The first thing that comes to our mind when we think of Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is energy. He is the synonym for energy in Tollywood and he has the ability to make even regular commercial cinema successful with his charm, energy and impeccable comedy timing. The star hero doesn’t need a strong script to score success and it is proved by his last movie ‘Dhamaka’ which ended up as the biggest hit in Ravi Teja’s career despite offering nothing new in terms of story and narration.

Movies like ‘Venky’, ‘Dubai Seenu’, ‘Bhadra’, ‘Power’, ‘Balupu’, ‘Krishna’, ‘Don Seenu’, ‘Mirapakay’ and others did not have unique stories and they were regular commercial entertainers. If not for Ravi Teja, they would not be successful. But it has often been proved that people are always ready to enjoy the ‘Vikramarkudu’ hero in regular movies with a high dose of entertainment rather than interesting movies with new concepts.

People call ‘Neninthe’ a classic and enjoy it now but it was a disaster at the box office. ‘Naa Autograph’ is liked by a lot of people but it was a commercial failure. The same is the case with ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’ as well. In recent times, his two biggest hits were ‘Raja – The Great’ and ‘Krack’ before ‘Dhamaka’ arrived. All of these films were pure commercial movies with good action scenes and high entertainment. He tried something different with ‘Disco Raja’ and it failed badly. He played a triple role in ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and it did not work. ‘Khiladi’ was a crime drama and it did not get a good response while his serious role in ‘Ramarao On Duty’ left everyone disappointed.

Now, he is arriving this weekend with ‘Ravanasura’ and it is something different as the trailer suggests. Ravi Teja is expected to play a character with multiple shades and the trailer promises a lot of thrills and twists. It is not a regular commercial flick. Though the trailer looks promising, we need to wait and see how the movie turns out.
