Copying The Same Style Not Working For Huge Projects!

There was a time when the faction backdrop used to be a trend in Tollywood. One film became successful and every hero wanted to make films in the same pattern. It was so overused that it ran out of trend within a short time. After ‘Pokiri’, many directors tried to make movies with similar hero characterization but nothing proved successful. Even Puri Jagannadh himself failed to recreate the same magic.
After the phenomenal success of ‘Baahubali’ and ‘KGF’, the filmmakers are trying their best to recreate these movies. But imitation doesn’t result in success and filmmakers need to understand this. It is the content that needs to impress the audience but not the backdrop and budget.
Bollywood made movies like ‘Thugs Of Hindusthan’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, ‘Shamshera’, ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Padmavat’. All these are historical or fictional. The shades of ‘Baahubali’ is pretty much visible in all these films whether it is the tone or scenes or acting or story. Vijay made a fantasy movie named ‘Puli’ in Tamil which was a failure, Mohanlal’s ‘Marakkar’ did not impress the audience and Mani Ratnam’s ‘PS – 1’ was a failure in all languages barring Tamil Nadu.
Coming to ‘KGF’, filmmakers are trying to make the same movie that is working against them. Sundeep Kishan’s ‘Michael’ had a lot of similarities to ‘KGF’ in terms of story, elevations and other things. It ended up being a disaster. The recent release ‘Kabzaa’ starring Upendra and Shriya In the lead has a striking similarity to Prasanth Neel’s blockbuster and people are calling ‘Kabzaa’ a xerox copy of ‘KGF’.
While it is original the first time, the same pattern becomes monotonous when you do it again and again. The makers need to try something different like ‘Pushpa’ or ‘Kantara’ in order to impress the audience rather than trying to recreate an already hit film.
Unnecessary Comparison of #Suriya42 With ‘Baahubali’!

Ever since SS Rajamouli broke the shackles of regional markets and went pan-Indian with ‘Baahubali’ franchise, a lot of filmmakers are trying to do the same. Right from 2015 when the first part was released, a lot of directors and producers across the industries have tried their luck in making fantasy or historic movies. Tamil star hero Vijay made ‘Puli’ which was made on a grand budget and had big names like late Sridevi, Kicha Sudeep, Hansika Motwani, Shruti Hassan, Prabhu and others playing main roles. The movie ended up being a failure.
C Sundar announced a 500 crore project named ‘Sanghamitra’ and this multi-starrer was shelved immediately due to various reasons. Recently, ‘Ponniyin Selvan – 1’ was referred as Kollywood’s answer to ‘Baahubali’ but it did not get the expected result in any other language barring Tamil. Despite all of this, some Tamil producers are giving statements that they would come up with movies bigger than ‘Baahubali’. Producer KE Gnanavel Raja who is the owner of ‘Studio Green’ banner is making a period drama with star hero Suriya. It is being called as #Suriya42 for now and director Siva who made movies like ‘Vivegam’, ‘Veeram’, ‘Vedhalam’, ‘Viswasam’ and ‘Annatthe’ is directing this movie. The team is spending a lot of massive amount on this project and Suriya is doing five different roles.
Disha Patani is the heroine and they are planning to release the movie in 10 languages. Devi Sri Prasad is giving the music. The teaser is expected to be launched in April and the release date will also be announced then. While all this is good, claiming to be bigger than ‘Baahubali’ on multiple occasions is leading to unnecessary trolling. Suriya is known for his tremendous acting and it is without a doubt that he will give his everything for this movie. But speaking such things after the release will be more justifiable according to everyone.
Is Nani Drunk While Shooting For ‘Dasara’?

It is well known that Natural Star Nani is all set to arrive with his first pan-Indian film titled ‘Dasara’ on 30th March. A lot of people are expecting ‘Dasara’ to end up as the biggest blockbuster in Nani’s career. The star hero is very busy with promotions now and he is accompanied by the movie’s director, heroine and other cast members as well. The trailer and songs already got a very positive response from the audience.
his rustic rural drama has completed the censor formalities and it was given a ‘U/A’ certificate by the censor board. Also, the film’s length is 2 hours and 36 minutes long. During the promotions, the interviewer asked Nani about the news going around claiming that Nani had to take alcohol while filming a few scenes. Agreeing to this, Nani accepted that they shot a few key sequences and he had to take alcohol as the character demanded.
Nani added that the director asked to take alcohol before going for the shot and asked if he was okay with that. The ‘Gang Leader’ hero claimed that he had no qualms which is why he had a few drinks before the shooting. Apparently, the director wanted the hero’s eyes to look red and swollen. Also, he wanted a separate mannerism. To get all these right, the actor went for a methodical approach.
Keerthy Suresh is the heroine in this flick. Santosh Narayanan composed the music. Naveen Nooli is the editor while Sathyan Sooryan ISC is the director of photography. Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Dheekshith Shetty plays a key role in this movie while Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Zarina Wahab and others play key roles. The movie will be released worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Sudhakar Cherukuri has produced this film on a grand scale. Directed by Srikanth Oodela, the movie is set in the backdrop of Singareni coalfields.
What To Do For Naga Shaurya Now?

No matter how much talent you have, the luck needs to favour you. While all the heroes put in the same kind of effort, some of their careers are on an upward trajectory with back-to-back hits while some others are suffering with successive flops. A lot of young heroes are in the second category and Naga Shaurya is one of them. After ‘Chalo’ which was a big success in 2018, he is unable to find a hit. Movies like ‘Kanam’, ‘Ammammagarillu’, ‘Narthanasala’ and others have failed to impress the audience and ended up in losses.
Though ‘Oh! Baby’ was a hit, it was Samantha’s movie and all Naga Shaurya did was a special cameo. He worked in movies like ‘Ashwatthama’, ‘Varudu Kavalenu’, ‘Lakshya’ and ‘Krishna Vrinda Vihari’. Unfortunately, all of them failed at the box office. His recent outing ‘Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi’ too gained a flop talk. With non-stop flops, his career is at risk. But the young hero is not backing down at all. Two movies namely ‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’ and ‘Policu Vaari Hecharika’ are on sets right now.
Along with them, he began a project with ‘Dhamaka’ director Nakkina Trinadh Rao under his own banner ‘Ira Creations’. This is a very good combination and considering the director’s track record, he is expected to give much-needed success to Naga Shaurya. The young hero is in a struggling phase right now and he is eagerly waiting for a solid hit. He is taking more care these days when it comes to story selection and is trying out different genres. Hope he gets back on the hit track soon.

Kavitha Counters Allegations Of Destroying Phones In Style!

The Delhi Liquor Scam increased the political heat in Telangana after multiple searches were conducted in the state and Hyderabad-based Businessman Arun Ramachandra Pillai was arrested. On top of this, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) mentioned Kavitha’s name. She was grilled by the officers the other day for a few hours.
The BRS MLC appeared before the officers for the second consecutive day. She was accompanied by the party cadre when she headed to the office. Before going into the office, Kavitha displayed the phones which were alleged to have been destroyed by her. She held a few phones and showed them to the media.
Many say that the former MP might have hit back at the allegations the investigating agency shot at her. Earlier, the ED officers alleged that Kavitha used many mobile phones and destroyed them to tamper with the pieces of evidence.
In the report that was filed before the court, the ED said this. When the agency said that, the opposition parties started attacking her and BRS on the issue. But the allegations took a big turn with Kavitha hitting back at them by displaying the phones to the media. It appears that the mobiles he held would be around 10.
On top of this, Kavitha had written a letter to the ED. The letter was written to the Assistant Director of The Directorate of Enforcement in which she asked how the agency can make such allegations without even asking her. She alleged that the central agency behaved intentionally to defame her.
The experts say that Kavitha might have taken the legal opinion and then displayed the phones. The other day, the additional AG and her two lawyers went to the ED office in the national capital Delhi.
The BRS and Kalvakuntla Family have been alleging that Kavitha was framed in the case with political intentions and gains. As Kavitha is being grilled by the investigating agencies, the party might have decided to counter the allegations. Destroying phones is the major allegation against the BRS MLC Kavitha. By displaying the phones, Kavitha might want to hit back at the allegations that she destroyed phones.

The makers have already announced that the movie will have a pan-Indian released in multiple languages on 28th April. Though there is more than a month left for the release, many feel that there is not a lot of buzz on this movie for some reason.
Inside sources claim that all is not well between ‘Agent’ director Surender Reddy and its producer Anil Sunkara. Reports emerged that the producer is not happy with the stylish director crossing the budget limits and costing him heavily. Grapevine suggests that the estimated budget for this movie is 40 crores and Surender Reddy made him spend around 70 crores. South Stars Not Part Of SRK’s Upcoming ‘Jawaan’!

After a huge gap of 4 years, Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan came back to form with ‘Pathaan’. He moved away from the ‘Romance King’ image which made him the huge star he is today. He turned into complete action mode for ‘Pathaan’ and it impressed the audience big time. He rediscovered himself and changed his image which made him earn more than 1000 crores with this spy thriller at the box office.
Continuing the same pattern, he is all set to thrill the audience with an action entertainer titled ‘Jawan’. Tamil star director Atlee is directing this movie and the shooting is currently going at a brisk pace. There are reports that the release date has been postponed from June but the official confirmation is yet to come out. Nayanthara is the heroine in this project. Vijay Sethupathi is playing a key role while Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover and others are also a part of this movie. Sources say that Deepika Padukone and Thalapathy Vijay will be seen making guest appearances in this movie.
There was a lot of talk regarding Thalapathy Vijay and Icon Star Allu Arjun doing special cameos in this movie. Sources say that Allu Arjun wants to focus completely on ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ which is why he opted out of Atlee’s project and Vijay too did not take up the role as per reports. Though there is no official confirmation regarding this news, it is going viral on social media.
The original high-voltage scene which was planned with Bunny is going to be filmed with Sanjay Dutt as per reports. Apparently, the ‘Khalnayak’ actor will shoot for 5 days in Mumbai for this sequence and we need to see what role Bunny was offered by Atlee and SRK.
Apart from this movie, Shah Rukh Khan announced ‘Dunki’ too under the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. SRK was supposed to do ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ but things did not materialize. Now, he is all set to work with Rajkumar Hirani after all these years. The shooting is expected to start in the next few months.
