Life is Beautiful Release date

Sekhar Kammula’s much awaited film Life is Beautiful is all set to hit the screens on September 13th. The movie is touted to be a clean entertainer and the entire story is set in a colony and has the feel of Shekar Kammula’s super hit movie Happy Days.
The film narrates the story of six youngsters who share their friendships, joys and sorrows as they grow up in this colony. Abijeet, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun, Zara, Rashmi, Kavya, Naveen, Vijay, Sanjeev and Sriram are playing the lead roles in the film. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music and Vijay C Kumar is the cinematographer.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali to produce a movie based on Mary Kom’s life
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next production will be a film based on the life of Olympic medal winner, boxer MC Mary Kom. Art director Omung Kumar who worked with Bhansali on Black and Saawariya will wield megaphone for this film. Omung had reportedl got the required permission from Mary. The movie script was actually inspired by Mary’s life and Omung was in awe of her much before she went for the Olympics, rather than it being an afterthought following her victory.
The movie is going to be the tale of a mother of two, has been through so much struggle, has tremendous spirit and a sense of living and dignity and is now a World Champion. This movie will go on floors at year-end or early next year and the casting is undecided

RGV’s Satya sequel in trouble

It is known to our readers that Ram Gopal Varma is planning to make a sequel to his super hit movie, Satya. But the plans are badly hampered due to the maverick director’s fight with the producer of the original Satya, Bharat Shah, the diamond merchant-cum-financier who once funded RGV’s movies.
Apparently, Shah had paid Rs 10 crore to RGV. The amount has doubled to over Rs 20 crore — with interest -— over the years. He says he hasn’t recovered the money after the release of the films Bharat bhai had invested in. So he’s pursuing the matter legally against RGV.”
Subject to this dispute, RGV can’t make a sequel without a go-ahead from Bharat bhai. And considering their legal dispute, it’s going to be difficult to obtain permission from the financier-producer.

Tamannah’s Himmatwala muhurath to be streamed live

The muhurath of Milky beauty Tamannaah’s much-hyped Bollywood flick, Himmatwala, is all set to go live on YouTube. Yes, the audience can catch the action live in the comfort of their own home now on August 22! This is the first time that Youtube is being used by anyone in India for such an event. The event will be held coming Wednesday at 1 pm, at the iconic Ramoji Studios in Hyderabad.
The movie is the remake of the 1983 Jeetendra-Sridevi starrer Himmatwalla, In fact, the 1983 film itself is the remake of our own Telugu film Ooriki Monagadu of 1981 also directed by K. Raghavendra Rao starring Krishna and Jaya Prada.

Amala Paul replaces Kajal in Subhalekha Rasukunna song in Naayak

It is known that Kajal Agarwal and Amala Paul are playing the female leads in Ram Charan’s Naayak and also the famous chart buster number Subhalekha Rasukunna. . from Chiru’s Kondaveeti Donga is being remixed in the movie. The song was originally planned for Ram Charan and Kajal in Naayak but now has ended up on Amala’s lap.
The unit members are saying after seeing the rushes shot so far, director VV Vinayak is excited about the new pairing of Charan and Amala and are casting them in this song.
Also Kajal whose dates are in a big mess could not allot dates after the unit made all arrangements in some virgin locations of Iceland, for the song shoot. Amala reportedly is going to do an ultra-glam act in the song.

Shriya Saran’s sword fight

Besides being generous towards shredding clothes, Sexy Siren Shriya Saran is all set to show the other side of her. Playing the role of a princess, she is going to wield Sword for her forthcoming Tamil-Kannada bilingual Chandra, will vouch for the same. The actress had to perform a Kalari fight sequence for the film.
She wrote on her Twitter page, “Shot for a Kalari (fight sequence) at a beautiful temple, bare foot! Those swords are heavy and painful. I wonder how those fighters won battles and conquered kingdoms!”
The fight was shot near a monument in Nandi Gram in Bangalore for over two days. This scene comes at a juncture when Shriya, who plays a princess, signals Prem, a master in Kalaripayattu, for a duel. It’s more romantic than aggressive.

TTD trust which is constituted to take care of the activities of Tirumala Temple and maintain its sanctity is completely failing in its mission due to the politics involved in the board. The moment politicians become the Chairman of the trust, it is natural that politics will be played at each and every level of its operations. During YSR’s regime a move was made to restrict temple vicinity and sanctity to only two hills and making other 5 hills accessible to all religions and all operations. This is like opening door and according red carpet welcome to illegal activities.
However the Govt backed off after facing lot of criticism and opposition from all quarters. More recently an agent was caught selling five VIP darshan tickets for 13000Rs. Many allege that all this is happening in connivance of the board members as nothing will happen without their knowledge. Many times devotees noticed similar rackets in distribution of prasads and laddoos. When its own employee was caught indulging in preaching Christianity and influencing people to convert and embrace the religion, no action was taken and the matter was hushed up just by transferring the erring employee to Tirupathi.
They just said that from now on they would make all devotees to sign a form expressing their belief in Hindu religion. One wonder how come mere declaration of belief will put a stop to conversions or canvassing of other religions in temple premises. Many feel that just like in ‘Mecca’ where non believers are not allowed people from other religions should be banned from entering Tirumala. In Mecca all those who enter will be forced to have ‘beef’ with Khalif himself putting each piece in the mouths of devotees. In that way other religious people once they have that beef they will be treated as embraced to Islam. But similar measures can’t be expected from the so called ‘secularists’ ruling our country.

Young Tiger NTR has immense fan following cutting across all age groups but however he and the tollywood film makers think his strength is mass viewers and are making films targeting only mass viewers. His recent films Oosaravelli and Dammu attempted to impress mass viewers but failed miserably in their mission. Many movie lovers get a feeling that Young Tiger NTR is losing his market and popularity by concentrating only on masses neglecting family viewers and children. They reason out that any liked his films ‘Adurs’, ‘Brindavanam’ and ‘Yamadonga’ along with kids due to the healthy comedy. But he is now alienating them completely in his hot pursuit for mass image.
Analysts say he is fast going Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja way. Masses loved his antics and spontaneous dialogues but when it became monotonous they started rejecting him. Performances of his last three or four films like ”Veera’,Nippu’, ‘daruvu’, ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ failed miserably at tollywood box office. His ardent fans and movie lovers suggest that it is better NTR see through these indications and try to entertain people from all age groups than stick on to one particular section of movie lovers to score a hit. Hope he learns from his mistakes and implement the changes in his upcoming film ‘Badshah’ to become Badshah of tollywood.

Tollywood is all set to witness sensational race for milestones between Megastar Chiranjeevi and Natasimha Balakrishna. While there is lot of speculation on Megastar Chiranjeevi’s 150th film since long time, recently media is also keeping a keen watch on Natasimha Balakrishna’s 100th film. Now there is heavy betting on who will win this milestone race of the century. Megastar Chiranjeevi could have reached his 150th milestone long time back in 2009 itself before he decided to launch a political party and take plunge in active politics.
Many film makers and directors came to him with fascinating subjects. However his thirst for power forced him to bid good bye to films without completing his mega milestone. Jagan a pigmy compared to Sonia

While as far as State of Andhra Pradesh and the political leaders are talking about late YSR, former CM and his son Jagan’s corruption charges and the volumes of corruption quoting some or the other figures, many across the country feel that he is a pigmy compared to UPA chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. TDP chief Chandra Babu and local Congress leaders say that Jagan looted public money worth thousands of crores but Subramanya Swamy who fought against UPA Govt and influential in making Raja and Kanimozhi go to jail in 2G scam says corruption of Jagan is nothing compared to the money swindled by Sonia in various scams.
Many people say , Sonia’s two sisters, Anushka and Nadia, had received sixty percent of the kickbacks in this deal i.e. Rs.18,000 crores each. The frequent travel of Sonia Gandhi and her immediate family to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Dubai and parts of Europe including London requires to be probed under the law. They even allege that her son in law Robert Vadra also received crores of money in 2G scam and even in many scams he got kickbacks using which he became a top business magnate.
This shows that nothing will come out of all the CBI inquiry and it is only a tool to gain political mileage and teach opponents a lesson.

Sibling rivalry is new thing and is most common in the present generation. However things were different in the past and their bonhomie could be watched on tollywood silver screen also. Many hero, heroines worked for the success of their siblings and always strove for the bright future of their siblings. Ace director Puri Jagannath is also trying his best to help out his brother Sai Ram Shankar who has been desperate to find a success story. Sai seems to be on right track with already two films in his kitty Yamaho Yama and Mr Rome. He recently signed two more on Sri Productions banner. In one of the film he is turning ‘Raithu’ under Teja’s direction.
Puri is concentrating so much on putting his brother Sai on success track that he completely lost focus on Mass Raja Raviteja starrer ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ which turned out to be a disaster. This was unlike Puri of old who scored a sensational hit ‘Business Man’ at the start of the year casting Prince Mahesh Babu. All this shows Puri is clearly out of focus on his films and his concentration is on his brother Sai. This may prove detrimental for his next film with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. Pawan is banking on Puri after his ‘Gabbar Singh’ grand success and if ‘Cameraman Gangato Rambabu’ fail to click then it will be curtains for Puri. Many feel that Puri should not be too obsessed with the flops of his brother Sai Ram Shankar else he will soon be facing similar flops as was proven by ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ disaster.

It seems Guinness record holder Brahmanandam after working as assistant for ‘Gabbar Singh’ Power Star Pawan Kalyan is gaining confidence that he can set beautiful ‘Basanthi’ for his son Gautam. It is known that Brahmanandam wanted to see his son as a top hero unlike see him settle as a comedian replacing or carrying his comedian legacy in tollywood. He launched him with much fanfare with ‘Pallakilo Pellikuturu’ but Gautam failed to make any impact on movie lovers. Later he came saying ‘Vareva’ but viewers ran away from him scared of his antics and did not even say vareva. Now he is turning ‘Basanti’ under Dantuloori Chaitanya, who earlier who directed critically acclaimed film “Baanam”. Brahmi hopes that at least this award winning director will emerge successful in grooming Gautam and presenting him in a perfect format in front of movie lovers placing him on a success platform. However if he fails in his mission, then it will be curtains for his son Gautam and all the dreams of Brahmanandam will be dashed.
However many feel that though there is nothing wrong in Brahmanandam trying to make his son as a hero, he should after two to three films analyse the strong and weak points of his son and if he is not successful as hero he can try to cast him as a comedian. Brahmi should now his strength as a comedian and he can groom his son Gautam accordingly. Hope dad and son duo hears and act proactively.

Tarak is an enigma in Tollywood. Hailing from high profile legendary family from Tollywood Nandamuris, he had a dream debut signing seven films simultaneously creating a sensation and at the same time sending down shivers down the spines of other heroes. However except for his debut film ‘Okato Number Kurradu’ which hit the screens, all others never went to sets as the debut film proved to be a disaster. He never hit the success track and even when he made a grand announcement to address him as NTR, after his legendary ‘Grand Father’, on the eve of his film ‘Nadeeswarudu’ release, did not save it from bombing at the box office.
However it seems he is having a feeling of watching the twilight a the end of the tunnel as he is again on a signing free. He is having ‘Daya’, ‘Mike Testing 143’ and ‘Vijetha’ is coming with another romantic entertainer ‘Choodalani..Cheppalani’. On Tarak’s debut many felt that he will be a true competitor for Young Tiger NTR but soon all that hype fizzled out soon as Tarak proved to be a thorough amateur compared to the professionalism of NTR. Time is running out fast for Tarak and if he don’t hit the success track soon it will be end of the tunnel for Tarak.

While Rana already showed his macho muscle power in ‘Dum Maro Dum’ and ‘Department’, Ram Charan is all set to make powerful entry with remake of ‘Zanjeer’ to become genex angry young man. Rana who in many of his interviews said that in Bollywood he gets more scope to show his acting talent, is planning to explore new avenues making Mumbai as his base. Buzz is he has been trying for posh bungalow in high profile areas like Juhu and Bandra where all bollywood stars are put up.

Naga Chaitanya’s Autonagar Suriya pushed to November

Naga Chaitanya’s career is in doldrums as his last two movies Dhada and Bejawada were duds. He is desperately looking for a hit. But things were not looking favourable for him. The shooting of his current project ‘Autonagar Suriya’ has delayed too much due to bad financial position of RR Movie makers and illness of Samantha. And now the makers have decided to postpone the movie release till November.
The movie shooting is complete except for a song and 3 days talkie part which will be completed in a schedule beginning today. The movie will hit the screens on November 12th. Akkineni fans can take solace in the fact that Nagarjuna will have to releases before ANS in the form of Shirdi Sai and Damarukham in September and October.

Ravi Teja’s Daruvu as Bullet Raja in Tamil

Ravi Teja’s Daruvu might have been a disaster in Telugu but the movie is all set to release in Tamil as Bullet Raja. Directed by Siva (of Siruthai fame), the film has Tapsee in the female lead. The movie is titled ‘Bullet Raja’ in Tamil.
A source says, “The film is about Ravi Teja, who falls in love with Taapsee, the fiancee of a gangster. In a different twist, Ravi Teja dies and meets Yama, who decided to help him out! Prabhu’s performance as Yama and Vijay Antony’s scores will be some of the highlights of the film.”

Ajith works free for Sri Devi

It is known to our readers that Tamil Super Star Ajith is doing a cameo in Sridevi’s English Vinglish and he had to fly to Mumbai for the shoot. According to Boney Kapoor, the actor made all arrangements for travel and stay by himself and spent his personal money. It seems he refused to take any money from them for the expenses and acted in the movie for free as well.
The Eternal beauty was apparently amazed how such a big star was so simple and even worked for free and took care of his expenses himself. He was heard saying that Ajith is a wonderful human being and a fine actor.

Tamannah irritated with first film producer’s claims

Our readers are aware that there has been a cheating case filed on Tamannah recently by her first Bollywood producer who launched her to a Big screen with Chand Se Roshan (2003). Salim Akthar, the producer had alleged that the actress hasn’t honoured her contract with him that requires her to shell out 25% of her earnings for five years to the producer.. The actress’ father, Bhatia, has come to the rescue of her daughter.
“Salim’s claims are totally fraudulent and illegal. He is just being opportunistic and trying to cash in on Tamannaah’s popularity,” says Bhatia.
“She did a film with him when she was just 13-14 years and when we did that, there was an agreement signed (of which we have a copy) that did not mention any revenue sharing. Salim already brought up this issue three years ago and we replied to him, but he didn’t get back to us,” informs the father.
