Mega Daughters to compete with each other!
It is likely that we are going to see a stiff competition from two members of a same family. We are talking about a healthy competion and it is between two mega daughters Niharika and Sushmitha.
These ladies established production companies and are said to be lining up several crazy projects. Earlier, Niharika produced several short films and web series under ‘Pink Elephant Pictures’. She is now getting ready to produce web series and other content for OTT platforms. On the other hand, Sushmitha who already produced ‘Sridevi Sobhan Babu’ and few web series under ‘Golden Box Entertainments’ is also in talks with multiple projects.

Jr NTR Instilled NTR’s Statue In Nimmakur: Kodali Nani!
The Andhra Pradesh politics are seeing a fight between TDP and Kodali Nani. The other day Nandamuri Ramakrishna, son of senior NTR lashed out at Nani and asked him to remember that the Nandamuri family gave him the political change and he cheated the family.
Now it’s the turn of Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu to target Kodali Nani. During his road show in Gudivada and Nimmakuru, the birthplace of NTR, Babu breathed fire on the ruling party and Kodali Nani. He also showered massive praises on his father-in-law NTR.
Firebrand political Kodali Nani hit back at Chandrababu Naidu and said that he has no right to talk about NTR as he did nothing. He asked what he did for NTR and Nimmakuru when Chandrababu Naidu was in power in the state.
In his response, Kodali Nani made some serious comments. The former Minister said that it was Junior NTR who instilled the statue of NTR and his wife Basavatarakam in Nimamakuru which cost around 60 lakhs. While Jr NTR spent 40 lakhs, he spent 20 lakhs. An event was held in Nimmakauru he maintained.
The Gudivada MLA went on to say that when Nandamuri Harikrishna was the MP, he allocated Rs 12 crores for Nimmakuru, and Chandrababu Naidu did nothing to the village, which is the birthplace of NTR.
Kodali Nani’s comments came when Chandrababu Naidu is invoking NTR’s name to increase the political image of the party. What Kodali Nani said about Chandrababu Naidu, Harikrishna, and Junior NTR raised many eyeballs.
New Pandemic In 10 Years..?
People with basic education have an idea of how dangerous a virus is. But it was the Coronavirus or the Covid pandemic that made everyone familiar with the power of the virus. It said that there is a chance of another pandemic coming out in 10 years and the virus would be as effective as Covid. There is a chance of witnessing another pandemic.
There is a possibility of around 27.5 percent for the pandemic to come. They are giving changes in climate and population increase as reasons for the birth of diseases that can spread to humans from animals. The research found that we can stop the pandemic if an effective vaccine is found within 100 days.
Airfinity said that if viruses like Bird flu which can spread from one person to another comes out, there is a threat that around 15,000 people would pass away in the UK alone daily. Due to a few viruses, we have seen many falling ill and passing away. Recently, the H5N1 bird flu virus stain is raising a few concerns.
However, there is a big relief as there is no data on transmission between humans. But it is a concern that the viruses are spreading rapidly in birds and they are also spreading to mammals. If the same continues, then the viruses can emerge as fast-spreading viruses. The experts say that it is very tough to find out the seriousness of the new viruses given the existing practices. So governments should be alert to face Covid like pandemics.
Wrong Step From Samantha!
For the first time in her career, star actress Samantha experimented big time with ‘Shaakunthalam’. She is known for a style of acting and did contemporary films for most part of her career. Her only period movie was ‘Rangasthalam’ which was set in the 80s. She attempted the mythological genre for the first time through ‘Shaakunthalam’ which is directed by Gunasekhar.
It has hit the screens finally and the special shows and premieres started two days back. People who watched the movie claim that it is not up to the mark. Many felt that ‘Shaakunthalam’ had warning signs right from the moment it was announced.
Gunasekhar is a very good director but he has been out of form right from ‘Varudu’ which arrived back in 2010. The way he made ‘Shaakunthalam’ left everyone disappointed. He failed to showcase the story of ‘Abhignana Shaakunthalam’ written by Kalidasu in an interesting manner. Fans of Samantha expected that this movie may take her to the next level but they are wondering why she accepted this flick in the first place.
A lot of people are claiming that Samantha took a wrong decision by picking up the ‘Shaakunthalam’ project. The team failed to create a positive buzz on the film through its teasers and trailer. They promoted the film quite aggressively but all that went in vain as there is a lack of any substance in the movie. ‘Shaakunthalam’ can be termed as a failed attempt by Gunasekhar. Experts state that the ‘Okkadu’ director should have concentrated more on the visuals and graphics in order to produce better quality content.
After scoring success through lady-oriented films like ‘Oh Baby!’ and ‘Yashoda’, a lot of the audience expected Samantha to repeat the same result with ‘Shaakunthalam’ as well. But the trade reports suggest that the movie may end up as a failure both on the critical and commercial front. Currently, Samantha is working on a romantic entertainer titled ‘Khushi’ and it has Vijay Deverakonda playing the male lead.
Ram Charan to start new film after turning father
Ram Charan and Upasana had announced that they are turning parents soon. The couple has now started on their road to pregnancy as they are in consultation with some of the finest doctors around and Upasana is also on a special diet.
Coming to the topic, Ram Charan is set to start his new film with Buchi Babu Sana after he turns father. Upasana will be giving birth to her first child in June or July this year. This will be a special moment for the couple as they are turning parents for the first time.

Meet ‘The God’: Dino Morea’s Menacing Role in ‘Agent’
The upcoming Pan India project “Agent” starring Akhil Akkineni and directed by Surender Reddy promises to be a high-octane action thriller. The film will feature the protagonist performing daring stunts that are sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats.
Adding to the excitement, the makers have brought on board the talented model-turned-actor Dino Morea for a crucial role.

How Did Ravi Babu’s ‘Asalu’ Turn Out?
Actor and director Ravi Babu has not been seen on the screen in recent times. His comedy timing as an actor is quite good and he has delivered some amazing movies like ‘Allari’, ‘Party’, ‘Anasuya’, and ‘Amaravathi’ as a director. He constantly experiments with his movies and though they backfired a lot in recent times, he is regarded as one of the finest technicians around. He took some time off after the demise of his father Chalapathi Rao.
He is back again with a crime thriller titled ‘Asalu’ and it is streaming on ETV Win from today. This time, Ravi Babu gave the directorial responsibilities to Uday-Naresh while he took care of the story, dialogues, production and supervision along with playing the lead. With an impressive trailer, the movie generated decent buzz.
Going into the story, a Forensic expert Chakravarthy (Surya) gets murdered while giving an online class through Zoom. CID officer Ranjit Rao (Ravi Babu) enters the scene to investigate this case and suspects four people. Vandana (Poorna) who worked as an assistant to Chakravarthy is shattered after knowing about his death. The truths come out as the investigation goes on and when things get a bit dicey for Rajit Rao, Vandana goes to Guntur which leads to a big twist in the story. This leads to a lot of suspense and intrigue.
Ravi Babu took a lot of care to make sure that there is no lag in this movie which is just one hour and forty-two minutes long. Ravi Babu is decent as the hero and the crime element has been maintained well till the end. Though the logic is quite unbelievable at times, the screenplay is quite decent. The backdrop of the main plotline and the flashback should have been written in a more convincing manner. A lot of movies arrived with similar subjects before and it is why we need to keep our expectations in check before watching ‘Asalu’. The makers gave a twist at the end leaving the door open for the second part.
Senior Actress Compares Rain Shoots To Premeditated Murder!
The hardships of women in the film industry are quite different when compared to men. Women are judged in every step of the way and filmmakers usually don’t think of the women actors and their situation while planning a few scenes. Recently, senior actress Sobhana who is a National Award-winning actor and a Padma Shri recipient has revealed some of her experiences during the initial stages of her career as an actress.
During the interview with Mani Ratnam, she talked about filming a rain sequence for Rajnikanth’s ‘Shiva’ which came in 1989. She said, ‘They shot a rain sequence in Siva. They didn’t tell me about it, but I got to know about it by looking at the costume-a white transparent saree–I understood it was a rain song. I told (the costume guy) that I didn’t have anything to wear inside. When I asked if I can home and come prepared, he said the shot is in ten minutes. I think it (the rain song) was a premeditated murder. The victim alone will not know (laughs).’
The actress further added, ‘It was a big production, and I didn’t want to be responsible for the delay of the shoot. So, I took a plastic table cover which was there at AVM Studios and wrapped it around me inside the skirt and I was ready for the shot. During the shoot, Rajini sir had to lift me for a dance step, and the cover started making noise. I still remember his expression (he was confused). Thankfully, he didn’t tell anyone about it. He makes sure that everyone on the sets is comfortable.’
Talking about the iconic ‘Thalapathy’ with Mani Ratnam and Rajnikanth, she shared how Rajni was late on sets which bothered the legendary director. She told, ‘The shooting time was tough. Early mornings… Always, back then, between Rajini sir and Mani sir…tch… I remember even now when Mani sir said, ‘If 300 people can come at 3 am for the shot, why can’t one person?’ I was among the 300 who were on time. The film was taken on a large scale and was technically tough for that time. So, they made it for a long while.’
