V. Vijay Sai Reddy Plans Padayatra Ahead of Jagan Mohan Reddy

Share

As YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced plans to undertake a padayatra one-and-a-half years ahead of the next assembly elections, his former aide and ex-Rajya Sabha member V. Vijay Sai Reddy is reportedly planning his own statewide padayatra.

Sources indicate that Sai Reddy, who was once regarded as the No. 2 in YSRCP before leaving the party in January last year, intends to begin his yatra as early as June, well ahead of Jagan’s march.

Sai Reddy has publicly stated that the primary reason for his exit from YSRCP was the influence of a “coterie” surrounding Jagan. His main target appears to be YSRCP state coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, whom he holds responsible for the party’s defeat in the 2024 elections.

Claiming that he endured humiliation and sidelining for over three years, Sai Reddy alleged that the inner circle deliberately portrayed him as a “backstabber” in Jagan’s eyes.

It is not yet clear under what banner Sai Reddy will launch his padayatra. However, the focus is expected to be on countering corruption allegations, rebuilding his political credibility, and demonstrating grassroots strength.

Speculation is rife that Sai Reddy may eventually align with the BJP or even launch an independent political platform, depending on the public response during his march. His reported connections with senior BJP leaders in Delhi have fueled discussions about a possible realignment, including strengthening the BJP in alliance with Jana Sena to chart a more independent political path.

Ranbir Kapoor Confirms Animal Park Sequel, Shooting Likely in 2027

Share

Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for a busy year with a slate of high-profile projects, including Ramayana: Part One and Love and War, both scheduled for release in 2026.

Beyond these films, Ranbir also has Animal Park, the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster Animal. However, the actor has clarified that the sequel is still some time away from going on floors.

In a recent interview with Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir was asked if Animal 2 was currently in production. He explained that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently busy with another project and that Animal Park is likely to begin only in 2027. “It’s still a bit away,” he added.

When asked about the script, Ranbir revealed that Vanga has so far only discussed the broad ideas. The filmmaker is reportedly planning the story as a trilogy, with the second installment titled Animal Park. Ranbir shared that he and Vanga have been exchanging ideas since the first film, especially about how the story will progress.

Calling the project exciting, Ranbir hinted that the sequel will allow him to play both the protagonist and the antagonist. For those unfamiliar with Animal, the antagonist undergoes plastic surgery and transforms into a body double who eventually resembles the protagonist.

Released in 2023, Animal is a hyper-violent action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film explores the obsessive and complex relationship between a father and son. Ranbir played Ranvijay Singh, a man shaped by childhood trauma caused by his emotionally distant father, portrayed by Anil Kapoor. The story follows Vijay’s brutal path of revenge after an assassination attempt on his father.

On the work front, Ranbir is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, a 1960s-set historical drama co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, scheduled to release in June 2026. He will also be seen later this year in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One, where he essays a pivotal role.

Chinmayi Slams Chiranjeevi’s Remarks, Says Casting Couch Is a Harsh Reality

Share

Singer Chinmayi Sripaada has strongly reacted to veteran Telugu actor Chiranjeevi’s recent remarks stating that there is no casting couch culture in the film industry and that such situations depend on individuals. His comments have sparked widespread debate and criticism.

Speaking at a public event in Hyderabad, Chiranjeevi said, “There is no casting couch culture as such. It depends on the individual.” Many felt that this statement indirectly shifted responsibility onto victims rather than addressing the systemic nature of the problem.

Responding through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Chinmayi firmly rejected this view, stating that casting couch practices are very much a reality, particularly for women trying to enter the industry. Drawing from her own experiences and those shared by several others, she described the issue as deeply entrenched and widespread.

“Casting couch is rampant. Women are denied opportunities if they don’t offer ‘full commitment’—a word that means something very different in the film industry,” Chinmayi wrote.

She also countered Chiranjeevi’s claim that the film industry acts as a mirror reflecting one’s character. “Women today are educated, aware, and even come from abroad, yet they still face harassment. So no, the industry is not a mirror of who you are,” she stated.

Recalling her own traumatic experience, Chinmayi once again spoke about being molested by lyricist Vairamuthu at a young age. She emphasized that demanding sexual favours in exchange for work remains the core problem and added that the presence of parents or guardians often does not deter predatory behaviour.

Chinmayi also warned newcomers about how industry terminology is deliberately misused. According to her, many women initially interpret “commitment” as professionalism, only to later realise that some men use it as a coded demand for sexual access.
“These men remain in positions of power and feel entitled to women’s bodies in exchange for work,” she said.

Further highlighting the severity of the issue, Chinmayi shared disturbing accounts from other women, including an incident where a female musician allegedly had to lock herself inside a sound booth to escape a sexual assault attempt. She also referred to repeat offenders who continue to be celebrated despite allegations of harassment, including sending explicit images and making sexual demands.

Reflecting on generational differences, Chinmayi noted that senior stars like Chiranjeevi come from an era where many actors worked within familiar and relatively protected circles. However, she stressed that the industry today functions very differently and poses significantly higher risks for women, especially newcomers.

She also spoke about the backlash faced by women during the MeToo movement, pointing out how several senior figures dismissed, mocked, or insulted survivors, further discouraging victims from speaking out.

Chiranjeevi’s remarks have since drawn widespread criticism on social media, with many accusing him of downplaying the issue and indirectly blaming victims instead of acknowledging sexual harassment as a systemic problem within the film industry.

One of the world’s most prestigious Ivy League institutions, Harvard University, is currently hosting Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who has enrolled in an executive education programme focused on leadership, governance, and public policy.

According to the latest updates, Revanth Reddy began his programme at the renowned Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge on Sunday afternoon (local time). The opening day included programme orientation and cohort introductions, marking the formal start of the course.

The programme, titled “Leadership in the 21st Century,” commenced with an inaugural session on “Analysing Authority and Leadership.” Designed for global leaders, the course aims to provide deeper insights into contemporary leadership challenges and policy-making frameworks.

Classes began early on Monday morning at 7 AM, with participants engaging in a packed schedule that included large-class case analyses, consultative group discussions, and collaborative coursework. The sessions are expected to continue until late evening, around 6 PM.

Meanwhile, the region is experiencing extreme weather conditions. Despite the harsh conditions, the programme is continuing as scheduled.

Botsa–Lokesh Interaction at Raj Bhavan Draws Attention on Republic Day

Share

It can be said that Botsa Satyanarayana is among the few leaders in the YSR Congress Party known for his approachable and cordial nature. Despite clear political differences, the senior YCP leader has managed to maintain reasonably good personal equations with leaders across party lines.

Not long ago, Botsa was seen engaging in a candid conversation with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at the Legislative Council, a moment that drew attention for its warmth.

A similar instance unfolded once again today. During the Republic Day ‘At Home’ reception hosted by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Botsa Satyanarayana walked up to IT Minister Nara Lokesh and exchanged a brief conversation.

The interaction between the YCP senior leader and the TDP minister made for an interesting visual, with both leaders appearing to set aside political differences and converse on a personal note. In the otherwise polarized political climate of the state, such moments stand out.

At the end of the day, politics and personal relationships do not always have to overlap. Lokesh, in particular, appeared to uphold this distinction, despite the often aggressive political atmosphere and the confrontational stance traditionally adopted by the YCP leadership against TDP cadres.

Interestingly, some observers have pointed out that N. Chandrababu Naidu was long known for maintaining cordial relationships beyond political lines, and many feel that Lokesh seems to be carrying forward the same legacy.

Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi Pre-Release Event: ENE Boys Reunite, Vishwak Sen’s Emotional Speech

Share

Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi is an upcoming film featuring Tharun Bhascker and Eesha Rebba as the lead pair. Directed by AR Sajeev, the film has already generated strong buzz, with its trailer receiving a tremendous response from audiences. Recently, the makers held a grand pre-release event, which turned into a mini reunion as the popular ENE Repeat Boys graced the occasion.

Actor Vishwak Sen, who has largely stayed away from public appearances in recent times, made a rare appearance at the event. Addressing the gathering, he said, “I’ve been underground for nearly a year, detoxing from public life. I came here only because this feels like a family function. I began Falaknuma Das with Tharun after several attempts to convince him. Today, he has become a busy actor. I was actually waiting for him to start ENE. During the toughest phase of my life, Tharun stood by me despite barely knowing me then. He is like a blood brother to me. This truly feels like a home function. This is Eesha’s movie. ENE shooting began a month ago, and Srujan is producing it.”

Speaking next, Tharun Bhascker shared his experience working on the film. He revealed that adapting to the Godavari slang was initially challenging and credited director AR Sajeev for guiding him through it. “One perfect Telugu song is enough to show how fresh this film is. Brahmaji and the entire cast have done a brilliant job. I thank my ENE boys for being here and I’m enjoying every moment working with them. Srujan, my school junior, balancing a job, family, and film production during unstable OTT times is truly impressive. In today’s scenario, the producer is the real hero. Eesha embodies Shanti—she is the true hero of this film. Whatever her journey, she chooses silence. Real fighters stay silent. This movie is dedicated to all women with a fighting spirit.”

Eesha Rebba expressed her gratitude to producer Srujan for backing content-driven cinema. “Casting me was a risky decision, as most filmmakers prefer actors with proven commercial success. Sajeev is extremely dedicated, and thanks to Sajeev and Nandu, the film feels very authentic. We fondly call Sajeev the ‘Meta Maestro.’ The music has turned out wonderfully. I always wanted to work under Tharun’s direction, but I’m happy to act alongside him instead. This is a story every couple can relate to, and I hope the film entertains everyone.”

Devara 2: Producer Confirms Timeline, NTR’s Green Signal Still Awaited

Share

For NTR fans, Devara 2 has gradually turned into a major question mark. For months, uncertainty loomed over whether the sequel would move forward or be quietly shelved. Now, producer Sudhakar Mikkilineni has finally offered some much-needed clarity.

Speaking at a recent event, Sudhakar confirmed that Devara 2 is planned to go on floors in May 2026, with a 2027 release in mind. This announcement has put to rest, at least for now, widespread rumours about the project being stalled.

However, the continued silence from director Koratala Siva has raised eyebrows. There has been no official statement from him so far, leaving fans guessing about the project’s current status. Adding to the uncertainty is NTR’s packed lineup. His recent release War 2 failed to meet expectations at the box office, making the actor more cautious about his upcoming choices.

At present, NTR is fully focused on his high-profile film with Prashanth Neel, which is expected to release around June. Following that, he also has God of War with Trivikram Srinivas lined up. With two massive projects already in hand, fans are confused about how Devara 2 fits into this tight schedule.

Industry sources suggest that NTR wants to complete and assess the Prashanth Neel film before committing to any further projects. Only after that is he expected to take a final call on Devara 2.

There have also been reports that Koratala Siva is reworking the sequel’s script, addressing the shortcomings of the first part. In the past, rumours claimed that NTR had stepped back multiple times due to a lack of confidence in the script. With the producer now announcing a clear timeline, fans are hopeful that Koratala will soon convince NTR and move the project forward.

Given the strong expectations created by Devara Part 1, the sequel will need far stronger content to live up to the hype. With this latest update, Devara 2 has once again grabbed the spotlight. All eyes are now on Koratala Siva’s next move and on when NTR will finally give his green signal.
