Chandrababu now concetrates on Common People issues

Share
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have learnt a lesson from the series of debacles in the by-elections for the last three years and realized that unless he takes up the issues concerning the people, they would not believe him.
The TDP president’s dharna for a flyover near Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada on Monday is believed to be an attempt on his part to win over the confidence of the people.
The flyover at the Indrakeeladri hills connecting Vijayawada town and the National Highway No. 7 has been a long-pending demand of the people of Vijayawada and in fact, it has been there since Naidu was the chief minister. He, however, ignored the demand then.
Of late, the demand has been revived and the TDP has taken it up in a big way to appease the people. And Naidu sat on a day-long dharna on Monday to highlight the demand.
All these days, Naidu was focusing only on highlighting the alleged corruption of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and nothing else, instead of taking up people’s issues and attacking the government’s failures. As a result, he was rejected by the people. Let us see how far Naidu can get back the people’s support.

Can the flop director succeed as producer?

Ramesh Varma started his career as Movie Posters designer and had later started directed movies like Oka Oorilo, Malle Puvvu, Ride and Veera. A movie under his direction with Balakrishna as the main lead was announced but did not go on to sets. His last movie Veera with Ravi Teja is an outright disaster and is left him with no offers now. And now he had donned a new avatar. He is producing Jaffa on his own banner Kiran Arts Pvt Ltd.
Jaffa is being directed by Vennela Kishore. The first look of the movie was recently released and has gone viral on internet. The movie is reportedly made with a budget of under 2 Crores. The movie is being produced by Ramesh Varma who earlier directed movies like Ride and Veera. The makers are expecting a minimum of 1.2 Crores for the TV rights of the movie and atleast 20 Lakhs for the DVD rights. So the rest of the 60 Lakhs have to be recovered from the theatrical rights of the movie for the break even. And with the hype that is created, the makers are easily expected to draw double the amount they invested.

Parvathi Melton gains weight for Balayya !

Share
It has been quite a while since the red wine beauty Parvathi Melton has been seen onscreen. Barring the item song in ‘Dookudu’, Parvathi was not around. But now she is back and that too with a bang it appears. This is through the film ‘Srimannarayana’.
Now, what is catching the attention of many is the new look of Parvathi. She has put on few pounds and inside talk is that she has done that on the behest of Nandamuri Balakrishna, the hero of the film. As such, the cine folks say Balayya likes his heroines to be voluptuous.
Given Parvathi’s tall frame, she would be a vision of beauty if she has few extra pounds. Ironically, Parvathi is one of those rare beauties who never got her due despite having the right sex appeal and natural beauty. With the new look of ‘Srimannarayana’ it remains to be seen if she can prove her mettle or not. Let us hope she does.

Jagan Vs Chiru – A political analysis of their Future Success !

Share
There are two new stars on the AP political horizon who proved that they had charisma and could win elections through simple magic.
They are the Mega Star-turned-politician Chiranjeevi and the businessman-turned-politician Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.Comparing the political journey of Chiranjeevi and Jagan, from where they started, where they are now, and where they could end up in the near future, would make an interesting reading:
Chiranjeevi:
He lived like an emperor in the film industry. He was called the Mega Star and the industry was at his beck and call. He has suddenly decided to plunge into politics and cleanse it. Thus he has started his journey sometime during 2007-2008, giving himself just a year or so for snatching power in one of India’s largest states, in the 2009 general elections. He has completely banked upon his charisma to pip everybody to the post. He started his political journey starting as a complete novice. His biggest mistake was to bank on his own charisma and hoping to win a majority of the 294 constituencies of Andhra Pradesh,
His major handicap was that he had no political strategist like either KVP Ramachandra Rao or Vijaya Sai Reddy who had helped Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Jaganmohan Reddy in their political manipulations. There is no doubt that Chiranjeevi’s charisma has worked in all the 294constituencies. But he could not cash in on his charisma as he did not have the right people in all these constituencies to represent him.
And the biggest contributors to the failure of Chiranjeevi’s political debut were perhaps the two most tactical and astute politicians ever born in India. One being the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu, while the other was the late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
One can easily say that, a thousand Chiranjeevis are no match to either a single YSR, or a CBN or for the matter even a single Jagan, in terms of political strategy, thinking and action.Having said that, it should also be admitted that a thousand YSRs, CBNs or Jagans cannot be a match Chiranjeevi in charisma.
But in politics, political strategy combined with a little charisma always wins over Charisma combined with little or no political strategy.
Jagan:
Jagan started his political journey long before Chiranjeevi did, under the political tutelage of his late father. Though his party is a roughly just two-year-old, he planned his strategies impeccably. He never planned to pull the government down and force mid-term polls, without first testing his strength. He was at one stage in a position to actually bring the government down. He chose to go step by step.As a first step, he has tested the waters through by-elections forced by his and his mother’s resignations.
He has backed out of the by-elections in Telangana strategically. If he had contested the by-polls then and lost, it would have had devastating effect on his future plans. The debacle in Telangana would have brought curtains down on his party even in the Seemandhra region.
He has faced the recent by-elections to 18 Assembly constituencies (17 of which are in the Seemandhra region) with full force and posted a stunning victory. His reasoning proved to be correct.Jagan is now preparing the ground for the next 2years for the ultimate test in the 2014 general elections, with the by-poll success as his strength.Apart from his clever strategies, his media has also helped him in his success despite  massive corruption cases (not just allegations) pending against him.
Where dothey stand now?ForChiranjeevi, things were never better before. The former Mega Star watched in awe his ambitions destroyed by the corrupt Telugu media. His party had coverts planted by his main rivals Congress and TDP, who dented his and the party’s image in a major way. They joined the PRP amid fan fare and left it leveling serious charges against it and Chiranjeevi before the media. A cine couple went hammer and tongs at him. His main drawback was not having the necessary wherewithal and the think tank to run a political outfit.
He however did some hard thinking and pulled the wind out of the sails of many of his baiters, by merging his entire outfit, lock, stock and barrel in the Congress. The very same media which united to smash his ambitions are now fighting each other like mafia gang lords, with heavy chances of their fights being taken to the streets and a lot of dirty secrets waiting to be spilled out, along with the possibility of some blood too.
The very same media houses which jointly tarnished Chiranjeevi’s image, are now on the brink of ruining their as well as their respective patrons’ images through their circus. Seeing all this, Chiru (as he is affectionately called), would be having the last laugh. The one aspect of Chiru which has been admired by many is, he never hits back at his detractors. Never. His patience seems unending. Both Jagan and Chandrababu have strong media back up.
Jagan’s mouthpiece ‘Sakshi’ turned him into a demi-God. CBN has his own proxy media channels to draw support from.As the life of a demon lies in the heart of a parrot in the fairy tales, the success of Jagan and CBN lies in their respective media outfits.Stifle or Destroy their media, Jagan and CBN get destroyed.
Right now, there is no need to destroy these media outfits. They are well on their way to destroy themselves.
Final Analysis:
In a soccer match between two teams, if one side scores 15 goals and the other only 2 goals, the focus would be on the two goals of the loosing team, if hit by the same player. Specially, if the other 15 goals were on expected lines. That player from the loosing side who has set up or hit those two goals (whichever way he has contributed), tends to become an overnight rage. Ten out of ten times the striker of the losing team could end up getting a bigger contract vis-a-vis any single player from the winning team.
This adulation which he receives, in the aftermath is for 2 primary reasons:
01. He single handedly stemmed the rot. Which otherwise would have been a 17-0 defeat for his side.
02. He has given a glimmer of hope to his losing team and supporters that all is not lost. He has also created a sense of doubt in the winning team (specially their leader), who would be busy in the celebrations of their 15-2 success, that, he/they cannot take things for granted the next time. These are plain facts of life.

Irrespective of the mixed reviews and average talk, Karthi’s Shakuni is making a merry at AP and Tamil Nadu box office. The movie has reportedly collected 10 Crores net in both the versions combined on the first day. And the collections of the first weekend is still rock steady. There are no big movies lined up in both the languages in the next two weeks in both the languages, Trade analysts are predicting that with good promotion, the movie might be able to recover its costs in worst case.
If it happens, the market of Karthi will rapidly improve in Andhra Pradesh.

On this occasion, he spoke to a Mumbai tabloid on several issues. Here is the excerpts of the interview in which he spoke about his relationship with Nayantara:
What is your problem with Nayanthara and why did you split with her?

All these days I kept quiet about this matter. Now I want to answer this question but something prevents me from doing so. Hence I don’t want to talk about this. Don’t ask anything about her. This is a finished matter. I don’t keep this in my mind. I have forgotten all these things and I am going forward in my career. That is my policy.

Nayanthara has mentioned that she split with you because you did not have honesty and loyalty towards her?
Nayanthara has every right to speak openly. There is no necessity for me to reply for all these things. Whatever she says will not affect me. I have great faith in God. As far as I am concerned everything happens according to the will of the God. He will guide me in the right path.

YSR’s Enemies Becoming Jagan’s Friends

Share
When their fathers had something in their mind, the kids are changing the equation completely. Kin and kith of YSR’s bitter rivals are in fact changing strategies shockingly to befriend Jagan.
It started with Mysoora Reddy joining hands with Jagan. The erstwhile TDP leader is a staunch opponent of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in his celebrated political career. Rumor is that his son forced him to join with YS Jagan, who is looking like a raising wave in AP politics.
Later, YSR’s another bitter enemy P Janardhan Reddy’s daughter is giving feelers that she will travel with YSR-Congress. YSR and PJR are two opposite poles in same party, with late-CM denying a minister post to PJR, though the latter one is one of the seniors in party. PJR’s daughter Vijaya is expected to contest in Serilingampalli constituency on YSRC ticket for 2014 election.
The other day, minister Viswaroop’s son Krishna Reddy has also met Jagan at Chanchalguda Prison. Though the minister denied joining hands with Jagan, it is clear that father wants to test waters with Congress, while son wants to travel with Jagan party. Many more MLAs and Ministers, who are enemies of YSR, are now forcing their sons to do friendship with Jagan. This is what we say power politics.

Y.S.Vijayamma to start ‘Odarpu Yathra – 2’ !

Share
While most of our leaders do yatras only during election campaigning, one person is completely opposite to it. Off course, he is enjoying the fruit of that yatra with people blessing him to power.
YS Jagan started ‘Odarpu Yatra’ to console the persons who have breathed their last after getting shock with YSR’s death in chopper crash. He did that for two years and amassed huge popularity among people and voters. Now that Jagan is in jail, Vijayamma is going to start the second version of it. YSR-C leader Konda Surekha says, ‘Vijayamma will start Odarpu Yatra again from the point where Jagan has stopped it. We’ll go deeper into people’.
Analysts say that if Vijayamma continues this Odarpu for the next one year, there is no doubt YSR-C will get more seats than expected in 2014 elections. We have to see what weapon the Congress and TDP will use to restrict YSR-C.
