Samantha’s Good Friend Picks Rashmika For His Next!
Actor turned filmmaker Rahul Ravindran made a very impressive debut with ‘Chi La Sow’. This movie featuring Ruhani Sharma and Sushanth received a lot of critical acclaim and Rahul even won the National Award for its original screenplay. Looking at his talent, Nagarjuna gave him a chance and they made ‘Manmadhudu 2’ together. This movie turned out to be a disaster and people wondered if this was the same guy who made ‘Chi La Sow’.
Sources say that he prepared a fresh script by taking his time and Rahul is said to have narrated it to Rashmika Mandanna. The ‘Pushpa’ actress was reportedly impressed by the narration and Bunny Vas will be bankrolling it under the Geetha Arts banner if everything falls in place. Insiders say that the project is almost confirmed and the official announcement will be arriving soon.
As per reports, Samantha was the first choice for Rahul as they are good friends but the star heroine’s health issues and the necessity to take a break from movies for the next couple of months made the ‘Andala Rakshasi’ hero look elsewhere. Rashmika is currently working on ‘Animal’ and ‘Pushpa’ right now and is also doing a heroine-oriented film titled ‘Butterfly Fly’. Let us see how things turn out in the coming days.

Mega Fans Blaming Shankar For Everything!
Legendary filmmaker Shankar Shanmugam is known for taking his time when making movies. His films are made on massive budgets and he is famous for keeping the storyline a secret without revealing much. While it is good for the film, fans who constantly frustrate the production houses for updates are finding this secrecy annoying.
As we know, he is working with Ram Charan on a political drama titled ‘Game Changer’. Barring the title, the makers did not reveal anything which is frustrating the fans as it has been more than 18 months since ‘RRR’ came out. Also, Shankar working on ‘Indian 2’ and ‘Game Changer’ simultaneously is making the fans quite unhappy. Many blame him for all the delays ‘Game Changer’ is going through.
Though he is not the only reason, Mega fans are blaming him for everything. Recently, a schedule was supposed to start in Hyderabad but was postponed as Charan made a minor injury and reportedly expressed his inability to take part in the production. Mega fans are blaming Shankar for this too. While it is true that Shankar is taking more time for shooting than everyone expected, Charan too delayed the shootings at times for ‘RRR’ promotional tours abroad, his childbirth and for other reasons.
As per reports, the new schedule will start from 6th October and Shankar is aiming to release this film in the summer of 2024. Dil Raju is the producer while Thaman is the music composer. Kiara Advani is the heroine while SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Anjali, Sunil and others are acting in this pan-Indian movie.
‘800’ will be a memory of a lifetime: Sivalenka Krishna Prasad
Former Sri Lankan cricketing great Muthiah Muralidaran’s biopic ‘800’ will arrive at the cinemas on October 6th. Starring Madhur Mittal of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame as the protagonist, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi across India by Sridevi Movies’ Sivalenka Krishna Prasad, who today said that releasing the film across languages will be a memory he will cherish for a lifetime.
The film’s pre-release event today saw chief guest VVS Laxman and Muralidaran revealing how much they admire each other. They have been thick friends for many years and were colleagues at the IPL team SRH at one point in time.
Muralidaran recalled that Laxman’s brilliant knock in 1998 stunned him. “I wondered why he was not already a part of the Indian squad. I think I got him out only once. That was in Delhi. The ball was so low and he got out. In Sri Lanka, I couldn’t get him out at all. He has been a great friend,” Muralidaran said.
Actor Madhur Mittal suggested that an accident many years ago left him injured. It’s a coincidence that Muralidaran’s bowling action used to be different due to an elbow injury. It’s fitting that Madhur has played the spin bowler.
Mahima Nambiar plays Madhimalar Ramamurthy, the former cricketer’s wife, in this film. Directed by MS Sripathy, the film also features Naren, Nassar, Vela Ramamoorthy, Riythvika, Vadivukkarasi, Arul Das, Hari Krishnan, and Sarath Lohithaswa. Ghibran has composed the music.

Atlee’s Over The Top Comments Leading To Heavy Trolling!
Atlee is a very good filmmaker who has a perfect grip on the craft. He knows his audience and delivers what they want. He is a self-proclaimed mass commercial director who enjoys doing fan service and giving huge elevations to heroes. He is known for packaging his movies very well and present his movies in a very convincing manner.
He often faces complaints about being very basic, stuffing too many elements and his scenes resembling a lot of other South Indian films. Despite all his flaws, his movies are known to please everyone and ended up as blockbusters till now. His recent outing ‘Jawan’ is racing towards 1000 crores and created a sensation in Bollywood. He is receiving a lot of praise though he faced the same complaints once again. But it looks like Atlee is getting a little carried away in the interviews lately.
The ‘Bigil’ director said that he might send ‘Jawan’ to the Oscars and will talk to SRK about it. During his chat with Anupama Chopra, he revealed that Hollywood makers gave an offer for him to collaborate in the future after looking at the chase sequence of ‘Jawan’ in the second half. While the scene definitely drew whistles and cheers in theatres, one cannot deny that it is over-the-top with zero logic. While we enjoyed them wholeheartedly, even SRK’s fans would not say that it impressed Hollywood makers or had a chance of winning the Oscars.
It looks like Atlee needs to calm himself a bit and stop becoming a troll material. He revealed that he is going to take four months off as he wants to spend time with his newborn. Let us see if he cools himself down and make crowd-pleasing cinema without making these statements once again or not.
