Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s action thriller ‘Devil’ is all set to hit the screens on 29th December. The songs, teaser and the trailer generated a huge response from movie lovers. They are eager to see how the movie turns out and what it will showcase. But Nandamuri fans were a bit scared of the movie releasing a week after ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’.

To their relief, ‘Dunki’ turned out to be a disappointing fare at the box office. The movie was not what the audience expected. On the phone there hand, ‘Salaar’ had a massive opening and it is expected to register great numbers by the weekend but the mixed talk may result in a drop during the weekdays. Also, the excessive violence & the ‘A’ certificate may keep the families away from the theatres. This may work in favour of Kalyan Ram’s film. The movie will have a free run at the box office till the Sankranti releases arrive.

Samyuktha Menon and Malavika Nair are the female leads in this movie. The talented team of Srikanth Vissa has beautifully crafted the story, screenplay, and dialogues, ensuring a gripping and engaging narrative for the audience. After trying his luck and failing with a pan-Indian flick like ‘Mosagallu’, Manchu Vishnu is all to target the nationwide audience once again with another interesting project. Titled ‘Kannappa’, it is Vishnu’s dream project and shooting is going on at full swing. The Manchu hero has spent a lot of time on pre-production work.

Legendary actor Manchu Mohan Babu will be bankrolling this film under ‘Ava Entertainments’ and ’24 Frames Factory’ banners while Mukhesh Kumar Singh who made the Mahabharata series which was telecasted on Star Plus is going to direct it. Star heroine Kriti Sanon’s younger sister Nupur Sanon is the heroine while Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Thota Prasad and Sai Madhav Burra are the writers. Stephen Devasi and Manisharma are the music composers for this pan-Indian flick.

Mohan Babu gave a new update which revealed, “’Kannappa’ is a film being produced in New Zealand with 600 Hollywood and India’s biggest actors, Thailand and New Zealand technicians, Vishnu Manchu in the lead. We are returning to India after completing the first schedule of 90 days in the wonderful locations of New Zealand with the blessings of the Lord, Shirdi Sainath.” The veteran actor is seen sitting in a relaxed manner in the midst of a scenic location.

Mohanlal, Sarathkumar and Rebel Star Prabhas are playing special roles in this prestigious project.

The eternal wait for a hit from Prabhas’ fans has finally ended. Prabhas was shown in a way that his fans always wanted to see him after ‘Baahubali’. Prasanth Neel used the cutout of Prabhas perfectly in ‘Salaar’. Though the story is incomplete, Neel hit it out of the park when it comes to elevations and action scenes which made the fans and mass audiences go wild in the theatres. With the movie providing paisa vasool entertainment, it is going to create records at the box office.

But there were a lot of complaints on ‘Salaar’ and most of them are true. The hero’s character graph is quite uneven, the lack of emotional bond between the close friends and their supposed rivalry was also not showcased at all in the first part. The story was also not narrated in a clear manner and there is room for a lot of confusion. But experts are predicting that all the doubts will be clarified in the second part of ‘Salaar’.

Prasanth Neel did not reveal the entire facets of the hero character in the first part. A lot of them were kept under wraps and the climax set the stage perfectly for the second part to explore more of these details. Also, the thread showing how friends become rivals was also left for the second part along with the reason for the hero living in exile despite being the true heir of Khaansar.

Also, Jagapathi Babu is expected to get more screen time in the second film as he is confined to 2-3 scenes in ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’. Prasanth Neel made a strong base to show ‘Shouryanga Parvam’ and delve more into the characters and their tribes. So, one can expect more gripping content in the second film and people are raising their expectations already. Let us wait for a year or two to know the entire story.
