‘Pippa’ Impresses People Despite Ongoing Controversy!
Talented young hero Ishaan Khatter and Mrunal Thakur’s recent outing ‘Pippa’ which was released directly on Amazon Prime Video recently is garnering good response from the public. The movie showed the valor of the Indian army and how Pakistan committed atrocities in Bangladesh. The performances and intense scenes are the biggest plus points of ‘Pippa’. While the entire film crew is happy with the superb response, there is a controversy that forced them to issue a public statement.
AR Rahman who composed the music for this flick has reportedly used ‘Karar Oi Louho Kopat’ song which is written by the Bengali poet Nazrul Islam. The composer as well as the movie unit are facing a lot of backlash for not contacting the original writer and giving him his royalty along with taking her permission.
The production house released a statement that reads, “In light of the current discourse surrounding the song ‘Karar Oi Louho Kopat’ the producers, director, and music composer of the film Pippa wish to clarify that our rendition of the song is a sincere artistic interpretation, embarked upon only after securing the necessary adaptation rights from the estate of the Late Mr. Kazi Nazrul Islam.”
They added, “We have deep respect for the original composition and for the Late Mr. Kazi Nazrul Islam, whose contribution to the musical, political and social landscape of the Indian subcontinent is immeasurable. This album was created as a tribute to the men and women who dedicated their lives to the liberation of Bangladesh and keeping in mind the sentiments of their struggle for freedom, peace and justice.”
Deepika Opens Up About How She Used To Sleep In The Car!
Dazzling beauty Deepika Padukone might be one of the biggest names in the Indian film industry right now but even she went through a lot of struggles during the initial stages of her career. She made a spectacular debut with ‘Om Shanti Om’ back in 2007 and there was no stopping her even since. She worked in Hollywood too as she romanced Vin Diesel in ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’.
But she never acted in other English movies as she wanted to stay in her home country. Talking about her modelling days, she said, “Early on in my modelling career, I had an offer to move overseas and all of the fashion gurus in India said, ‘You shouldn’t be here, you should be in Paris, New York or Milan,’ and I was like, ‘No, those places are not my home. India is home.'”
Speaking about insecurities, she revealed, “When you were an outsider 15 or 20 years ago, there was no other option. It’s an uphill task for any individual trying to make a mark in a field or profession that their parents don’t come from. The fact that we’ve started to articulate things like nepotism is a new trend. It existed then, it exists now and it will continue to exist. That was my reality. I had no choice.”
She added, “Back then, I had so many things to deal with, not just professionally but also personally. I was a teenager moving to a new city with no family or friends in a new industry. I had to figure out my meals and transport, and lug my own bags around. I never thought of it as a burden back then.” She even recalled the time when she used to sleep during her car rides back home which made her mom quite worried.
After scoring hits like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathan’, Deepika is working on ‘Singham 3’ and she will be seen in ‘Fighter’ as well. The lovely lady is the female lead in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ as well.

‘Mangalavaaram’ is stunning, intriguing: Producers Swathi Gunupati, Suresh Varma
‘Mangalavaaram’ marks the debut of a lady producer. Swathi Reddy Gunupati, the daughter of Nimmagadda Prasad, has produced the movie along with Suresh Varma M. Their Mudhra Media Works and director Ajay Bhupathi’s A Creative Works are promoting the movie ahead of its release on November 17.
In her latest interview, the producers say that the film is more than just a thriller. “Despite falling into the category of a dark thriller, this movie encapsulates a spectrum of emotions. Our aim was to break away from the conventional and create something unique. This decision is at the core of why we undertook this project. Each character holds significance in the narrative, contributing to the richness of the story,” they said.
“Upon hearing Ajay Bhupathi’s narration, I was thoroughly impressed with the way the message resonated with me, encompassing elements such as music, emotions, a profound message, and more,” says Suresh Varma. The producers are thrilled with the dedication exhibited by the ‘RX 100’ maker. “In addition to directing, he shouldered several other responsibilities, alleviating any pressure on us. Our filming journey commenced once the bound script was finalized, with only a few minor improvisations made later on.”
Owing to the strong buzz, the makers are said to be planning early paid premiere shows on November 16.
