsee Pannu and Sundeep Kishan, the film is directed by debutant Kumar Nagendra. It also features Ravi Babu, Suja Varunee, Jeeva, Annapurna and Mumaith Khan. The film has music by maestro Illayaraja and cinematography by M.R Palanikumar. The Tamil dubbed version of the film titled “Maranthen Mannithen” is slated to release March 23.
Bol Bachchan remake gets a title
Victory Venkatesh and Energetic Hero Ram are now gearing up for the shooting of their next movie which is the remake of Bol Bachchan. The movie will begin with a formal puja at Rama Naidu studios. The regular shooting of the movie will begin from 22nd of this month. According to our sources, the movie is titled Sarvejana Sukhinobhavanthu. ‘Just smile’ is reportedly the caption.
The movie is the official Telugu remake of Bollywood super hit movie, Bol Bachchan. Venky will be reprising the role of Ajay Devgn and Ram will play the role of Abhishek Bachchan from the original. Interestingly, Bol Bachchan itself is an official remake of the popular 1979 film Gol Maal and is a run away hit. Venkatesh’s brother Suresh Babu and Ram’s uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore will be jointly producing this film. K Vijay Bhaskar who directed movies like Nuvvu Naku Nachav and Jai chiranjeeva will yield megaphone for this film. More details on this project are awaited.
No time for Bollywood – Samantha
Every heroine down the South will be really excited in making a career out of Bollywood but slender beauty Samantha has no such ideas. Rumours are rife that Samantha is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Her launch film would be Singam 2 opposite Ajay Devgan we hear. But she nayed all such rumours.
Samantha is starring in Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram’s movie. There is NTR and Harish Shankar film and a Surya-Linguswamy bilingual. Apart from these Samantha is also a part of director V V Vinayak’s film. Finally she stars with NTR in Rabhasa and in Nag and Naga Chaitanya starrer Manam. With such a line-up there is no possibility that Samantha would have dates to accommodate Bollywood. But she said that definitely it will happen and probably her Bollywood debut will happen next year.
Special Muhurtham for Baadshah release
As the release of Young Tiger NTR’s Baadshah is fast approaching, the producer of the movie is more excited than any one else. He reportedly make sure every thing goes well for the movie release and even went on fix a special muhurtham for his movie release. Brahmin pundits reportedly suggested him to release ‘formally’ on the auspicious muhurtham of 5.23 am early morning hour on April 5th. He posted this information on his twitter account “Blockbuster Baadshah audio is going to be released on 17th march 🙂 Baadshah starts ruling the box office from Apr 5th morning 5:23!Bless!!”
Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead in the movie while Navdeep and Kelly Dorjee will be seen in negative roles in this action entertainer. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat are writing the script along with Sreenu Vaitla. Thaman is composing the music.
