‘Kashmir Files’ Director Credits SRK For ‘Pathaan’ Success!
Director Vivek Agnihotri became famous all over the nation with his ‘The Kashmir Files’ which came out in 2022. This movie touched the hearts of many Indians who were unaware of the hardships and atrocities faced by the Kashmiri Pundits. He is currently working on ‘The Vaccine War’ which showcases the great work done by our scientists in providing the vaccine for COVID-19.
He is known for expressing his opinions in front of media about politics and Bollywood. He supports right wing and often ends up having heated arguments with the left wingers. Recently, he talked about the success of ‘Pathaan’. He said, “Bollywood makers will go back to their fundamental beliefs that audience is an idiot and you just need star power and lot of marketing hype to make a film successful. After Pathaan, I have a feeling that everybody will fall back to the same old system because Pathaan’s success is the success or in today’s environment I would choose the word victory. It’s the victory of the age-old, exploitative, nepotistic top-heavy system.”
He credited SRK for the movie’s huge success. Vivek claimed, “Pathaan worked purely because of the charisma, the fan following of Shah Rukh. The way he marketed it, the way he took it on his shoulders ‘that, okay it’s my film and I am responsible for it’ which is pretty good. I also think that some credit should also go to people who were making stupid statements against the film and people who were unnecessarily protesting and asking for boycott and these are different people from regular ‘Boycott Bollywood’ gang. There were also some violent factors who were saying we’ll burn this, we’ll burn that. They also contributed to this. And obviously our media channels.”
Record Deal For SDT’s Upcoming Flick ‘Virupaksha’!
Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej is currently working on a movie titled ‘Virupaksha’. Due to his accident, he was forced to take a long break in order to recover and this is going to be his first film in the last two years. ‘Virupaksha’ is going to hit the screens on the 21st of April in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages.
According to the trade reports, the Telugu theatrical rights of this movie have been sold for 22 crores. This is the highest pre-release theatrical business in Telugu for SDT’s film and it is a huge record for him. This is just for the Telugu states and Praveen who is a distributor from West Godavari bought it.
Sai Dharam Tej’s ‘Prathi Roju Pandage’, ‘Solo Lifey So Better’ and ‘Republic’ were good hits. Sukumar is the writer and co-producer for this movie which enhances the market value. Reports claim that the movie is getting fancy offers from other regions too. There are still satellite and digital rights to be considered. It is well known that Netflix bought the digital streaming rights.
‘Virupaksha’ is a horror thriller that is a new genre for Sai Dharam and Karthik Varma Dandu is the director of this movie. He is Sukumar’s student and the ‘Pushpa’ director himself penned the story and screenplay. BVSN Prasad produced this film under the SVCC banner. Samyuktha Menon is the heroine while Sai Chand, Brahmaji, Rajiv Kanakala, Ajay, Sunil and others play key roles.
Karthik Aryan Talks About His Struggles In Bollywood!
Young and happening hero Karthik Aryan is all set to arrive with his family entertainer ‘Shehzada’ on 17th February. This movie is the remake of ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ and there are a decent hype on it. Karthik made a name of himself as the ‘Pyaar Ka Panchnaama’ rant guy but soon turned out to be a heartthrob of youth with hits like ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnaama 2’, ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Pati Patni Aur Who’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and others. He is one of the most promising stars in Bollywood.
During the promotions of ‘Shehzada’, he talked about his journey in Bollywood and claimed that he is really proud of it. He said, “It is the most difficult thing to actually make your own name. Not just in this industry, but anywhere else also. Because I was never a part of the same room. I had to get in line, before that room, I had to reach 10 more rooms before that somehow. A lot of people would just skip those lines. I’m really proud of that journey.”
He even opened up about the negativity he receives on social media and the old media as well. He says, “I feel whenever you give a reaction, the other person wins. So I don’t feel like reacting to it. I don’t feel like reacting to any negativity and I don’t feel like being part of that negativity. By doing that, I’m just adding fuel to the fire. Whenever there’s any negativity coming, you’ll always see me staying away from it.”
After ‘Shehzada’, Karthik will be seen playing the title role in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ where she will romance the newlywed Kiara Advani once again and he is the hero in ‘Aashiqui 3’ along with another sports drama Kabir Khan is making.

Rana Naidu Trailer: Rana and Venkatesh as criminals
The much anticipated trailer for Netflix original action thriller series, Rana Naidu has been unveiled and it shows Rana and Venkatesh in the roles of menacing criminals.
Rana is introduced as the hotshot who settles film stars scandals and Venkatesh is his father, who lead an equally eventful life. The coming together of these two leads to all hell breaking lose.
As expected for Netflix, the making values of the series are of top notch quality. The visuals are lavish and the background score is fitting.
The trailer is technically sound and it also has enough elements to rake up the attention of the audience. The criminal track thread involving Rana and Venkatesh will be the mainstay.
The show will premiere on Netflix on the 10th of March. It is a Netflix original presentation.
Hrithik Roshan Remembers His Iconic Film & Shares A Message!
Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan has selected versatile scripts right from the beginning. After making a stellar debut with ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hain’, he immediately made an army-based film like ‘Lakshya’. He appeared as a mentally challenged guy in ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and did a superhero movie like ‘Krrish’. After working on racy action flick like ‘Dhoom 2’, he did ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ which is a historic film directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar.
This movie showcased the love between Akbar and his wife Jodhaa. The movie was 4 hours long but still turned out to be a huge success. It is one of the iconic films and the music from AR Rahman is unparalleled. The movie completed 15 years on Wednesday and the ‘War’ hero decided to share a message to his director on this special occasion. He even shared some pictures from the time when it was shot.
Hrithik wrote, “Happy Birthday @ashutoshgowariker. Thank you for trusting me with the monumental responsibility of being a part of Jodhaa Akbar. Your direction & my incredible co-stars will forever be cherished. #15yearsOfJodhaaAkbar.” Hrithik and Ashutosh worked together once again in 2015. They made ‘Mohenjodaro’ which turned out to be a huge disaster at the box office.
Talking about his upcoming project ‘Fighter’, he said, “We are shooting with real fighter jets. We just shot in a Sukhoi. It has been so inspiring just being around the Indian Air Force. There is so much to learn from their body language, decorum, the discipline, their courage and intelligence. I am very glad that I got to experience that myself.”
Siddharth Anand who delivered a massive success like ‘Pathaan’ is directing this movie. Hrithik and Siddharth made ‘War’ and ‘Bang Bang’ together before. ‘Fighter’ has Deepika Padukone playing the female lead and it is expected to hit the screens in January 2024.
Star Actress Reducing Her Remuneration For Offers!
Dazzling stalwart Pooja Hegde is one of the top actresses in the country. She is doing projects simultaneously in the South as well as the North. She will soon be arriving with her family action drama ‘Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan’ starring Salman Khan in the lead. Apart from that, she is also the heroine in Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film under Trivikram’s direction.
Prior to the lockdown, Pooja was considered as a lucky charm since most of her movies with big heroes turned out to be super hits. ‘DJ’, ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’, ‘Aravinda Sametha’, ‘Maharshi’ and others were highly successful. But ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ with Akhil proved to her last hit and everything which came after that turned out to be duds. She did ‘Beast’ with Vijay in Tamil, she romanced Ram Charan in ‘Acharya’, played the female lead in ‘Radhe Shyam’ and was the heroine in Ranveer Singh’s last outing ‘Cirkus’ made by Rohit Shetty.
Some of these films were outright disasters while the others were failures. She was supposed to be the heroine ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’ but we don’t know if she is still the leading lady in ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ or not. She has been roped in as the heroine for ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which started before the release of Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ under Puri Jagannadh’s direction but it got shelved after one schedule.
Reports suggest that she is not getting a lot of offers like before. The successive failures are the biggest reason and she reportedly charges around 3-3.5 crores per film which is too costly for a heroine who is out of form according to many. We need to see if Pooja changes her style and reduces the fee or not.
