It is superstar Mahesh Babu’s 48th birthday and fans are celebrating it in a grand manner. He is one of the biggest superstars in India and one can confidently say that he never ages. He converted his minuses into pluses and is continuing his journey as the unparalleled superstar of Telugu cinema. Mahesh was born on 9th August, 1975. His dad superstar Krishna has already completed 100 films by them and is at the top of his game. At the age of 6, Mahesh went to Vijayawada with his brother Ramesh. His elder brother is working on a movie named ‘Needa’ under Dasari’s direction. The legendary director made Mahesh act in a key role that the 6-year-old had no idea about. Without his knowledge, Mahesh made his silver screen debut as a child actor. He worked alongside his father Krishna in ‘Poratam’.

Mahesh used to act in movies whenever there are holidays for school. In this way, he did movies like ‘Bazaar Rowdy’, ‘Mugguru Kodukulu’, ‘Goodachari 117’ and ‘Koduku Diddina Kapuram’. With Mahesh’s studies getting affected, Krishna decided to keep him away from movies till he reaches a certain age. Mahesh did not get good marks in tenth which is why he couldn’t get into his desired Loyola College.

He studied hard and got a degree seat in Loyola and got a B.Com degree. He was pulled into films once again during his college days. He expressed his wish to Krishna and the superstar okayed it immediately. In this way, he entered as a hero with ‘Rajakumarudu’ which was directed by K Raghavendar Rao and produced by Ashwini Dutt.

Mahesh is the only hero in Tollywood who did not act in a single remake movie till date. Despite getting a lot of offers from Bollywood, he kept on rejecting them. Mahesh entered the production business too. Apart from funding his own movies, he made ‘Major’ with Adivi Sesh which was a huge hit. Mahesh’s favourite director is Mani Ratnam. He revealed it many times and wants to work with him. Though there were talks between them before, things didn’t materialize.

Mahesh is known for his slow pace when it comes to making films and he gives utmost importance to his family. He got 8 Nandi awards for the 27 films he did. He had many super hits, blockbusters and industry hits. But he never hesitated to experiment.
