This is what happens when a star hero has two projects going in parallel. Ever since the first look teaser of Junior NTR’s ‘ramayya vastavayya’ is released to media on the eve of his birthday, more than the actual producer Dil Raju it is Bellamkonda Suresh who is feeling the pressure to meet the expectations of Fans for ‘Rabhasa.’ Yes, the Harish Shankar directorial ‘RV’ has got positive buzz with the birthday teaser which seems to have put the stress on other director Santosh Srinivas’s ‘Rabhasa.’

Gossipmongers say that, Bellamkonda is killing his director Santosh to add more energy and more action to all the scenes conceived earlier. The top producer is just forcing the director to give that kid of a final output for ‘Rabhasa’ which should be more entertaining and higher in BO range than ‘ramayya vastavayya.’ Such positive healthy competition will be happy to hear for Nandamuri Fans because they will have two blockbusters in offing for this year. Let us see, how far this ‘Kandireega’ director will satisfy Bellamkonda.

 

Action hero gopichand’s ‘Sahasam’ has been being filmed for some time. With the central theme based on hunting a treasure, the film unit went on places for its shoot. The movie was extensively shot in Ladakh as well. Chandrasekhar Yeleti directed this film while Taapsi Pannu romances gopichand. Shakthi Kapoor is the antagonist.

Here comes the competition for gopichand. Hero Srikanth is currently working for his new film ‘Kshatriya’,which is also a treasure hunt film. An NRI girl, a heiress, returns to India to retrieve her property and unearth hidden hidden treasures. She befriends Srikanth and then he sets out with her on the treasure hunt. Kumkum is seen as an NRI girl here. Uday Chand is directing the film.

 

 

After successful combination in Mass and Don, Nagarjuna and Lawerence are going to team up once again. This new film is apparently going to be nothing but, sequel to the film ‘Don’. It is expected to go onto floors once the actor and the director are finished with there current projects. Akkineni Nagarjuna is busy with the film ‘Bhai’ where as Raghava Lawrence is directing the third film in ‘Muni’ series. If things go according to the plan the sequel would be hitting the sets in the beginning of next year.

Don has Nagarjuna playing a mafia don and Lawerence as his brother. Anushka played the love interest of Nagarjuna in the movie. We will have to see how the casting will be in this sequel movie.

 

Naga Chaitanya deliberately stayed away from social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, even though most of his contemporaries have been extensively using those public platforms. When asked why he isn’t on any of the micro blogging sites, Naga Chaitanya revealed,”Staying away from such platforms doesn’t mean I don’t like moving socially. People were using them for promoting themselves and it has become a publicity format. I want my films to do all the talking. Chaitu’s comments came a shock to Nagarjuna and Akhil who are active on twitter. Though the remarks appears to be hard-hitting, there is a bit of truth in them.

Naga Chaitanya scored a decent hit recently with Thadaka. His next movie, the remake of Hello Brother is going on to sets very soon. His other movie, Autonagar Surya is still lying in cans due to bad finances of the producer.

 

In a section of media it was reported that Rajamouli is getting ready to do a role in his own direction. Citing a photograph on facebook, it was said that he would be acting in Baahubali, his Rs75 Cr budgeted historical drama. Rajamouli denied the news. He tweeted, “I am not acting in bahubali..:) The pic which is making rounds is 3 years old. I got my beard done in that style just for fun.. “

The movie which is reportedly the biggest budget movie ever made in Telugu very soon. Anushka will be pairing with Prabhas in this movie for the third time after Billa and Mirchi. Rana is playing Prabhas’ brother in the movie. This project will be jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media banner and will be presented by K Raghavendra Rao. Keeravani will be scoring the music.

 

Catherine Tresa is bagging all the big movies even though she is yet to taste commercial success. This Kerala Kutty has been paired opposite Ram Charan in his new film to be launched next month. The film is to be directed by Koratala Siva of Mirchi fame.

Catherine plays the main female lead and the other heroine in the movie is yet to be finalized. She made debut in Telugu in director Neelkantha’s Chammak Challo. Two of her films – Allu Arjun starrer Iddarammayilatho and Krishnavamsi directed Nani starrer Paisa – are gearing up for release.

 

Annapurna International School of Film and Media will conduct a four-week summer workshop on filmmaking for engineering students, beginning May 27, the institution said Tuesday.

The workshop involves working in teams to develop stories and to produce films. This process enables students to gain experience in the soft skills that are sought by employers.

The workshop covers script writing, basic camera operations, editing and sound mixing, with a focus on teamwork and creativity, said a statement by the school run by the family of legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

“For many engineering students, the focus on technical studies and preparing for exams can squeeze out any time for creative endeavors. That’s why we have scheduled this workshop in the summer holidays, so that students can build their communication skills without impacting their studies,” said AIFSM president and popular Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna.

The need for such a workshop was felt as most students lack verbal and written communication skills, creativity, and teamwork and etiquette, he said.

“I believe that schools like ours can help by assisting the students with the hands-on teamwork experience that is missed in our schools and universities. Also, soft skills are characteristics that make us more likable and help with making new friends,” Nagarjuna added.

 

With repeated change of release dates due to the delay in shoot, finally, it appears Prince Mahesh Babu and director Sukumar’s movie would be releasing for Pongal, 2014 for sure. On the other side, Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s new movie in the direction of Koratala Siva will go to floors in the month of June. Since Ram Charan has no more commitments other than this project and with the completion of ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Yevadu’ movies’ shoots, the new film of Ram Charan is being planned to release for Pongal, 2014. The working title of this movie would be ‘top lechipoddi’. Likely, Mahesh and Ram Charan will have face to face battle for Pongal,2014.

Incidentally, this year’s Pongal witnessed the releases releases of ‘Naayak’ and ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. Though both the movies turned to be blockbusters, being a solo hero and slightly better collections than ‘SVSC’ Ram Charan got an edge over Mahesh. In this scenario, both the heroes will have tough fight yet again. But then, who gets victory? Hope, both will do it.

 

 

Lakshmi Prasanna is the lone girl from Manchu family balancing her job both as a producer and then as an actor. In fact, it was first TV show bought her to immense recognition and then on Lakshmi grew in demand. Apparently, her performance in ‘Gundello Godari’ released few months ago is rated as award winning by critics. However, the movie wasn’t commercial success. Now, Lakshmi seems to be giving a lot of concentration on production activities of their home banners.

There is Manchu multi star flick and few more in pipeline for this year. On the other side, we have even heard about Lakshmi bagged a role in Hollywood flick which will also release with in this year. Coming to Telugu films, she is taking a break from acting to make few of their home banner products commercially hit the BO.

 

Harish Shankar is an expert in elevating the real off screen character of his heroes on screen by mixing some knack dialogue punches. It was earlier seen in ‘Gabbar Singh’ when Pawan Kalyan says, ‘Nenu Trend Follow Avanu Set Chesthanu’ or ‘Naakkonchem Thikkundi Daaniko Lekkundi’ or ‘Naaku Nene Potee…Naathoni Naake Potee.’ Now, Harish is repeating the same technique even for Jr NTR and the teaser dialogue in ‘ramayya vastavayya’ says it all.

Yes, the powerful punch of ‘Buddodu’ and ‘Guddaloodadesi Kodatha’ as seen in yesterday’s teaser is opined to have some sort of indirect attack on a section of media and anti Fans who made fun of Tarak some time ago telecasting programs with the names of ‘Pilla Kaaki’ and repeatedly addressing him as ‘Buddodu.’ At that time, Harish got the idea of cashing on the situation and the dialogue we see today is a repercussion of what happened on those days. Hopefully, NTR settles many more accounts once ‘ramayya vastavayya’ hits the screens on Sep 27th.

Having been inspired by ‘Top Lechipoddi’ song from ‘iddarammayilatho’,  producer Bandla Ganesh Babu registered the title ‘Top Lechipoddi’ at the film chamber some time ago. There after, everybody started speculating that the title was registered for Mega Power Star ram charan and Koratala Siva combo’s movie which is to be produced by Bandla Ganesh Babu. However, it is learnt that the title has not been registered for ram charan-Koratala film and the title would be revealed when the movie is launched.

Meanwhile, ram charan’s ‘Zanjeer’  was wrapped up some days ago while his ‘Yevadu’ is in the last leg of its shoot. Both the movies are expected to hit screens in the months of July and August.
