Dadi moved to YSRCP, Kadiyam moved to TRS

Even as the TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu completed a 2,800 km marathon pada yatra and has been turning complacent that he had strengthened the party, he appears to be losing several senior leaders. While one is Dadi Veerabhadra Rao who acted efficiently as the opposition leader in the Legislative council and the other is former minister Kadiyam Srihari.

Both are members of the politburo, the highest policy making body of the party. The two and another member Hari Krishna had recently abstained from the public meeting of Naidu at Vizag on the conclusion of his pada yatra.

Kadiyam Srihari has been unhappy about Naidu’s stand on Telangana and has been away from party activities since quite some time. Recently another senior leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu started suffocating Kadiyam with verbal attack. It is learnt that Kadiyam made up his mind to join the TRS. Already Karimnagar TDP MLA Gangula Kamalakar joined the TRS. It is learnt that former minister P Chandrasekhar is also planning to join the rose brigade. While Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy already joined the TRS, Telangana leaders Venugopala Chary, Jogu Ramanna, Nagam Janardana Reddy and Hariswar Reddy had already come out of the TDP.

In the north coastal region, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao is also unhappy with the way he was denied re-nomination to the legislative council. He was hurt that Naidu had not even formally informed him about not being nominated to the council. He is learnt to be hobnobbing with the YSRCP for his own political career.

Chiranjeevi is always a Megastar in movies but when it comes to Politics, the actor fell short of expectations and is currently in the battle of survival. The former actor who is now Union Minister of Tourism, is presently busy campaigning for Karnataka assembly elections. He is drawing huge crowds everywhere and attracting people with his political speech. But will his glamor and popularity convert into votes and will it bring success to Congress party in Karnataka is a big question.

Earlier Chiru canvassed for Tamil Nadu assembly elections and Karnataka MP Polls, but Congress lost very poorly. Now this will be litmus test for Megastar who is known to be a very prominent leader in Congress party. All the best Chiru!

Forbes India had released a list of outstanding performances in 100 years of Indian cinema. And in the list of 25, there is only one Telugu actor in the list. Guess who? NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan, Chiranjeevi…? Not at all. It is Somayajulu’s performance in Shankarabharanam. He stood in the list of Forbes’s “25 Greatest Acting Performances of Indian Cinema”.

‘Sankarabharanam’ was released in the year 1979 but the movie started slow at box office. As the positive talk generated the movie made it big at box office and also won four National Film Awards, five Nandi Awards and Somayajulu won Filmfare award in Best actor category.
