Chota K Naidu is one of the most talented cinematographers in Tollywood. He has been in the industry for nearly three decades and delivered great visuals for many blockbusters. But Mega fans are not at all happy with him being the cinematographer for #Mega156. They are demanding on Twitter that he should be replaced along with costume designer Sushmita Konidela. It is not at all possible as Chota is one of the finest in Telugu cinema. His last film was ‘Peda Kapu’ and his visuals were the only plus point in that movie.
This is the main reason why director Vassishta picked him for #Mega156. Chota K Naidu’s work in Vassishta’s debut film ‘Bimbisara’ was highly impressive. But there is an argument from the fans that Chota K Naidu is old school and has not updated with the current trend. They say that his work in movies like ‘Nayak’, ‘Adhurs’ and ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ was disappointing as he used too many close-up shots for many artists. But his work in movies like ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ and ‘Tiger’ prove otherwise. One needs to understand a lot of visuals are heavily influenced by the director’s vision as well.
Also, Chota delivered superb work for Chiranjeevi in movies like ‘Master’, ‘Choodalani VUndi’, ‘Annayya’, ‘Daddy’, ‘Tagore’ and ‘Anji’. Since #Mega156 was a big movie with a high budget they expected someone like ‘Ratnavelu’, Senthil, Nirav Shah and Manoj Paramahamsa. With the director and the rest of the crew trusting Chota K Naidu, let us see how the visuals turn out to be.
