Ram Charan’s Peddi On Track for March 27 Release

Share

Superstar Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has been the subject of repeated rumors about potential delays, but the team insists that the movie is on track for its March 27th release. Director Buchibabu Sana and the crew are reportedly working well ahead of schedule, ensuring there is no disruption to the release plan.

According to industry sources, most of the shooting has already been completed, and the editing process is also wrapped up. The director has finalized the first half of the film and sent it to composer A.R. Rahman to begin re-recording the background score. Once Rahman completes his work, final touch-ups will be added. Meanwhile, VFX, color grading, and other post-production work are already underway for certain sequences. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure the film releases as planned.

Featuring Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, Peddi has already created waves with its first single, “Chikri,” which has become a chartbuster. The second single is currently in the works and is expected to generate similar excitement.

With meticulous planning and advanced post-production work, the film is shaping up to be a major hit for Ram Charan this year.

AR Murugadoss Struggles to Land Big Telugu Projects

Share

Back in the days of Ghajini and Stalin, A.R. Murugadoss was one of the most sought-after directors in Telugu cinema and Kollywood, with big stars lining up to work with him. However, recent developments suggest that the celebrated filmmaker might be experiencing a slowdown in his career.

After watching the mixed responses to Salman Khan’s Sikander and Sivakarthikeyan’s Madhrasi, many industry insiders feel that Murugadoss is not commanding the same box office pull as before. Reports indicate that he has been trying to secure dates with top Telugu stars, including Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, but these projects have failed to materialize. Despite backing from major production houses, Murugadoss’ scripts reportedly failed to excite the actors, leading to polite declines.

The latest buzz from Kollywood reveals that Murugadoss recently narrated a story to Tamil star Simbhu, who is currently facing his own box office challenges. However, Simbhu is busy with Vetrimaran’s upcoming film and another project. He may consider Murugadoss’ film only after completing these commitments.

Meanwhile, Murugadoss is reportedly producing two smaller films, following the pattern of projects like Raja Rani, Akira, and Rangoon, indicating his continued interest in backing fresh ventures despite the hurdles in his directorial career.

Nidhhi Agerwal Opens Up About Kids and Sister Bond

Share

Star heroine Nidhhi Agerwal, who made a splashy Bollywood debut before moving to Tollywood, has been part of several big films, including Hari Hara Veeramallu and The Raja Saab. She continues to stay in the spotlight through interviews and promotions, sharing candid and personal insights about her life.

In a recent podcast interview, Nidhhi revealed her love for children and her dream of having four kids once she gets married. “I love kids and always think about them. At one point, I even considered adopting a couple of children, like Sushmita Sen, but my busy schedule wouldn’t allow me to dedicate the time they deserve. That’s why I dropped the idea,” she said.

Nidhhi also shared her close bond with her younger sister, who is seven years her junior. “After I was born, my parents never thought of having another child. But I wrote a letter to God and placed it in the Pooja room, and later I was blessed with a younger sister. I take care of her like my own daughter,” she added.

Born in Hyderabad and raised in Bengaluru, Nidhhi made her film debut in Mumbai in 2017. While she primarily works in Telugu and Tamil films now, she keeps her Mumbai base busy with ads, modeling assignments, and film projects, ensuring a consistent presence in the industry.

Nidhhi’s candid reflections on family and future plans have resonated with fans, adding a personal touch to her public persona and highlighting her grounded nature despite her growing fame.

Homebound Misses Final Five at Oscars 2026

Share

India’s long-standing dream of winning the prestigious Oscars’ “Black Lady” has suffered another setback. Just ahead of the final stage of nominations for the 2026 Academy Awards, India’s lone contender Homebound failed to make it into the final five in the Best International Feature Film category, which was officially announced by the Academy a short while ago.

Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and produced by Dharma Productions, Homebound starred Vishal Jethwa and Ishaan Khatter in lead roles. The film was India’s official submission this year and had generated considerable optimism after advancing to the top 15 shortlist. This marked a rare moment of hope for Indian cinema, as Homebound became the first Indian film since Aamir Khan’s Lagaan to reach this advanced stage in the category formerly known as Best Foreign Language Film.

However, the journey ended just before the final lap. The Academy ultimately shortlisted five films: The Secret Agent (Brazil), It Was Just an Accident (France), Sentimental Value (Norway), Sirat (Spain), and The Voice of Hind Rajab (Tunisia), leaving Homebound out of the race.

Homebound is inspired by a New York Times article and follows the story of two childhood friends, Shoaib and Chandan, played by Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa. Set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the film explores their struggle to crack the national police examination, driven by the belief that a government job would earn them dignity, respect, and social recognition.

While Indian cinema has tasted Oscar glory in recent years — with SS Rajamouli’s RRR winning Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu” in 2023 and The Elephant Whisperers bagging Best Documentary Short in the same year — the wait for a Best Film or Best International Feature Film win continues. No Indian film has yet achieved that milestone.

The final winners of the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. For Indian film lovers, the painful wait for history to be made goes on.

Davos Speech Revives Chandrababu’s Self-Credit Controversy

Share

Chandrababu Naidu appears to be repeating his familiar self-boasting narrative even at the Davos summit. In his latest remarks, he claimed that he is the primary reason many Telugu people are working in Europe. This statement has once again triggered criticism and ridicule online.

Earlier too, Naidu had made sweeping claims that he single-handedly built Hyderabad, developed Hitech City, constructed the international airport, and laid major roads. However, several leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, have already clarified on public platforms that most of these developments took place during Congress rule and were not exclusive contributions of Chandrababu Naidu.

Despite repeated fact-checks and counter-arguments, Naidu continues with unchecked self-praise. Critics feel he believes that neither party cadres nor friendly media can sell exaggerated narratives as effectively as he can himself. As a result, he keeps pushing grand claims, which are increasingly being viewed as tiring and irritating rather than impressive.

On social media, people are now openly questioning his statements. Many argue that it was their parents’ sacrifices, hard work, and personal merit — not any politician — that enabled them to study, work, and settle in Europe. History clearly shows that Telugu engineers went abroad due to their talent, education, and perseverance, not because of political patronage.

It is also pointed out that even before state bifurcation, many students studied outside Andhra Pradesh because of the limited number of quality engineering colleges. Ironically, during Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure, a large number of sub-standard private engineering colleges were permitted, leading to a decline in education quality and leaving many graduates jobless.

As a senior politician with decades of experience and a national-level image, Chandrababu Naidu is expected to act with restraint. Political observers believe that if he continues to take excessive and questionable credit, public amusement could soon turn into reputational damage.

Adivi Sesh, Naveen & Siddhu: Three Creators, Three Paths

Share

Sesh, Naveen Polishetty, and Siddhu Jonnalagadda stand out among the current generation of Telugu heroes. They are not just performers but complete creative contributors who actively involve themselves in story development, screenplay, dialogues, and overall execution. In many of their films, the director’s role often feels secondary, though all three actors consistently credit the director publicly.

Adivi Sesh is widely respected as an actor-creator who prioritizes content over conventional heroism. Even when heroic moments are present, they are well within the tone and genre of the film. One of his biggest strengths is his professionalism with producers. He keeps budgets under control, avoids unnecessary or ego-driven expenses, and clearly understands what a film truly requires. He values producer feedback, is not rigid in his opinions, and maintains a collaborative approach. This cost-conscious and respectful attitude is why producers are always comfortable working with him repeatedly.

Siddhu Jonnalagadda, on the other hand, took a different route after the blockbuster success of DJ Tillu. He strongly believed that audiences wanted to see him only in that specific style. As a result, he continued with similar dialogue delivery, extended monologues, and a dominant personal mannerism, often at the cost of narrative depth. His repeated focus on romance and youth-centric appeal has begun to feel repetitive. Additionally, signing multiple films in a short span affected script refinement, leading to a series of setbacks. Among the three, Siddhu is currently facing the most struggles. His off-screen womanizer image—whether driven by film roles or gossip—has also influenced public perception. However, a positive factor is that Siddhu does not interfere with production costs and leaves financial decisions entirely to producers while ensuring output quality. This makes producers still open to collaborating with him.

Naveen Polishetty follows a completely different creative philosophy. He aims to entertain a broader audience rather than limiting himself to youth-centric storytelling. He takes considerable time to write and refine scripts, which explains the long gaps between his films. Naveen is extremely firm about his creative choices and is least concerned about production costs. He rarely compromises on what he believes is right, making the filmmaking process challenging for producers and technicians alike. While his films usually end up profitable, the journey itself is often stressful, leaving producers feeling creatively sidelined. This is why many of the same producers hesitate to work with him again, even though his track record remains clean. Still, new producers continue to line up for him, drawn by his credibility and consistent success rate.

Rashmika’s Role Gets Bigger in Pushpa 3

Share

With Rashmika Mandanna’s popularity soaring across the country, Pushpa franchise director Sukumar has reportedly decided to significantly expand her role in the third installment of the blockbuster series.

According to industry sources, the decision was taken some time ago and reflects the steady evolution of her character across the franchise. “If one closely observes, Rashmika’s role in Pushpa: The Rule was already more substantial than in Pushpa: The Rise. Now, with her growing pan-India appeal in both Telugu and Hindi markets—especially after her impressive performance in Rahul Ravindran’s The Girlfriend—her screen space in Pushpa 3 has increased considerably,” a source revealed.

The source further added that in Pushpa 3, Rashmika’s character will be on par with Allu Arjun’s, making her role one of the central pillars of the narrative rather than a supporting presence.

This development is expected to add greater emotional depth and balance to the third part, while also capitalising on Rashmika Mandanna’s strong fan base and rising stature as a pan-Indian star.

Nara Lokesh Meets Telangana CM Revanth Reddy at Davos

Share

The delegations representing the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments, led by N. Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy respectively, arrived in Davos earlier and have been actively engaging with global business leaders at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) Summit.

Amid expectations of a possible interaction between Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy, a pleasantly surprising meeting took place instead. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the sidelines of the summit.

According to reports, Lokesh called on Revanth Reddy earlier today, and the two leaders shared a brief but warm interaction. On the occasion, Revanth Reddy felicitated the Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, with both leaders seen exchanging smiles and engaging in cordial conversation.

Visually, the contrast in their styles also caught attention—while Nara Lokesh appeared in a formal and sophisticated Nehru jacket, Revanth Reddy opted for a more casual yet suave look in a T-shirt. The interaction reflected a positive and relaxed atmosphere, signalling cordial ties between the two leaders despite representing neighbouring states.

The meeting has drawn interest in political and business circles, highlighting cooperation and goodwill at a global platform like Davos.

Border 2 Banned in Gulf Ahead of Release

Share

Border 2, one of the highly anticipated Hindi films, is all set for a grand release tomorrow. However, ahead of its release, reports have emerged that the film has been banned in several Gulf countries.

Following the recent ban on Dhurandhar, another Bollywood biggie is facing similar restrictions. According to sources, Border 2 will not be released in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Movies perceived as having “anti-Pakistan” content typically face restrictions in this region. Despite the filmmakers’ attempts to secure a release in the Gulf, the results were unsatisfactory.

This ban is expected to impact the film’s overseas box-office collections, as Bollywood movies usually perform strongly in the Gulf. The setback could affect revenue, especially since Dhurandhar reportedly lost close to ₹90 crore in the Gulf alone.

Despite this challenge, anticipation for Border 2 remains high in India. The film revolves around young Indian fighters defending their homeland during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, promising action-packed sequences and patriotic themes.

Anil Ravipudi Plans Story-First Film, Eyes Pawan Kalyan Collaboration

Share

Director Anil Ravipudi, known for completing film shoots in record time, has made Sankranthi a lucky season for his new releases. Over the past few years, he has consistently delivered hit movies, and this year was no exception with “Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu”, which emerged as a Sankranthi success.

Following this success, there have been reports of a potential collaboration between Anil Ravipudi and Pawan Kalyan. However, the director recently clarified his approach and plans regarding the project.

Unlike many filmmakers who adapt scripts to suit actors, Anil Ravipudi follows a “Story First, Hero Next” approach. For his upcoming project, he has already finalized the storyline and will select the actor once the script is locked. Speaking about a film with Pawan Kalyan, Anil revealed that he would be thrilled to work with the actor, provided Pawan’s dates are available. The story is ready, and the director plans to move forward based on the actor’s schedule.

Anil is aiming to start filming in June or July this year, with a grand release planned for Sankranthi 2027. Despite Pawan Kalyan currently being selective with his projects, Anil is confident that a collaboration could be completed quickly and deliver another blockbuster, meeting fan expectations.

సుస్మిత కొణిదెల: గోల్డ్ బాక్స్‌తో సొంత గుర్తింపు సాధించిన ప్రొడ్యూసర్

Share
