Pawan Kalyan’s magic works again

Share
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan has spilled his magic once again, if the Box Office result of ‘Ishq’ is any indication.
The brand of Powerstar has surely increased the reach of ‘Ishq’. His gracious presence at the audio launch of the film is said to be having a big impact on the revenue. Despite Nitin having 12 successive flops under his belt, the opening weekend collections of Ishq are promising and not to forget Pawan here. Ishq is posing a serious threat to Sunil’s Poola Rangadu in A and B centres.
Nitin is on cloud nine and has every reason to be happy with the successful run of ‘Ishq’. Don’t be surprised, if the young crop of heroes queue up before Pawan for that magical touch!!!

Share

To put an end to the speculation in Media about his political entry, Akkineni Nagarjuna has chosen the social networking platform.

The senior hero made it clear that he is not gonna enter politics. “I am not getting into politics….thank you,” tweeted Nag.

whether he would make an entry into active politics.
The media has blown Nagarjuna’s comments out of proportion by reporting that the actor will plunge into politics soon. But, Nag is quick to react to put an end to the speculation. Seems like, Nag is of the opinion that ‘Business’ suits him to a tee, but not ‘Politics’!!!

Sex Bomb @ 1 Day, Cute Heroine @ 1 Year

Share
A sex bomb made it one day and a cute heroine took it for one year. Ravishingly hot Asha Saini aka Flora and bubbly aunty Genelia have made records in the said periods. Look out!
The two actresses are celebrating their victory in the Limca Book of Records for the newly announced National-Records-2012. Flora Saini is credited with most number of releases in one day. Three of her films Broker (Telugu), Vissmaya Pranaya (Kannada) and Vah Re Va (Kannada) were released on Dec 31st. 2010 giving her a way into the Limca Book of records. On the other hand Genelia walked out with the world-record of most number of releases for an actress in a calendar year. She now holds Limca World Record of delivering four different super hit films in four different languages – Satya (Kannada), Santosh Subramaniyam (Tamil), Ready (Telugu) and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Both the actresses did their best to raise the mercury levels in Tollywood and its time to congratulate them!

Three missiles against Mahesh Babu!

Share
Superstar Mahesh Babu has been way ahead in the number one race with two big hits in a row. He has three films among the top five all time hits in Tollywood history. Although he doesn’t have the number one hit in his name, Mahesh has gained serious pace with Dookudu and Businessman movies. Now it is the time for other close competitors to prove their mettle.
All the three close competitors of Mahesh Babu are coming up with their latest releases this summer. Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, Junior NTR’s Dammu and Ram Charan’s Racha are slated for release in summer with a considerable gap between them. All the three movies are riding high on expectations and their fans are expecting these films to be huge hits and thus proving that they are as good as Mahesh when they deliver the goods.
Fans are not expecting them to break the record of Magadheera, but a forty to fifty crore blockbuster will do. Because by doing so they will prove a point that with the changed market strategies and statistics, every superstar can recreate the magic of Dookudu at the box office. So that will keep the ‘number one kaun!’ debate open and intact. Interesting scenario indeed!

Nagarjuna is the best among the TOP 4

Share
Nagarjuna couldn’t enjoy the mass following as Chiranjeevi or Balakrishna did. He didn’t have the success rate of Venkatesh either. However, he had been on top by making path breaking films and also regular commercial potboilers. Nagarjuna was regarded as one of the pillars of Tollywood for over a period of two decades.
Now with the Top 4 have gone aside and are failing to compete with the younger stars, it is time to look back at the achievements of these veterans. Chiranjeevi ruled the roost and was an undisputed king while he was limited to cine field. Entering politics has brought down his image and fan following. He has become laughing stock in politics and every Tom, Dick and Harry has thrown mud on him.
Balakrishna is still doing films that doesn’t suit his age and is being humiliated time and again. Adhinayakudu having no takers has worsened things for him. Venkatesh too is not doing films that suit his age. Acting opposite very young heroines is not earning him any respect.
Among all the four, Nagarjuna realized that he can’t do so called romantic or commercial films anymore and he started heading in a different path before someone shows him one. He also knows that everybody doesn’t fit in politics and is staying away from direct politics. He has always been a thinking hero and that is finally getting his due as public agree that he is the best strategic hero among the celebrated four.

Gossip of the Month: Allu’s 3 films with MaheshBabu

Share
As usually, like all the months, in this month too, we heard many gossips. However, as per the analysts, one gossip should be given the first rank among all other ones. As per this gossip, Mega producer allu aravind proposed Prince Mahesh Babu to work three consecutive projects with him. Also, he offered Rs. 15 crores remuneration per every film and currently, Mahesh is busy thinking about this offer.
When we contacted highly reliable sources close to allu aravind, it is known that no such offer has been put before the Prince. Also, they say, currently, Mahesh camp, which includes Krishna, Vijayanirmala and Mahesh have no friendly relations to Mega family. That’s why Mahesh has skipped the engagement ceremony of Ram Charan as well. The tiffs between these two families are reportedly due to the records controversy of Magadheera and Dookudu.

Mother and Lover Dragged Heroine To Bikini

Share
At a very tender age, this heroine did some raunchy roles soaring the temperatures high with her dare-bare acts. Off course, behind every sexiest heroine, there is at least one family member bargaining out there for every undressed piece of cloth. Same is the case with Saranya!
With her sexy girl next door acts in a successful movie ’10th class’ long back, Saranya was expected a better position than she is now. When offers started pouring in as her money-minded mother attracted producers swiftly, she eloped with her lover for a quick marriage. After some turn of events like kidnap cases, ugly fights and emptied wallet, Saranya now wants to sizzle on silver screen again. For that, the babe got a steamy photoshoot done, which exposes her raw body in a bikini bra and hot-pant covered by a translucent piece of cloth.
Undoubtedly, Saranya’s mother who want to see her daughter as a big starlet and her husband who leads life with her earnings are the cause for these acts, say sources. These kind of stories are not new to the tinsel town, say it ‘Athiloka Sundari’ Sridevi or ‘Vanishing cylinder’ Aarthi Agarwal, sad but pity!

Talk-Of-Town: Tollywood Shining In 2012

Share
Telugu Film Business is coming back to a normal after a long time. Unlike a couple of blockbusters and rest all biting mud, Tollywood is seeing a fresh lease of life in 2012.
This year started on a high note with ‘Businessman’ creating wonders at the Box Office. Though some people criticized the movie for its excessive dose of philosophy and violence, the Mahesh Babu starrer created records in collections. This is followed by Venky’s ‘Bodyguard’ which put up a considerable show. Later February saw the successes of Sunil’s ‘Poola Rangadu’ and Siddharth’s ‘Love Failure’. Freshly, Nitin’s ‘Ishq’ got rave reviews for its fresh looks and is slowly picking up at theaters.
For every set of films released in a particular weekend, at least one of them is perfroming well these days, a noted producer says. If every month a couple of films scores hits like this, then the industry can survive any kinds of financial debacles, say producers. Is this not ‘Tollywood Shining’

Police Complaint Against Brahmanandam

Share
In a rather shocking incident, a youth tried to register a complaint against star-comedian Brahmanandam. The incident came to light very late and here goes the story!
A person from Rajahmundry has complained to the authorities at Madhurapudi (Rajahmundry) Airport that Brahmanandam has slapped him in public. When the youth tried to click a picture of Brahmi with his mobile at the airport lounge, the actor worked out his hand reportedly. However, the airport authorities asked the person to register a complaint with the local police station and the local police redirected him to settle the matter with airport officials, again.
As the repeated bids of that youth to lodge a case against Brahmi foiled, some localities planned to register an SC, ST Atrocities case against Brahmi and dropped in the last minute. The whole drama looks completely cinematic and the actor is unavailable for comment.

ANR’s Romantic Talk Shocks Followers!

Share
At this age of ANR, one generally expects him to talk about philosophy regarding life and things like planning future. Contrary this legendary actor Akkineni Nageswararao talks about romance and off-course that shocks!
Akkineni is heard talking about the effects of moon in igniting romance and its role in arousing the passionate feelings. The senior actor stated that he had talked about this many times through his films’ songs and the doubt for him is what will happen in those hours where moon is absent. Here is the original text posted by him on his micro blogging site…
“Chandamama srungaaraanni prerepisthaadani, virahaanni srushtisthaadani kavulu, migathaa vaaru antaaru…
… Ee samasyapai cinemallo nene aneka paatalu paadanu. Kaani naako sandheham–chandamama leni gantalu chaalaa untaayi…
.Appudu srungaarabhaavam kalagadhaa? Viraham undadhaa? Aalochinchandi…”
What is ANR trying to preach or make us understood is the big thing to read between lines here!

Is Gopichand Making A Risky Attempt?

Share
The action hero wants to forget his engagement breakup story fast as he moves on to work slowly. But in the process, Gopichand is taking some risky decisions that could put his sloppy career in more trouble, feels T-towners.
Under the direction of critically acclaimed director Chandrasekhar Yeleti, Gopi started work for his new movie. The combo already worked for the movie ‘Okkadunnadu’, which got rave reviews and tumbled financially. The story of this current movie revolves around a treasure hunt, as said by the director. At a point where he should do more commercial action-packed movies, Gopichand’s like for screenplay based subjects is shocking everyone.
Critics are saying that this hero lost his Box Office credentials with some nonsense movies and this time people will expect high voltage entertainer from him. Furthermore Chandrasekhar Yeleti’s movies are something different that doesn’t suit his image, they added. Looks like Gopichand is making a risky attempt!

Balakirshna hikes his remuneration !

Share

Nandamuri Balakrishna and his films always carry some sensation or other. And this sensation happens even before the film releases. And right now, his new movie ‘Adhinayakudu’ has been in the pipeline since a while but is yet to see the light. Well, sources say there are no buyers till now for ‘Adhinayakudu’.

As if that is not enough, here is another twist. It is heard that Balayya has been demanding a whopping remuneration of Rs 6.5 crores per film. Well, sources say he got this remuneration for his last release ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ and he has quoted the same for ‘Adhinayakudu’.

Buzz is that the budget has shot up and no buyers for the film now. The other question is does Balayya have so much of market rate. Many are saying no but Balayya is demanding. The analysts say the senior heroes time is over and it is about time even Balayya does something about his remuneration.

Is Chiranjeevi considered for CM post?

Share

This sounds a bit bizarre but things are moving positively towards Chiranjeevi as per the sources. Yes, political world is so volatile that anything may happen at any point of time.

The sources from Andhra Bhavan in Delhi say that the steps are being taken to change the CM of the state in the month of April. On the other hand, even Botsa is going to be removed from the position of PCC President. Knowing this, already the leaders like Jana Reddy, JC Diwakar Reddy and R Damodar Reddy have started their lobbying at the center and testing their luck.

But High Command is thinking in different way. There is no leader with mass appeal to drive the party even till 2014 elections. The situation of Congress in AP is going worse day by day. Hence the High Command is thinking to place a leader with mass appeal as CM, to bring a mass hysteria among people. When High Command attempted to zoom its lens on the state, it found only Chiranjeevi as prospective person with bigger mass appeal than any Congress leader in the state. Despite his failure as PRP leader, his presence is seen in state politics at least in considerable way. Instead of placing another senior who has no mass appeal as CM, High Command is thinking to make Chiranjeevi sit in the chair to see a change.

So, let us see what sort of fortune is going to shower on Chiranjeevi. If this happens, the power of Astrology proves correct. Many astrologers said that Chiranjeevi’s political career and image in public will grow big only when his second daughter Srija is with him.

At last Nithin scores success with Ishq

Share

Actor Nitin shot to fame with Teja directed ‘Jayam’ and thanks to the success of the film he was touted as the next superstar in the making. But his choice of bad films with routine stories and ordinary directors has pushed him out of the star race.

But he returns to the reckoning with well-tuned romantic movie ‘Ishq’, made with good technical values and superb performances by the lead pair.

Director Vikram Kumar, who had directed R. Madhavan starrer Hindi thriller ’13 B’, has written a good screenplay, which is fresh and contemporary.

The director has also been able to capitalise on cinematography by roping in best-known cameraman PC Sriram. Anoop-Arvind’s music is another plus point.

Kumar has tried to present Nitin differently and the actor shows lot of maturity in his portrayal. Even the conflict point in the story is used effectively.

Romantic sequences involving the two leading artists are well picturised. The first half is breezy and engaging. Though the second half is little inconsistent, the director gets a grip on the story towards the climax, which is interesting.

Of course, the film has loopholes – characterisation of Ajay, who plays heroine’s brother, is confusing. Second half has illogical sequences.

But the flaws notwithstanding, ‘Ishq’ is a winning film and it will attract all sections of the viewers.

Rahul meets Priya on his way to airport and it is love at first sight for them. After some interesting sequences, they come together and love blossoms between them. But there is one sour point. Vidya’s brother with whom Rahul had a tusssle.

Nitin proves to be a competent actor who can carry any role decently. Even in the looks department, he scores well and shows a lot of maturity in his performance.

Nitya Menon takes over from where she had left in ‘Ala Modalaindi’ to prove again that she is the most talented actress. The lead actors share a good chemistry on screen.

Ajay renders justice to his role. Ali adds up to the comedy quotient. Sindhu Tholani, Nagineedu, Sathya Krishna are apt choices for their respective roles.

Sriram’s brilliant camera work and Anoop-Arvind’s soothing music make the film a must watch. The dialogues are crisp and humorous most of the times.

Nitin makes a comeback through ‘Ishq’, which is a feel good romantic film.

Priya Anand’s midnight show on Roads !

Share

Telugu hunk RaNa had won this dusky beauty a hat full of accolades through his debut flick ‘Leader’. If fate played other way round with bewitching Priya Anand, the babe is giving some midnight shows for fans.

Reportedly Priya Anand loves the night life of cities, especially loves to chill out in the chilling weather of Hyderabad. The other day, the dusky beauty is in town on a personal pleasure trip and visited few malls and complexes to meet and greet her fans too. She likes eating idli’s on the mobile Tiffin centers in Yousufguda, which are a craze among youth during nights. When few people recognized her who she is, they started rounding her saying hi and hello. Priya is said to be excited with the warm wishes of her fans and filled with high spirits now to do something to enthrall them on-screen.

Off course, a hot heroine on roads and that too seen during night time definitely excites anyone. On the career front she is not doing well at the present in Telugu circuit, with both her second ventures after ‘Leader’ facing the ire of audiences.

Disturbing 50 Day Stats of ‘Businessman’

Share
When you are unable to please with transparency, at the least confuse the opposition to rake some debate. This seems to be the formula RR Movie Makers are following with their flick ‘businessman’ nearing to 50 days. Yes, one of the posters released into media circles enumerating the 50 days records of film has some sort of confused, disturbing statistics.
While trade analysts say 50 days centers of ‘businessman’ are going to be less than 70, the above poster speaks of 350. Nevertheless, read the first line in poster properly. It announces of movie amassing Record Collections in 350 Centers and no where did producers affirm of film being ran for 50 days in that many number of theatres. If such is the case, one might question as why are makers diverting the attention on collections when the poster is actually meant to officially announce their half century. Any how, ‘businessman’ although reaching 50 days mark still successfully continues to give shocks to audience and trade pundits with its variety of proof-less records.

I may not be suitable for Politics – Nag

Share

This is revealed by none other than the star-hero at an event here today. Akkineni Nagarjuna has given indications that he will strike the chord sooner if he feels he is fit for politics.

From a long time, it is believed that Nagarjuna will enter the politics at some point of time. Today, the senior hero revealed that he has an interest in politics but don’t know if he fits the bill. ‘Still I have to take decision to enter politics or not, though the current state politics are interesting me a lot. Let me first decide whether i’m suitable to them or not’, an excited Nagarjuna stated.

His closeness with the late CM YSR and his son Jagan may catapult him into YSR Congress party very soon, is the opinion of observers. On the other hand, Nag quoted that he is doing Saibaba flick for the sake of his fans. So, if fans pressurize him a bit, then they can see their favorite star in white khaddar very soon!
