We are talking about the film ‘Dammu’ and the ladies in focus are the petite beauty Trisha and the fresh face Karthika. Reports are coming out that both of them have gone beyond the mile and have given full-on exposure in the film. Be it songs, romance scenes, both have reportedly given an overdose of visual feast.

While some say it was more like a competition between both as to who is the sexiest, few others said it had nothing to do with each other but more about their survival and presence. Whatever it is, if this talk is true then it is sure that the Telugu audience would be in for some major glamour treat with ‘Dammu’. Let us see what happens.

Big Hero’s ‘Special’ friend becomes item girl!!

She is none other than Tabu and now, she is all set to make a comeback of sorts with a spicy avatar. Well, news is that Tabu has been roped in to come up with an item song and this is for the Hindi movie ‘Maximum’ starring the chiseled hunk Sonu Sood. And here is the interesting part.

Tabu would be shaking her booty to the remake version of the famous Telugu chartbuster ‘Aa Ante Amalapuramâ€¦’. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, it is heard that many are praying Tabu says yes and all can see her in an item bomb avatar. Wonder what Nagarjuna has to say to this.

Pawan Kalyan takes over for ‘Gabbar Singh’ climax

It is known news that power star Pawan Kalyan is all set to arrive with his new movie ‘Gabbar Singh’ and buzz is that the film has reached the climax stages of its making. This is being directed by Harish Shankar and it is heard that the climax stages involve lot of fight sequences.

While the professional twins Ram-Laxman are busy supervising the fights, here is an interesting bit. It is heard that the power star has come up with certain ideas and thoughts for the fights to make them more gripping and unit members reveal that the ideas were really daring but impressive.

Pawan is a martial arts expert himself and he has pulled off with some stunts in few of his movies. Now that he seems to have taken over the climax part of the film, let us hope there is some additional dose of entertainment for the audience and especially his fans.

NTR’s dammu on paper, not on field

The pre-release business of Young Tiger NTR’s commercial entertainer ‘Dammu’ is already making a lot of noise. If the reports are to believed, the film has fetched a whooping amount of about Rs 40 crore for theatrical rights and another Rs 6-7 crore for audio and satellite rights.

However, the critics were having a heartly laugh observing the developments and they have got a reason for it. Actually, the distributors and exhibitors of ‘Dammu’ could recover their investments only if the film manages to recovers atleast Rs 45-50 crores at the Box Office and to enter into the profit zone the film should generate over Rs 50 crores revenue. Sadly, none of the films of NTR has generated a share equal or more than Rs 45 crore till date. The distributors and exhibitors have paid record amounts to the makers and risked their lives by blindly trusting the combination of NTR and hat-trick director Boyapati Seenu.

“No doubt that NTR is one of the Top Stars in the Industry. But, he is still unable to cross that Rs 45 crore mark. Now, this benchmark has turned out to be a biggest barrier for him. None of his film generated Rs 45 crore share, while his contemporary heroes Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan managed to cross the Rs 70 crore mark. Will NTR achieves it with Dammu is to be seen!,” said a senior film critic.

Ultimately, the game is to be played on the field, but not on paper. So, what matters is ‘How much revenue the film has generated at the Box Office?’ Let’s hope, NTR willn’t miss this point!!!

Srinu Vaitla’s horror film!!

Director Srinu Vaitla needs no introduction. He has been coming up with jackpot hits in his career and with each project of his, the expectations are rising high. Now, it is heard that Vaitla is all set to come up with a new avatar and that too for a horror thriller. Well, here are the details for that.

It is heard that Vaitla would be seen as an actor and he would be doing a cameo in the most talked about movie ‘Poga’. Buzz is that this is being made in 4D and it is slated to be a horror thriller. This is being directed by Marthand K Shankar and the music is composed by Mahesh Shankar.

As such, Vaitla has shown his acting side in movies such as ‘Rainbow’ ‘Param Veera Chakra’ where he essayed the role of himself. What many are waiting to see is whether he would be playing himself or as a character in the film. The lead cast for ‘Poga’ is Ranadhir, Soumya and others. Get set for this one folks!!

Big Doubts About RaNa’s Stardom!?

After making a big debut amongst fanfare, macho hero RaNa is yet to taste his commercial success. Known for his big cut-out and height, the question now is will he attract youth with his commercial elements to stand out as a commercial hero.

To start out as a commercial star in the industry, one needs to essay three things with excellence. Dialogue delivery, breathtaking fights and foot tapping dances are must for any star commercial hero. The likes of RamCharan, Jr.NTR, Allu Arjun and Ram are rocketing their journey with all these ingredients. However, the latest released video songs of ‘Naa Ishtam’ showcase the unease of RaNa in dances.

This upcoming flick of Daggubati hero is said to be a commercial love story with all the touch of glitterati. With both RaNa and the ravishing heroine Genelia weak in shaking their bodies for ‘classic dance moves’, the songs haven’t stood out. At least, the oomph factor should have paid off like Maheshbabu-Kajal’s ‘Businessman’ songs, but that is also not happening here with Genelia looking unexciting. Off course, ‘babai’ Venky is also not a big dancer but managed well with family audiences and same things happens for RaNa too, a critic stated. Everything is RaNa’s Istham!

The buzz says that Idea owned by Aditya Birla group is giving it a serious thought of having Mahesh Babu as their whole and sole brand ambassador across India.

Mahesh Babu has been doing well as the brand ambassador of Idea in AP. There is a notable growth for the brand in Andhra Pradesh and Mahesh’s charm has something to do with. With Coca Cola choosing Mahesh as the national brand ambassador for Thumbs Up, there is every chance for Aditya Birla group to use his services to the maximum.

‘Rebel’ Fights To Outplay ‘Racha’

All the star heroes of Telugu Industry are competing with each other to wrap up the movies in hand such that they can give wholesale entertainment in summer. One such project is Prabhas’ ‘Rebel’ and here is the ‘Racha’ news of it.

Prabhas’ latest film under the direction of choreographer Lawrence has been in the offing for a while. Good news is that Lawrence is working day and night to finish the movie as soon as possible and with great quality. Though ‘Rebel’ may not fight with ‘Racha’, but Rebel’s fight-sequences are filmed at par with Racha’s famously heard ‘bamboo forest fight sequence.

Sources stated that Ramcharan has spent around 2 crores to cane this extraordinary fight sequence in some exotic forest locales of China. Now, Lawrence too wanted the same kind of rich fight for his movie, but has shot it traditionally at the famous ‘Murari Temple’ in Shamshabad. A unit member revealed that the fight came out very well and this stands as a brilliant piece of work till date among the best choreographed fights of Telugu cinema. One has to wait till the two films release to say who ‘Racha’ is and who is ‘Rebel’!

First impression of Ram Charan’s Racha songs!

Racha audio songs promos are out and after listening to the songs one gets a feeling that Ram Charan is attempting an out and out mass film. Although the title suggests that it is a mass film, audio gives clear idea about how massy the film would be. Racha title song despite the silly lyrics will be the best among the album after hearing all the song promos.

Ram Charan tried to experiment after Orange, but the film flopped big time leaving Cherry in big worry. So he is trying a full on mass masala film as films like these rarely misses the target. Coming to the audio promos, first impression of Vaana Vaana velluvaye remix doesn’t live up to the expectations. Choice of singers and the echo sound has killed the beautiful composition.

Luckily only few heroes have such charm to shine equally among both these sections of audience who literally drive a film from average to super hit standards.

Thums Down: Channel’s Dual Standards

Long back, Centre for Science and Environment(CSE) discovered that toxic pesticides and insecticides were in higher levels in the soft drinks, which were being marketed by multi national companies. Also, the reports revealed, chances of causing cancer, failure of nervous and reproductive system etc. would be occurred for drinking these beverages. Having understood the threat of using the brands like Thums Up, Pepsi etc. some of the political parties like left parties in A.P., Jana Vignana Vedika and some of the T.V.Channels agitated against then brand ambassador Thums Up,chiranjeevi, to give up his endorsement with the company. chiranjeevi made a positive gesture with these protests, and he didn’t extended his agreement with the company.

Later, Mahesh Babu had become the brand ambassador for Thums Up. Surprisingly, no agitations against his endorsement have been made. Then, Mega fans were said to have realized that previous agitations against chiranjeevi were purely political and nothing more than that. There is a news channel in A.P. that always strives hard for ‘Merugaina Samajam Kosam’. Every summer, the channel gives special ads to encourage drinking coconut water. However, that channel never used to protest against the heroes, who act as brand ambassadors for soft drinks which are manufactured by multi national companies. Instead, they appreciate those heroes that they get nation wide popularity with their endorsements. Some of the critics are slamming the dual standards being exhibited by these media.

There has been unending debate going over this as other heroes fans argue that Magadheera was a technicians film and Charan was just a part of it. They feel that any hero in place of Charan could have got the film a similar result. Although Rajamouli stated that a film’s success range depends on the hero of the film, the arguments are still on.
