Pre-release talk of Thadaka
The makers reportedly had trimmed down Sunil’s role significantly from the movie which is a highlight character in the original, Vettai. We will have to see how this affects the movie. As per sources, the movie content wise is Average to Above Average and has good scope to do well at the box office.
Naidu’s weapon against Jagan misfired
Naidu once used Adikesavulu Naidu, the powerful political leader and liquor baron of Chittoor district to expose the corruption of Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. Adikesavulu Naidu provided Naidu his helicopter to expose how YSR had grabbed public lands in Idupula Paya. PNV Prasad who was then close to Naidu traveled by that helicopter and took photographs of the lands annexed by YSR, even risking his life. Naidu used the photographs to malign YSR.
However, YSR lured Aadikesavulu Naidu into Congress later, by offering him the post of TTD chairman. Aadikesavulu Naidu, whose life’s ambition was to become TTD chairman fell for that offer and ditched Naidu. Aadikesavulu Naidu who was an MP from TDP then, even supported the Congress government which was in minority at the time at the centre. PNV Prasad who shot the photographs of the lands of YSR is now in the YSR Congress.
M V Mysoora Reddy played a key role in preparing the book ‘Raja of Corruption’ TDP published on the corruption of YSR. However, Mysoora joined the YSR Congress and said that what was written in the book was at the behest of Naidu and the charges made were not facts. He said they wrote what Naidu wanted him to write.
The latest blow to Naidu is the departure of Dadi Veerabhadra Rao. Dadi was used by Naidu to lash out at Jagan day in and day out. Now Dadi joined YSR Congress and started lambasting Naidu. It is learnt that Dadi assured Jagan that he would expose how Naidu asked him to make false charges against Jagan.

The real pleasure of ‘GJG.’
We hear on Vijay Kumar Konda receiving a call from Mega camp and then Harsha too poured in with direction offers. In one way, Nithin hiked the price…Konda got the break…Harsha is stepping into the shoes of direction. One movie and three jackpots, this is the real pleasure of ‘GJG.’
Superb response to Sahasam trailer
The trailer release few hours ago is getting rave response on net. Definitely, the hard work of Gopi, Yeleti and technical crew can be sensed on screen. If everything goes well, there is a good hit on cards and fortunes will change for Gopichand. Story deals with a treasure hunt and the history of India-Pakistan partition is also discussed here. Great to see such peculiar concepts and let us wish them all the best!
The Congress stands in Karnataka over BJP
The Congress Wednesday prepared to take power in Karnataka with an absolute majority, leaving the ruling BJP far behind with less than 40 seats in the 225-member assembly. As votes were counted for the elections held Sunday, the Bharatiya Janata Party appeared set for a humiliating rout in the state where it took power five years ago relegated to the third spot.
In contrast, the Congress headed for triumph. Congress workers celebrated wildly in Bangalore, bursting firecrackers. Congress strongman in Karnataka Siddharamiah was sanguine in victory. “It was only expected,” said the man who could be the next chief minister. Added BJP leader and former chief minister Sadanand Gowda soberly: “We have not been able to rise to the occasion. We could not reach out to the voter with whatever development work we did in Karnataka.”
According to the latest trends available, the Congress could win 118 seats, comfortably over the halfway mark of 112. The BJP, which has seen three chief ministers in five years and found itself split right down the middle with B.S. Yeddyurappa forming his own party, was way behind with 36 seats.
It was a reversal of fortunes of sorts for the two main parties – the Congress, readying for power in Bangalore, is on the backfoot in New Delhi as the BJP demands the resignations of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as union ministers Pawan Kumar Bansal and Ashwani Kumar.
Said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi: “We are winning because people have seen through and rejected the BJP.” For the BJP, the election result was a sharp fall from five years ago when it won 110 seats and formed its first government in the south with the help of five independents.
The rout saw deputy chief minister K.S. Eshwarappa, trailing in his home constituency in Shimoga along with Law Minister S. Suresh Kumar in Rajajinagar in Bangalore and Muruegesh Nirani in Bilagi in north Karnataka.
The party lost badly both in rural and urban areas. A sorry scenario because it had hoped to make Karnataka the base to make a major breakthrough into south India. Said the party’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy: “We have lost the election. And it is time for introspection.”
JD-S leader H.D. Kumaraswamy, who had hoped perhaps to be kingmaker, said he was happy to be the main opposition.
“We will be happy to be the main opposition in Karnataka. We will play our role well. The Congress is not going to come to us seeking our help, we know that,” the former chief minister said.
The assembly has 224 elected and one nominated members. The election took place Sunday for 223 seats as election was cancelled in one constituency after the BJP candidate died.
