Many political analysts and even leaders from congress party expressed surprise when Damodar Rajanarasimha was made Dy CM post. Many felt he will be the rubber stamp with no power or authority what so ever available. However much to the surprise of all he using his telangana background quickly started showing his power stamping his authority on day to day functioning of the govt. He even started functioning not hand in hand but parallel to CM Kiran signifying his rivalry to all. He never showed his ambitions of becoming CM but many feel he is working to achieve his goal and is chanelising all his energies to fulfill his ambition soon.

He is developing close relationships and contacts with Congress High Command at center and made many visits to Delhi marketing his leadership qualities and trying to get proactive image in the eyes of High command which is not at all satisfied with the performance of CM Kiran. Unilke PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana and MegaStar Chiranjeevi who expressed his desire of becoming CM in media interactions, Damodar is playing his cleverly and close to his chest.

Many feel with his calm and cool nature he is fast emerging as the dark horse for the CM post in volatile and fluid political situation in Andhra Pradesh state. So one need not be surprised on any development in favor of Damodar.

Comgress Party’s and its Govt’s dual standards are exposed in broad day light while dealing with the protests of various political parties on increase in power tariffs and double increase in power cuts. The main opposition party TDP has been going hammer and tongs on power issue that is the burning topic in the state to derive full political mileage out of it. Its legislators even went right into CM’s office and sat on dharna and even when police entered they escaped from them. Its firebrand leader Nannapaneni Rajakumari even went up to the terrace and tried to jump from there to attract media attention. When all this happened,the police and the Govt remained mute spectators with out taking any action.

However when TRS tried to stage protests on the same issue its leaders are arrested and were not even allowed to stage a peaceful march. TRS leaders especially Harish Rao fumed at Congress Govt for its double standards and even questioned why TDP is treated in a honorable manner even when they broke law and order and why TRS is thrashed when it did not cause any problem. He even said that it showed the nexus of TDP and Cong and even its apathy towards people of telangana. He ven questioned why its minister Danam Nagender who abused top police brass and MIM leaders who assaulted police were spared.

Ever since NDTV started screening its opinion poll on finding the mood of the nation in the run up for next general elections in 2014, those who are getting positive findings started hailing the channel while those who are getting negative feedback started blasting the channel. While opinion polls need not be taken seriously some parties take it seriously and conduct their own internal surveys so that they can rework on their strategies.

However opposition party TDP and ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh instead of doing the same started blasting NDTV and its chief Prannoy Roy for his survey predicting Jagan emerging fore runner in the run up. TDP even went ahead and demanded apology or else warned to go to court. These parties bone of contention is NTDV has business understanding with Jagan’s media Sakshi and even trained its employees. They allege that as such the survey can not be impartial. He even demanded Prannoy Roy should comeout in open and reveal how much he received from Jagan, whether 20crs or 30crs. Parties even alleged that Jagan is managing even local news channels funding them and helping them in their operations.

While that was TDP’s contention, Congress says Jagan is managing media with his surveys and is playing mind games sending signals that since he is sweeping polls, if his cases are diluted he will be supporting them after next elections.

Women across the world have been making rapid progress conquering new horizons day by day. They entered into armed forces, skyrocketed into the space and what not. So when they become law makers in various countries it is not a surprise. However many feel that Andhra Pradesh lacks Lady fire power. One look at Country’s political scenario except for a few not many entered politics and emerged successful. Indira Gandhi inherited leadership qualities and she stamped her authority in style. The same can not be said of Rabri Devi who used to be the rubber stamp CM and same is the case of Mayawathi who has been for long under the wings of Kanshiram. However after Kanshiram’s demise she showed her power. However both used their authority and political power for personal benefits. Mamata Bannerjee has been in Cong fold for years and unable to bear the suppression turned tigress and became CM of Bengal. She using her power and influence shifted all the projects to Bengal for the benefit of the poor. Same can be said of Jayalalitha, though used power for personal means, did beneficial things for the poor. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi wouldn’t have entered politics had not been the sad demise of Rajiv Gandhi. From then on she enjoyed immense clout thanks to impotent Congress leaders. However she used her power for her personal benefits and greed.

Though Country has seen so many lady bosses except for Mamatha and Jayalalitha others used power for selfish ends. Coming to Andhra Pradesh the powerful Reddy, Naidu and Kamma lobby never allowed ladies to come up politically. Though we have firebrands like Vijayashanti, Vijayamma, Sharmila, Roja, Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Gangabhavani to name a few, all are answerable and accountable to their political bosses and anytime they can be shown the door. Purandreswari became minister at Union Govt but did little for Andhra Pradesh. All this shows that AP lacks Lady fire power who can work for the benefit of the poor.

When people face any problem or threat to their lives or when there is any law and order problems everyone look up to Police force to bring the situation under control and maintain peace in each and every part of the country. However Police force including the top brass in the state of Andhra Pradesh has become so helpless and fearful that they themselves are seeking protection from law breakers.

Fear gripped entire police force with incidents of MLA and Minister Danam Nagender behaving in a high handed manner taking law into his hands and locking popular temple at the heart of Hyderabad. As if this was not enough he even abused SI Ramesh who was just doing his duty. Though complaint has been registered nothing happened in his case. Similar is the case of fire brand MLA of TRS, Harish Rao who hurled foul language on DCP Stephen Ravindra and even kicked constable who fell down while vacating the place filled with mob protesting rise in electricity charges at Vidyut Sowdha.

These incidents are sending shivers down the spines of top police bosses and they quickly organized a meeting seeking immunity against these attacks. Unlike earlier when they used to pass a resolution seeking action against wrong doers, this time they went ahead and warned saying if these law breakers are not reigned in, they will be forced to use force and teach them a lesson.

Recently popular national channel NDTV conducted a poll survey to find out the mood of the nation. In the nation wide poll the survey found out that if mid term polls are conducted now, UPA led by Congress will be booted out of power in Centre as well as in State. Particularly in Andhra Pradesh, survey predicted Congress will bag around 9 MP seats compared to its present tally of 33 while TRS predicted to bag 10 seats. YSRCP is all set to sweep polls winning 21 MP seats. What has baffled the TDP supremo Chandrababu is that it drew blank in the survey.

From then on Chandra Babu and his party leaders started alleging that NDTV chief Prannoy Roy received whopping amounts from YSRCP and did predictions in its favor. This surprised many political leaders and poll analysts as surveys are part and parcel of the game and there are 50-50 chances of surveys becoming true. But TDP and Babu is unable to digest the hard reality and conveniently forgetting the fact that it was routed out in all byelections in the State. Instead of setting his house in order and getting his strategies right Babu is living in Fools Paradise throwing stones at others living in a glass house.
