It’s Official: Sai Pallavi Onboard For Crazy Project #NC23!
Sai Pallavi is a very rare actress who prefers to do a character she likes over the crores of money offered to her. It has been around two years since we saw Sai Pallavi on the big screen. Despite getting offered crores from directors and producers, the ‘Fidaa’ actress doesn’t want to play regular roles and she doesn’t even consider the number game.
The only film she accepted is the period drama featuring Siva Karthikeyan as the hero. She has finally accepted a new film in Telugu and it is none other than #NC23. The makers released a video teasing the audience about the heroine and many predicted it is Sai Pallavi already. Now, the team have officially released the pictures of Sai Pallavi with the core team members of the movie.
We can see her clicks with director Chandoo Mondeti, hero Naga Chaitanya, producer Bunny Vas and presenter Allu Aravind. Sai Pallavi coming onboard is a huge benefit for the team and we can predict that her role is going to be very important. Chandoo Mondeti is leaving no stone unturned to give a wonderful experience to the audience through this ambitious project.
The combination of Chaitanya & Sai Pallavi gave a hit like ‘Love Story’ and let us see how their pair will look in this interesting drama.
Talking about the film, director Chandoo Mondeti said, “Our pre-production begins now after coming to this village and observing every minute detail. A local guy named Karthik prepared a story based on a real incident that happened in 2018. He initially told the story to Aravind Garu and Bunny Vas Garu. I got excited when I heard the story. We’ve been working on the script for the last 2 years. The script is ready now and it has come out well.”
Naga Chaitanya is showing his special interest in the project by taking part in the pre-production works. More updates will be coming out soon.
Jam Packed Dusshera Causing Theatre Problems!
Festive seasons are considered heavy money spinners for the film industry. After Sankranti, Dusshera festive season is the second biggest time period for movie releases as kids are given holdays for more than a week and a lot of families will be trying to have a good time together. With movies being the best medium for entertainment, a lot of filmmakers try to use this festive season to their advantage.
But the problem arises when there are too many films arriving at the same time. No matter how big the festive season is, the heavy traffic always causes problems. This year, we will be seeing 9 releases in just two days. This is causing huge problems for distributors and exhibitors. They are unable to allocate a good number of theatres to each and every film.
Thalapathy Vijay is going to arrive on 19th October and it is the biggest release of the lot. The entire theatres in Tamil Nadu will be given to this crazy project but the problem arises in other states as the buyers have bought the theatrical rights for fancy rates but the huge competition may not allow ‘Leo’ to have a big release in Telugu states and Karnataka.
Balakrishna will be arriving with ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ and Ravi Teja will be hitting the screens with ‘Tiger Nageswar Rao’. Tiger Shroff’s ‘Ganapath’ is releasing during the same period and ‘Saptha Samuralu Dhaati Side B’ will also be hitting the screens on 20th October. The other releases include ‘Ghost’, ‘Tejas’, ‘Yaariyan 2’ and ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’. The problem is not just confined to single screens but multiplexes will also find it tough to allot a good number of shows to all these films which are releasing on 19th and 20th October.
Experts are suggesting that the whole situation can be avoided if a couple of films are preponed to 13th as Navarathri begins from 15th October. But with every producer and director eyeing the festival week, it is proving to be a huge headache for the theatre owners and exhibitors. With still a month left, let us wait and see what happens in the next 2-3 weeks.
Harish Shankar Asks A Fan To Focus On His Career Instead!
We all know that Harish Shankar is a huge fan of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. He showed his fanism with ‘Gabbar Singh’ back in 2012. Harish Shankar presented Pawan Kalyan in the most energetic, entertaining and heroic way possible. After a gap of 11 years, they are working together on a project called ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’.
The glimpse and posters that came out till date got a very good response. There are a lot of reports coming out regarding ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ and Pawan is juggling a lot between movies and politics these days. When the rumor came out that around 50% of the shooting has been completed, a fan tweeted to Harish saying that the quality of this project rests of god’s shoulders implying that the team is not focused on quality and is looking to wrap up the film on time.
Harish Shankar decided to give a sarcastic reply as he said to that netizen, “Yes brother! What can you do except for trusting the god? In the meantime, focus on your career, job and studies. Please don’t leave them at the mercy of god… All the Best !!” This reply shocked everyone as they were not expecting the hit director to give a counter. As we know, only the director knows about the film’s output and one cannot simply go around making assumptions and blurting it out on public platforms.

Court Shocks Navdeep In Drug Case Row?
It is known that the drugs case is in the news again with the recent drug bust. The case was busted by the authorities after a raid. The raids were conducted by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) last week and seized a few banned substances.
Actor Navdeep’s name popped up in connection with the case. Now it is said that the actor faced a big blow in the case. The Narcotics department reportedly moved the High Court with a petition seeking directives to cancel his bail citing his alleged links with other accused.
Now the case saw a sensational development. Media reports say that the High Court disposed of the petition filed by the actor and allowed the concerned authorities to question him by serving notices. Having said that, the High Court directed the actor to attend the questioning session.
With the High Court disposing of his petition, the actor should attend the questioning session and we have to wait and see what evidence they can get from the actor and what more twists the case will see.
When the issue hit the headlines, the cops took the name of Navdeep but did not clarify whether it was the actor or not. However, Navdeep cleared the airs and said that he had nothing to do with this. Despite this, he reportedly filed a petition to get bail.
Now it is said that the petition he filed earlier was disposed of and the High Court directed him to attend the questioning session. A few days back, his residence is said to have been raided.

Superstar Mahesh Babu and Mega Power Star Ram Charan share a great rapport with each other. We have seen pictures of them together off the screen on multiple occasions. Ram Charan completed working with Rajamouli last year and gained global recognition with ‘RRR’. He is working on Shankar’s high-budget political drama titled ‘Game Changer’. Dil Raju is producing it while Kiara Advani is the heroine. There are massive expectations on this flick which is expected to release during the summer of 2024.
‘Kumari Srimathi’ Teaser: Effortless Acting From Nithya Menen!
As we know, ‘Swapna Cinema’ banner is making a comedy-drama series titled ‘Kumari Srimathi’ for Amazon Prime Video. Nithya Menen is playing the lead role and it will be streaming from 28th September. Srinivas Avasarala has written and created this series while Gomtesh Upadhye has directed it.
The motion poster which came out a few days back created a very good impression on this project and the makers released a teaser giving us a clear picture of the lead character. Keerthy Suresh launched the teaser and this series with a rural backdrop is surely going to have a lot of relatable and entertaining moments.
With a unique and empowering story, Kumari Srimathi shows the challenges faced by a strongminded woman in a comic way. Going by the teaser, the drama in Srimathi’s life is demonstrated in a lighter vein. Nithya Menen is quite effortless with her acting and she did an impeccable job portraying a strong woman with sturdiness.
Nithya Menen will be seen as an independent and fearless woman who wants to live on her own terms and not succumb to societal pressure. Mohan Krishna is taking care of cinematography. Kamran and Staccato are giving the music. It will be released in four languages and will have 7 episodes. Each one will have a runtime of around 40 minutes. Latha Naidu is the production designer, while Srujana Adusumilli is the editor and Chandu Nimmagadda is the executive producer.
Rs 4 lakh crore business this festive season in India
The festive season has just started and the trade circles expect a booming business this season. The total purchases this festive season, which begins with Ganesh pooja and ends with Diwali is likely to be more than Rs 4 lakh crore. This is 25 per cent more than last year’s sales.
According to Redseer Strategy Consultants, at least 140 million Indians are likely to make at least one purchase online during this festive season. Thus the online trade would be around Rs 90000 crore. Incidentally, this is the 10th year of the launch of online sales in the Indian market.
According to Redseer, the Indian economy this year has gotten over the turbulence caused by the Covid 19 years. The Redseer also predicted that changing lifestyles and financial felicity have brought in changes in the purchase patterns of the Indian buyers. It says that Beauty and personal care (BPC), home and general merchandise, and fashion are likely to rise further.
The sale of electronic goods is also likely to go up this festive season. The Redseer also predicts a robust growth across city tiers this festive season. It says that the sales will go up considerably in Tier 2 and 3 cities also . The consultancy also says that the buyers want novel consumer experiences.
ANR Lives On: An Exceptional Pioneer In Telugu Cinema!
The word ‘Legend’ is being used too often on the internet these days. The word carries a lot of weight and there are only a few who can justify the term ‘Legend’. Late Akkineni Nageswara Rao is one such legendary personality who left a lasting impact on Telugu cinema. Born in Madras in 1923, the great actor passed away in 2014. In these 90 years, he created a legacy for himself that it untouchable and stood as one of the main pillars of Telugu cinema.
He played a pivotal role in bringing the Telugu film industry to Hyderabad in the 70s and sowed the seeds of the tree from which everyone are reaping the benefits. Over his 75-year career, he did numerous landmark films and did remarkable roles that stood as reference points in acting even today. He won seven Nandi Awards and five Filmfare Awards in his time. He is the recipient of Dada Saheb Phake Award and was given Padma Vibhushan which is India’s second highest civilian award by the government.
Nageswar Rao started his acting career at the age of 10. He worked in a theatre and then became a stage actor where he was famous for playing female characters. His filmography speaks for itself as he played versatile roles throughout his career. Whether it is a love story or family film or mythology or biographical drama or fantasy, Nageswara Rao delivered every time and proved himself as one of the greatest actors ever to do it on the big screen. He established Annapurna Studios in 1976 and most of the movie shootings happen there even today. Not just that but he started Annapurna International School of Film and Media in 2011. He is a man that paved way for many people and did a lot of social service too.
On his 100th birthday anniversary, his son Akkineni Nagarjuna and his entire family have organized grand celebrations where former Vice-President Sri Venkaiyya Naidu unveiled a statue of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. These centenary celebrations are being attended by every prominent face in the Telugu film industry as it is their way of showing gratitude to the person who created an empire upon which Tollywood is flourishing right now. His name is etched in history forever and ANR truly lives on.
