దసరా సినిమా దర్శకుడు శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల దర్శకత్వంలో నాని హీరోగా ఒక సినిమా పట్టాలెక్కాల్సి ఉంది. కానీ కొన్ని కారణాల వల్ల ఇప్పటి వరకు స్క్రిప్ట్ వర్క్ పూర్తి అవ్వలేదు. దాంతో హిట్ 3 ని మొదట పట్టాలెక్కించే ఆలోచనలో నాని ఉన్నాడు. ఇటీవల అందుకు సంబంధించిన ప్రోమో ను కూడా విడుదల చేయడం జరిగింది. హిట్ 3 తర్వాత దసర దర్శకుడు శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల దర్శకత్వంలో సినిమా పట్టాలెక్కే అవకాశాలు ఉన్నాయి. వచ్చే ఏడాది జనవరి లో శ్రీకాంత్ ఓదెల మూవీ ప్రారంభం అయ్యి, అదే ఏడాది ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చే విధంగా ప్లాన్ చేస్తున్నట్లుగా సమాచారం అందుతోంది.
ఈ రెండు సినిమాలు మాత్రమే కాకుండా నాని ఇప్పటికే సుజీత్ దర్శకత్వంలో ఒక సినిమాకు కమిట్ అయ్యాడు. పవన్ తో ఓజీ చేస్తున్న సుజీత్ తన తదుపరి సినిమాగా నానితో సినిమాను చేయబోతున్నాడు. ఆ తర్వాత జెర్సీ చిత్ర దర్శకుడు గౌతమ్ తిన్ననూరి దర్శకత్వంలో కూడా నాని సినిమా చేయబోతున్నాడు. ఇప్పటికే గౌమ్ తిన్ననూరి చేస్తున్న సినిమా తర్వాత నాని సినిమా మొదలు పెట్టబోతున్నాడు. ఆ తర్వాత శేఖర్ కమ్ముల దర్శకత్వంలో ఒక సినిమాను నాని చేయనున్నాడు. ఒక వైపు హీరోగా వరుసగా సినిమాలు చేస్తూ మరో వైపు నిర్మాతగా కూడా నాని సినిమాలను ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకు వస్తున్నాడు.
Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft returns to Earth safely without crew
New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft on Saturday landed back safely on Earth without astronauts, after a three-month trip to the International Space Station (ISS).
“Touchdown #Starliner,” Boeing posted on social media platform X.
“Touchdown, #Starliner! The uncrewed spacecraft landed at New Mexico’s White Sands Space Harbor at 12:01 am ET (9.31 am IST) on Saturday, September 7,” added NASA.
Starliner landed uncrewed following NASA’s decision, taken on August 24, to not return Indian-origin Sunita Williams and Butch Willmore on the faulty spacecraft over “lack of safety and performance requirements for human spaceflight”.
The uncrewed return “allows NASA and Boeing to continue gathering Starliner performance data..while also not accepting more risk than necessary for its crew”, the US space agency said.
Williams and Willmore are now expected to return to Earth in February 2025 with the agency’s SpaceX Crew-9 mission.
The Starliner flew to the ISS with Williams and Willmore on a week-long mission. But as the spacecraft approached the orbiting lab, it experienced a series of technical issues such as the failure of several thrusters and helium leaks in the propulsion system.
While Boeing proclaimed the safety of Starliner, NASA officials have disagreed.
During the crucial review meeting held last week, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson noted that the agency’s “decision to keep Butch and Suni aboard the International Space Station and bring Boeing’s Starliner home uncrewed is the result of our commitment to safety”.
Meanwhile, NASA announced that both Williams and Willmore “are safe aboard the space station”
Along with the Expedition 71 crew the duo are supporting station research, maintenance, and Starliner system testing and data analysis. They recently completed research on fiber optic cables and growing plants aboard the ISS, NASA said.
Expedition 71 crew consists of NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Mike Barratt, Jeanette Epps, and Tracy C. Dyson, as well as Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and Alexander Grebenkin.
How IITs have become new export from India
While the Zanzibar campus was part of IIT Madras, the new campus in Abu Dhabi is part of IIT Delhi, and was officially inaugurated by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The campus’ first batch consists of 52 undergraduate students selected through the JEE Advanced exam and the newly established Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) for international candidates.
The undergraduate group will pursue BTech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Energy Engineering.
“IIT Delhi is honoured to have the esteemed presence of HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the inauguration of IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi campus and launch of strategic partnerships with HEIs in the emirate,” said Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, in a post on social media platform X.
The new campus is part of a collaboration between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, signed over two years ago in February 2022.
The Vision Document launched by Prime PM Modi and the UAE President outlines a roadmap for expanding the India-UAE relationship into new collaborative areas.
“IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus, an edifice of India-UAE friendship, unites our two countries together for leveraging the power of knowledge, science and technology for mutual and global prosperity,” Pradhan said.
IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi also offers a Master of Technology (MTech) programme in Energy Transition and Sustainability.
The premier institute opened its first offshore campus in Zanzibar, with a cohort including 50 students, in November 2023. The institute offers two full-time academic programmes — a four-year Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and a two-year Master of Technology in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. In May, the campus also launched a new MTech programme in Ocean Structures for the academic year 2024-25.
More offshore IIT campuses are reportedly in the pipeline — in Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Malaysia, and the UK.
The offshore campuses are part of the central government’s plan to ‘internationalise’ education as discussed in the new National Education Policy (NEP) of India 2020.
In 2022, the Ministry of Education also set up a 16-member committee to explore possibilities for Indian universities to set up foreign campuses.
More recently, PM Modi in his address to the nation on Independence Day said his government aims to “build such an education system in India that youngsters do not need to go abroad to study”.
“In fact, we would want foreign students to come here and study,” the PM said.
IITs are one of the most prestigious institutes of engineering in India. Its alumni include famous names like Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, noted economist and former RBI chief Raghuram Rajan, Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal, and Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, among others.
IITs also topped the list of the recently released National Institutional Ranking Framework rankings. IIT-Madras topped the list and was followed by IIT-Delhi and IIT-Bombay.
EU to support Danish climate-friendly dairy production with aid
Brussels, Sep 7 (IANS) The European Commission has approved the injection of around 53 million euros ($59 million) in a Danish scheme aimed at supporting a more climate-friendly dairy production.
The scheme is aimed at supporting livestock farmers in the reduction of methane emissions, according to a statement issued by the European Commission on Friday.
It will contribute to meeting the national binding reduction target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural and forestry sectors.
Additional aid will be granted to farmers who commit to further reducing methane emissions beyond the mandatory standards, Xinhua news agency reported.
The scheme will run until the end of December 2027 and will be open to dairy livestock farmers in Denmark.
The Commission said in the statement that the aid will take the form of direct grants and will cover up to 100 per cent of eligible costs.
The Commission assessed the scheme under European Union (EU) State Aid rules which allow Member states to support the development of certain economic activities under certain conditions.

It includes an administrative body of 32,000 European civil servants. The commission is divided into departments known as Directorates-General (DGs) that can be likened to departments or ministries each headed by a Director-General who is responsible to a Commissioner.
Algerian presidential election kicks off
Algiers, Sep 7 (IANS) Algerians headed to polls on Saturday to elect their next president, with more than 23 million citizens in the country eligible to cast their ballots.
Voting began early in the day, with polling stations nationwide opening at 8:00 a.m. local time. Mobile polling stations have been in operation since Wednesday to access remote areas, while overseas voting commenced on Monday, catering to over 800,000 Algerians living abroad, Xinhua news agency reported.
The National Independent Authority for Elections oversees the voting process. Regular updates will be provided throughout the day until the polls close at 8 p.m. local time.
The presidential race involves three candidates: the incumbent 78-year-old President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, seeking a second term as an independent candidate with broad support; Abdelaali Hassani Cherif, 57, head of the Movement of Society for Peace; and Youcef Aouchiche, 41, secretary general of the left-wing Socialist Forces Front.
The election comes after Tebboune’s decision on March 21 to reschedule the presidential polls, traditionally held in December, for an earlier time for “purely technical reasons.”
