Senior actress Manisha Koirala has kickstarted her second innings on a grand note with ‘Heeramandi’. The popular Netflix series got a lot of attention and her acting was praised by many. She did heroine roles in many hit films like ‘Bombay’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Oke Okkadu’, ‘Baba’, ‘Criminal’ and many more. She took a break and is back to the movie industry in full force.
In a recent interview, she recalled the time when she was asked to put on a bikini by a famous photographer in order to become a star. She said, “Very early on in my career I was asked to go and take photographs, and there was this very famous photographer. I went with my mom, and initially, that photographer said things like, ‘You are the next superstar and this and that.’ Cut to him bringing a two-piece bikini to me and asking me to wear it.”
She added, “I told him, ‘Sir, I wear this when I go to the beach or for a swim, but if this is the way I have to get into the movies, I don’t want it, and I am not wearing that.’ I told him either you shoot me fully clothed otherwise I am… ‘ I remember he gave me a big dialogue. He said, ‘Jo mitti pighalne se sharmati ho uske murti kaise banaye (The clay that refuses to melt, how do I make a statue from it)’.
I have not forgotten that.” She concluded by saying, “Not to be mean to the person, but their conscience level was that. Their exposure was that, so they behaved like that.”

Siddharth Gives A Strong Reply About Social Responsibility Of Actors!

‘Indian 2’ is all set to hit the screens on 12th July. The team is trying hard to generate buzz on the movie in the Telugu states. The promotional content got mixed reactions but the makers recently organized a pre-release event and talked about the movie in the press meet as well.
This media interaction session was attended by director Shankar, Kamal Haasan, Siddharth and Rakul Preet Singh. A journalist posed a question regarding the rule given by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy that heroes should do public service announcements before the screening if they want ticket hikes. The reporter then continued by questioning if the movie stars have social responsibility.
To this Siddharth said, “Every actor is socially responsible and we do things based on our conscience. Whichever CM requests us to do something, we will do it. No CM has ever told us that only if you do this we will do something else.” He added that he was the one who did condom ads back in 2005 and the hoardings used to be everywhere. Siddharth’s aggressive approach to this question surprised everyone but most of the public supported his statements.
Lyca Productions banner is bankrolling this project. Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Samuthirakani and others play key roles in this film. ‘Indian’ which was released back in 1996 was a sensational hit that made Shankar one of the top directors in South India. Anirudh is the music composer.
Social Media Influencer Faces Backlash for Offensive Content

The power of social media has come under renewed scrutiny following a recent incident involving a prominent influencer. This individual, whose identity remains undisclosed, has sparked outrage with remarks and attempts at humor deemed to be grossly offensive and demeaning.
The incident has ignited a firestorm on social media platforms, with several established actors and fellow influencers voicing their disapproval. Many have called for a “cancellation” of the influencer, urging viewers to cease following or engaging with their content. Additionally, calls for legal action have been made, highlighting the potential for such content to cross legal boundaries.
Leading the charge is actor Karthikeya, who took to social media to express his strong condemnation. Citing the specific example that ignited the controversy, Karthikeya decried the influencer’s “insensitive joke” as having crossed a line.
However, Karthikeya’s message extended beyond the singular incident. He identified a concerning trend: the normalization of demeaning content disguised as edgy humor. Karthikeya argued that the pursuit of being seen as “cool” or “new age” should not come at the expense of decency.
The actor emphasized the importance of fostering a positive online environment. He advocated for constructive criticism and healthy humor, while condemning the use of demeaning content that hinders societal progress. Karthikeya concluded with a powerful call to action: to collectively reject such content and instead focus on individual and collective growth.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the responsibility that comes with online influence. It highlights the need for creators to be mindful of the potential impact of their content, while empowering viewers to make informed choices about who they follow and what content they consume.
Kill: A Surprise Action Hit from Bollywood

While Tollywood saw a quiet Friday last week, North India witnessed the unexpected rise of a critically acclaimed film – “Kill.” Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt and produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions, “Kill” defied its low-key release to become a surprise success story. Positive buzz erupted on social media right from the premiere shows, solidifying the film’s impact.
The narrative centers around NSG Commando Amrit Rathod (Lakshya Lalwani), whose romantic plans take a drastic turn. Returning from a mission, Amrit intends to surprise his lover Tulika (Tanya Maniktala), only to discover she’s been engaged to another. As fate would have it, their train journey home is violently interrupted by a group of robbers led by the menacing Ashish Vidyarthi. The ensuing chaos sees the ruthless criminals rob passengers and brutally kill four people. Thrown into this unexpected fight for survival, Amrit is forced to confront the attackers, his love story taking a violent backseat.
“Kill” dives headfirst into action after a brief introductory phase. The remaining hour and forty minutes are a relentless barrage of bloodshed, catering specifically to fans of the crime and action genre. The film’s greatest strength lies in its ability to maintain a captivating narrative throughout its runtime. Bhatt’s screenplay expertly crafts a story that avoids lulls, ensuring viewers remain glued to the screen.
Raghav Juyal delivers a chilling performance as the film’s antagonist, his portrayal adding a layer of fear to the already intense action sequences. While the violence might be excessive for some viewers, the establishment and execution of Amrit’s character are commendable. The narrative does sacrifice some logical coherence in its pursuit of thrills, but this is a minor quibble considering the film’s target audience. “Kill” is strictly not recommended for families due to its graphic content, but action enthusiasts are in for a treat.
In conclusion, “Kill” emerged from the shadows to become a surprise hit. With its relentless action, engaging story, and strong performances, the film offers a thrilling cinematic experience for fans of the genre.
