Megastar, Natasimha’s race for milestones

Tollywood is all set to witness sensational race for milestones between Megastar Chiranjeevi and Natasimha Balakrishna. While there is lot of speculation on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film since long time, recently media is also keeping a keen watch on Natasimha Balakrishna’s 100th film. Now there is heavy betting on who will win this milestone race of the century. Megastar Chiranjeevi could have reached his 150th milestone long time back in 2009 itself before he decided to launch a political party and take plunge in active politics.

Many film makers and directors came to him with fascinating subjects. However his thirst for power forced him to bid good bye to films without completing his mega milestone. Every now and then faced with the pressure from fans, Chiru sometimes seems to be speaking about his 150th film but many feel that he is not keen on winning the race as he has become an MP representing Congress in Rajya Saba. Chiru feels that CM post is up for grabs and he is the CM in waiting.

On the otherside Balakrishna who is eying a full fledged political battle in 2014 assembly elections plan to sign off in style by scoring a century. He is currently doing his 97th film ‘Srimannarayana’ and the buzz is he has already finalised scripts and directors for his next three films. It is only a mattter of time before he completes his century and take on his bitter rival Megastar Chiranjeevi in political battle field. There also it is an interesting fight as who will emerge winners and reach victory milestone.

Jagan a pigmy compared to Sonia

While as far as State of Andhra Pradesh and the political leaders are talking about late YSR, former CM and his son Jagan’s corruption charges and the volumes of corruption quoting some or the other figures, many across the country feel that he is a pigmy compared to UPA chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. TDP chief Chandra Babu and local Congress leaders say that Jagan looted public money worth thousands of crores but Subramanya Swamy who fought against UPA Govt and influential in making Raja and Kanimozhi go to jail in 2G scam says corruption of Jagan is nothing compared to the money swindled by Sonia in various scams.

Many people say , Sonia’s two sisters, Anushka and Nadia, had received sixty percent of the kickbacks in this deal i.e. Rs.18,000 crores each. The frequent travel of Sonia Gandhi and her immediate family to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Dubai and parts of Europe including London requires to be probed under the law. They even allege that her son in law Robert Vadra also received crores of money in 2G scam and even in many scams he got kickbacks using which he became a top business magnate.

This shows that nothing will come out of all the CBI inquiry and it is only a tool to gain political mileage and teach opponents a lesson.

Sai behind Puri’s flop

Sibling rivalry is new thing and is most common in the present generation. However things were different in the past and their bonhomie could be watched on tollywood silver screen also. Many hero, heroines worked for the success of their siblings and always strove for the bright future of their siblings. Ace director Puri Jagannath is also trying his best to help out his brother Sai Ram Shankar who has been desperate to find a success story. Sai seems to be on right track with already two films in his kitty Yamaho Yama and Mr Rome. He recently signed two more on Sri Productions banner. In one of the film he is turning ‘Raithu’ under Teja’s direction.

Puri is concentrating so much on putting his brother Sai on success track that he completely lost focus on Mass Raja Raviteja starrer ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ which turned out to be a disaster. This was unlike Puri of old who scored a sensational hit ‘Business Man’ at the start of the year casting Prince Mahesh Babu. All this shows Puri is clearly out of focus on his films and his concentration is on his brother Sai. This may prove detrimental for his next film with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Pawan is banking on Puri after his ‘Gabbar Singh’ grand success and if ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ fail to click then it will be curtains for Puri. Many feel that Puri should not be too obsessed with the flops of his brother Sai Ram Shankar else he will soon be facing similar flops as was proven by ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ disaster.

‘Gabbar Singh’ setting ‘Basanthi’

It seems Guinness record holder Brahmanandam after working as assistant for ‘Gabbar Singh’ Power Star Pawan Kalyan is gaining confidence that he can set beautiful ‘Basanthi’ for his son Gautam. It is known that Brahmanandam wanted to see his son as a top hero unlike see him settle as a comedian replacing or carrying his comedian legacy in tollywood. He launched him with much fanfare with ‘Pallakilo Pellikuturu’ but Gautam failed to make any impact on movie lovers. Later he came saying ‘Vareva’ but viewers ran away from him scared of his antics and did not even say vareva. Now he is turning ‘Basanti’ under Dantuloori Chaitanya, who earlier who directed critically acclaimed film “Baanam”. Brahmi hopes that at least this award winning director will emerge successful in grooming Gautam and presenting him in a perfect format in front of movie lovers placing him on a success platform. However if he fails in his mission, then it will be curtains for his son Gautam and all the dreams of Brahmanandam will be dashed.

However many feel that though there is nothing wrong in Brahmanandam trying to make his son as a hero, he should after two to three films analyse the strong and weak points of his son and if he is not successful as hero he can try to cast him as a comedian. Brahmi should now his strength as a comedian and he can groom his son Gautam accordingly. Hope dad and son duo hears and act proactively.

Time running out for Tarak

Tarak is an enigma in Tollywood. Hailing from high profile legendary family from Tollywood Nandamuris, he had a dream debut signing seven films simultaneously creating a sensation and at the same time sending down shivers down the spines of other heroes. However except for his debut film ‘Okato Number Kurradu’ which hit the screens, all others never went to sets as the debut film proved to be a disaster. He never hit the success track and even when he made a grand announcement to address him as NTR, after his legendary ‘Grand Father’, on the eve of his film ‘Nadeeswarudu’ release, did not save it from bombing at the box office.

However it seems he is having a feeling of watching the twilight a the end of the tunnel as he is again on a signing free. He is having ‘Daya’, ‘Mike Testing 143’ and ‘Vijetha’ is coming with another romantic entertainer ‘Choodalani..Cheppalani’. On Tarak’s debut many felt that he will be a true competitor for Young Tiger NTR but soon all that hype fizzled out soon as Tarak proved to be a thorough amateur compared to the professionalism of NTR. Time is running out fast for Tarak and if he don’t hit the success track soon it will be end of the tunnel for Tarak.

Tollywood Bungalows to block Bollywood Heroes

New trend is being noticed in Bollywood and many movie lovers of north are surprised by the sudden change in Bollywood film makers. Already they are remaking hit Tollywood and Kollywood films to give their desperate stars a decent hit. However to the shock of all, all those films rminted money of more than Rs 100 crs.However now South Indian Stars are now planning to show their power to bollywood rather than allow their films to be remade by bollywood stars and pocket some hits in their kitty.

South Stars especially from Tollywood, Ram Charan Teja and Rana are planning to their strength. While Rana already showed his macho muscle power in ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and ‘Department’, Ram Charan is all set to make powerful entry with remake of ‘Zanjeer’ to become genex angry young man. Rana who in many of his interviews said that in Bollywood he gets more scope to show his acting talent, is planning to explore new avenues making Mumbai as his base. Buzz is he has been trying for posh bungalow in high profile areas like Juhu and Bandra where all bollywood stars are put up.

Even Mega Power Star Ram Charan Teja who enjoys close relationship with Salman Khan has already finalised three bungalows in Bandra area courtesy Sallu Miya and is waiting for a green signal from his wife Upasana. Upasana is considering all options as she is also planning to expand her Apollo Hospital operations in Mumbai. Now it has to be seen how insecure bollywood heroes feel about tollywood bungalows.

Mega Power Star Ram Charan is damn serious to create a long lasting impact in Bollywood with his first movie Zanjeer. The shooting of the movie is progressing at brisk pace. The young actor is now reportedly looking at setting up a base to Mumbai. This shows that Charan is very serious about his Bollywood career.

Reports indicate that Charan is considering a few extremely posh properties in the Bandra area, close to Salman Khan’s house. Salman is a good friend of Megastar Chiranjeevi and he has been watching out for Charan in Bollywood. Upasana is also keen on expanding the presence of Apollo Hospital in Mumbai.

Naga Chaitanya’s Autonagar Suriya pushed to November

Naga Chaitanya’s career is in doldrums as his last two movies Dhada and Bejawada were duds. He is desperately looking for a hit. But things were not looking favourable for him. The shooting of his current project ‘Autonagar Suriya’ has delayed too much due to bad financial position of RR Movie makers and illness of Samantha. And now the makers have decided to postpone the movie release till November.

The movie shooting is complete except for a song and 3 days talkie part which will be completed in a schedule beginning today. The movie will hit the screens on November 12th. Akkineni fans can take solace in the fact that Nagarjuna will have to releases before ANS in the form of Shirdi Sai and Damarukham in September and October.

Ravi Teja’s Daruvu as Bullet Raja in Tamil

Ravi Teja’s Daruvu might have been a disaster in Telugu but the movie is all set to release in Tamil as Bullet Raja. Directed by Siva (of Siruthai fame), the film has Tapsee in the female lead. The movie is titled ‘Bullet Raja’ in Tamil.

A source says, “The film is about Ravi Teja, who falls in love with Taapsee, the fiancee of a gangster. In a different twist, Ravi Teja dies and meets Yama, who decided to help him out! Prabhu’s performance as Yama and Vijay Antony’s scores will be some of the highlights of the film.”

Ajith works free for Sri Devi

It is known to our readers that Tamil Super Star Ajith is doing a cameo in Sridevi’s English Vinglish and he had to fly to Mumbai for the shoot. According to Boney Kapoor, the actor made all arrangements for travel and stay by himself and spent his personal money. It seems he refused to take any money from them for the expenses and acted in the movie for free as well.

The Eternal beauty was apparently amazed how such a big star was so simple and even worked for free and took care of his expenses himself. He was heard saying that Ajith is a wonderful human being and a fine actor.

Tamannah irritated with first film producer’s claims

Our readers are aware that there has been a cheating case filed on Tamannah recently by her first Bollywood producer who launched her to a Big screen with Chand Se Roshan (2003). Salim Akthar, the producer had alleged that the actress hasn’t honoured her contract with him that requires her to shell out 25% of her earnings for five years to the producer.. The actress’ father, Bhatia, has come to the rescue of her daughter.

“Salim’s claims are totally fraudulent and illegal. He is just being opportunistic and trying to cash in on Tamannaah’s popularity,” says Bhatia.

“She did a film with him when she was just 13-14 years and when we did that, there was an agreement signed (of which we have a copy) that did not mention any revenue sharing. Salim already brought up this issue three years ago and we replied to him, but he didn’t get back to us,” informs the father.

Bunny excited with Iddarammayilatho

Our readers are aware that stylish star Allu Arjun will be teaming up with director Puri Jagannath in his next film titled Iddarammayila Tho. the director had reportedly given the narration of the final script to Bunny and the actor is all kicked up about the script and can’t wait for the shoot to begin.

Iddarammayila Tho movie would formally go on the floors from September 20. Bandla Ganesh Babu would be producing the film under Parameswara Arts and Devi Sri Prasad would be composing the music.

As the title suggests, the film has two heroines. Tapsee is the only one confirmed so far. Also, this would be the first time Allu Arjun romancing with two heroines since all his earlier films have only one female lead.

Babies left to die for vote banks

Any person will be moved with tears hearing ever increasing death of babies at Tirupati Ruia hospital which pierces any human. However politicians are unmoved as they are not vote banks. CM Kiran Kumar is busy with his own Indiramma Bata and he never cared to speak a soothing word about death of babies or ordered an inquiry into the matter. All Free Babu of TDP is so engrossed in grabbing power at any cost that he did not care to listen to the cries of mothers who lost their babies. BJP, CPM and CPI are busy with their pada yatras and the left over TRS is so busy dividing people on regional basis spitting venom chose not to respond. All credit for its firebrand leader Vijayashanti who divided even babies and played regional politics with dead bodies of babies at Nilofer hospital. One wonder where she is hiding her face at present.

Even some enthusiastic media personnel reported that babies death at Ruia hospital is exaggerated in various channels and print media and it was not as it was hyped. This shows that politicians are interested only in power politics and not interested in providing better facilities for poor and needy people. In the midst of all this many are searching for Megastar who was not to be seen. Many felt he must have forgotten his super hero roles where he took on entire political system and law authorities to save the lives of the poor.

T-Conspiracy in Telangana itself

Till now telangana agitators who are fighting for the formation of Telangana State used to accuse that the people of telangana region were robbed of their rights by seemandhra region. They accused them of backstabbing innocent telangana people and cite Nerhu’s speech in support of their argument. Politicians hailing from the region and NGO leaders accused seemandhra people and leaders hailing from the region of superseding and infringing on their fundamental rights. Their speeches used to vitate the atmosphere spitting venom in the minds of innocent people. However more recently Osmania Univ Professor Kodandaram, found out after doing a research that more than seemandhra leaders, it is the leaders hailing from Telangana region who deceived the region with their penchant for power and political,monetary gains.

Many local people felt in the same way that even the moment of mass agitation or Sakala Janula Samme was also back stabbed by power hungry politicians from the same region. Now it has to be seen what form the movement for telangana takes and in what way fighters for the separate state fight. Already there are accusations that KCR is keeping quiet as he got some luxurious benefits from the Congress High Command and Sonia Gandhi and that was the reason why he is training his guns not on Congress but on hapless Babu of TDP. Already the role of Gaddar and other popular leaders are minimised by powerful politicians who are interested in stalling the formation of telangana.

Political parties and people of Andhra Pradesh may never recognise the great deeds of TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu and they even go hammer and tongs criticising him for his illogical claims on various schemes implemented by Govt. Some even make fun of him calling him ‘All Free’ Babu. However he created a record for being the longest ever serving CM of Andhra Pradesh. YSR who could have broke the record lost his life in a tragic air crash. Some say the even as opposition leader he created record of sorts as longest ever opposition leader and make fun of him that his record may be extended for another five more years.

When Babu was CM, TDP leaders used to leak to media that US President even in senate spoke for hours about Chandra Babu’s role. However now without the help of leaks CBN is creating world records to the surprise of all. On Rakhi Pornami he sported 66 ft long rakhi and created record. If this is not enough on Independence Day he created another records by designing 3.3km long National Flag. CBN even felicitated all those who played key role in designing National Flag in party office at NTR bhavan. TDP leaders who are keen on trying to impress Babu are seen requesting their friends and relatives and known people for ideas to create new Guinness records.

Nannapaneni Rajakumari is ‘Political Queen’

Powerful politician Nannapaneni Rajakumari seems to be enjoying royal status in Andhra Pradesh politics. All leaders cutting across political lines appreciate and adore her and treat her as the Queen. This is truly an achievement for her as the state is renowned for bitter politics and witch hunting. She has the sole distinction of holding the top posts in Congress as well as TDP parties. She worked as Congress Party’s Chief Whip, first woman to do so. She later went on to become the TDP’s telugu mahila president, the party’s women wing. As such both TDP and Congress party leaders treat her as their own leader.

Recently party leaders were surprised when she appeared in front of TVs present at CLP premises after attending the meeting of Assembly Committee. Media expected some surprising and shocking announcements from Nannapaneni Rajakumari. However she just informed them about the the minutes of meeting in Assembly Committee on RTC status. A senior Congress leader who witnessed all this drama questioned media as to why they are expecting some sensations from her if she comes and addresses them at CLP premises. He said she had been in Congress party for more than five years and said that they never considered her as the TDP leader shocking all the media personnel.

Multi Starrers for 100 days?

In the olden days Tollywood has seen golden classics and super hits from top heroes starring in multi starrers. However later the trend changed and with increasing egos between stars spurred by their die hard fans multi starrers died an untimely death. Gone are the days where people can enjoy NTR-ANR acting in ‘Missamma’, ‘Gundamma Kadha’ or ‘Sri Krishnarjuna Yudham’ and many more. In between they were separated due to differences but again started acting in ‘Chanakya Chandragupta’, ‘RamaKirsnulu’ and many more films. Same is the case with NTR,Krishna, ANR, Krishnam Raju, Chiranjeevi, Sobhan Babu and many others.

Once the generation passed on to Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh multistarrers disappeared as fans became more demanding and even suggesting changes in scripts not according to the story but according to their favorite hero. This resulted in film makers fearing for their lives and stopped thinking of multi starrers though Nagarjuna and Balakrishna many times expressed their wish to star in the remake of Gundamma Kadha. Their era is now nearing the end and even now Naga Chaitanya and Jr NTR have expressed their desire to star in the remake of Gundamma Kadha.

Now film makers are changing their style and with Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu teaming up for ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, Naga Chaitanya and Sunil for another film, Venkatesh and Srikanth starring in ‘Shadow’, Vikram and Jagapathy Babu in ‘Siva Tandavam’, movie lovers feel that golden days are sure to come again in tollywood. Some analysts feel that since it is becoming extremely difficult for single starrers to cross even 50 days, film makers are planning for multi starrers in their hope that at least one or the other heroes fans will help in the film successfully completing 100 days.

Dhanush becomes a brand post Kolaveri fame

Super Star Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush had become a hot property among advertisers, post the Kolaveri phenomenon. Even though, the movie ‘3’ failed miserably, the star had gained enough from it. The star recently shot for a car advertisement on the streets of Mumbai and has done a Kolaveri-style video for it.

Just like he did in the viral video, the advertisement also has him crooning a number and featuring in the ad as well. The words used in the song are also much like the ones used in the Kolaveri number that he recorded with music composer Anirudh for the film ‘3’.

Tamannah’s Bollywood movie in RFC

Milky Beauty Tamannaah’s latest Bollywood venture “Himmatwala” will commence shooting in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad from August 19. The film’s Art director Sabu Siril has erected a special set in the studio, in which the unit would film crucial scenes and a song on Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah in this schedule.

The film is a remake of the yesteryear super hit ‘Himmatwala’ which featured Jeetendra and Sridevi. ‘Himmatwala’ itself was a remake of a Telugu film ‘Ooriki Monagadu (1981) starring Krishna and Jayaprada, directed by K Raghavendra Rao. This latest version is directed by Sajid Khan and jointly produced by Vasu Bhagnani and UTV. The unit has recently released the film’s first look posters, which got good response from the audience.

Aamir Khan to go to Mecca

Aamir Khan who is currently shooting for his upcoming movie Talaash in US, will be wrapping up his shooting schedule there very soon and take his mother Zeenat Hussain for Hajj. Aamir is extremely close to his mother and has become even more protective of her after the death of his father Tahir Hussain in February 2010.

He recently asked her if he could get her a gift and she expressed her desire to go on a pilgrimage. Since women can only go to Hajj accompanied either by their husband, brother or son, Aamir has promised his mother that he will make the trip to Mecca with her. Extremely sentimental about the promise he has made to his mum, Khan refrained from comment.

He even got his mother to shift from Pune to Mumbai, in an apartment in the same building as his. And the actor actually spends more time in his mum’s house than he does in his own.
