Our readers are well aware that Puri Jagannath had roped in British model and actress, Scarlett Wilson for an item song in Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie, Cameraman Ganagatho Rambabu. The shooting of the song was wrapped up yesterday in Saradhi studios. The song composed by Mani Sharma is set to be a highlight of the film. Puri had gifted a Iphone 4S to Scarlett Wilson on the last day shoot.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu is reportedly a sattire on media. The movie is produced by DVV Danayya under Universal media banner. Mani Sharma is the music director.

The new service tax regime introduced by the Government which came in to effect from 1st of July had hit hard the film stars and other technicians across the country. According to this new regime, 12% Service tax will be levied on all the services except 38 activities put on negative list.

And now the actors will have to pay 12 percentage service tax along with 30 percentage Income tax.

Filmmakers from across industries, including Sanjay Dutt and Mukesh Bhatt, have been discussing with Suresh Babu, the President of Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce on what to do next.

Movie Artists’ Association is planning to give a representation to the Government to reduce the tax below 5%. They are even planning to go on a national bandh, if necessary.

Naan Ee has created tremendous buzz in Tamilnadu.Thanks to some innovative promotional activities along with the regular promotion. Here are some of those.

1. The makers had heavily advertised on Puthiya Thalaimurai (SRM group) TV channel. It is the number one channel among the upcoming TV channels and it worked big time for the movie.

2. The makers have printed 1.3 millions tickets containing Naan Ee for Tamilnadu transport corporation limited. These tickets had fetched excellent visibility for a reasonable cost using this technique.

3. 10,000 pieces of school kids merchandise (scale, bookmark, year planner and book labels) were distibuted to students of 35 schools (5 schools each in 7 cities) and distributed it to students.

4. PVP cinemas, the makers of Naan Ee is the major sponsor for the an yearly theater festival for kids that is organized by ‘The Little Theater’ (20 years old) which is very popular among the kids.

5. The makers are planning to send 6 crores of sms on 5,6 and 7 of July. It will contain a few jokes between two characters – Bindu (played by Samantha) and Pootu Kovindam (Santhanam). A promotional message about Naan Ee will be carried after the joke.

6. The makers have also heavily advertised on Arasu Cable which is owned by Government. It has a basket of 95 channels.

The syndicates and monopoly in Telugu film distribution is always a open secret. Actor Siddharth who recently co-produced ‘Love Failure on Etaki Entertainments banner had suffered a lot to release the movie. Finally released it through Bellamkond Suresh. The actor feels that small producers are being robbed of opportunities of free trade due to this syndicates.

Siddharth tweeted, “We grew up at a time when 4-5 films released together and if they were good, they did well. Today, big films release alone. Power talks! Every rule of the free market is being violated in film distribution today.This encourages bad cinema as it becomes financially justifiable. We have more screens in India today per sq. km than ever before, and yet 100s of films are doomed to never release because of the politics! Everytime I meet a filmmaker with a completed film lying unreleased,it breaks my heart. The system is harshest on the most talented.Strange!”

Manchu Vishnu’s Magnum opus mythological movie, Raavana is growing bigger and bigger. The movie reportedly have some mind-blowing action sequences which will be composed by Chinese stunt masters. Vishnu is leaving to China to rope in technical talent for the film, to be directed by K Raghavendra Rao.

Ravana is a retelling of the Epic from Ravana’s view point and Vishnu Manchu is producing the film under his 24 Frames Entertainment banner. The story and screenplay is being penned by Bharavi and the film has few special erected.

Actress Ileana D’Cruz is set to don the garb of a taxi driver in Puri Jagannadh’s new Telugu film ” Devudu Chesina Manushulu” and the director promises to present her in a completely different avatar. “I’ve worked a number of times with Ileana. She will be seen in a completely different avatar in my new film. The title ‘ Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ is tentative. We may soon change it,” said Puri Jagannadh.

According to the sources, this would be the actress’ sexiest role ever. “Ileana plays the sexiest role of her career in the film. The image of the sober, sedate and shy girl goes out of the window. She has been re-invented in this role,” said a source close to the project, which also features Southern superstar Ravi Teja. Meanwhile, Ileana is looking forward to the release of debut Bollywood movie “Barfi!” with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Veteran superstars have been working with certain set of heroines that doesn’t look odd opposite them. Even young lot of heroines has decided that they shouldn’t act opposite aged heroes as it will not do any good for their careers. Richa Gangopadhyay and Adah Sharma are in consideration for the female leads in the movie. Nagarjuna is very excited about his upcoming project ‘Bhai’. He is so impressed with the script narrated by Poolarangadu fame Veerabhadram Chowdary that he himself will be producing the movie under his Annapurna studios banner. The movie will go on to sets from September.

The festive time is over and its the time to move on for director Harish Shankar after scoring the second biggest hit in the history of Tollywood. His next movie will have Young Tiger NTR playing the main lead. The subject for this project was agreed in Principle and Harish is currently busy preparing the full bound script for the movie.

Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara films banner. This movie will go on to floors from October. NTR is currently busy in the shooting of Srinu Vaitla’s Badshah.

Samantha had to lose the prestigious chance of acting in a Shankar’s movie due to her skin related problems. And now the latest buzz is that Shankar is planning to rope in Amy Jackson to that role, if the latest reports are to be believed.

However, there is one more heroine role in the movie for which the search is on. It is not known if Amy will play the lead role or side role. Vikram is playing the lead role in the film and it also stars Santhanam and Suresh Gopi. A R Rahman is composing the music and P C Sriram is the cinematographer. The movie is titled ‘I’ and will go on to sets some time in August.

Last week few media groups had reported that Tapsee had replaced Anushka in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming movie, Aditya 999. Taapsee’s fans asked her if she had signed the film, she promptly replied on Twitter, “m reading all ur tweets n I’m not doing dat adhitya movie.”

The film is being touted as a sequel to Aditya 369 which was a huge hit back in 1991. Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao is going to direct the sequel and Vinod is producing the film. Konda Krishnam Raju is presenting the film. The movie will begin shooting some time in August.

Few days ago we have reported that Puri Jagannath is all set to direct Stylish Star Allu Arjun for the second time in his career. Apparently, Puri’s story impressed producer Ganesh Babu so much that he offered Puri a bumper amount to direct the film.Puri had earlier directed Allu Arjun in a movie titled ‘Desamudhuru’ which brought them reasonable success and now the duo are pairing up once again for a new movie. The movie will have its muhurtham on October 18th and will hit the screens on December 21st. Puri will complete the shooting of Cameraman Gangatho Ram Babu and will sit to prepare the final bound of this script. Ganesh Babu will be producing this movie on Parameswara Arts banner.

Allu Arjun currently has ‘Julayi’ which is ready to release. He will very soon begin the shooting of his next movie ‘Lover’ and complete the movie shooting before beginning this movie.

Handsome hunk Rana is all set to play a mythological character. He is going to be seen as Narasimha Swamy for some key scenes in his upcoming film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Shooting for these key scenes is currently going on in Hyderabad.

Rana is completely dedicated to this movie and decided not to start any other movie in Telugu and Hindi till the completion of this movie. The movie shooting is half done.
