‘Devil’ Poster Talk: Epic Action Tale Loading!
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram who scored a success like ‘Bimbisara’ had a recent setback in the form of ‘Amigos’. The ‘Athanokkade’ hero is currently working on an epic action tale titled ‘Devi – The British Secret Agent’. The movie is being directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under ‘Abhishek Pictures’ banner.
Wishing the audience on ‘Ugadi’, the team released a staggering poster that gives you a feeling on an extravagant action adventure. Kalyan Ram is looking dashing in a blazer and he is in the middle of a fight as he is seen firing a gun while holding a weapon in another hand. In the background, we can see fire and water everywhere and there Kalyan Ram is standing on a boat. There is an epic feel to this poster and it raised the expectations heavily on the movie.
Abhishek Nama said, “We wish all the audience a very happy Ugadi. We are making Devil as a period movie showing a new point which has not been touched till now with a huge budget and high technical standards. Kalyan Ram, who has been doing versatile films, will surprise once again with the movie Devil. The shooting of the film has reached the final stage.”
Going by the poster, ‘Devi-The British Secret Agent’ is going to be a period drama set in the Madras presidency of British India in 1945. Soundar Rajan S is the director of photography while the story, screenplay and dialogues are given by Srikanth Vissa. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is the music director. Tammiraju is the editor and the release date is yet to be announced.
Newsense Teaser: An intriguing take on Media Field
Telugu people’s favourite OTT platform Aha and the noted production banner People Media Factory by TG Vishwa Prasad joined hands and delivered a successful web series called Kudi Yedamaithe and they are now bringing another series titled “Newsense.”
Today, Aha took to its official social handles and shared the teaser. The teaser is strong and introduces Madnapalle area politics, journalism, and media atrocities. At the start of the teaser, the creators posed a question to everyone: Is media showing the truth or what media shows?
Bindu Madhavi and Navadeep are media journalists who project the news in various ways. Shiva, a fiery yet ambitious character, fights to expose the truth? The creators raised numerous questions to the audience. The arresting background score and visuals raises curiosity on this webseries.
After Masti’s, this is the second series of actor Navdeep to be premiered on Aha. Sriprawin Kumar is the helmer of this series, which will have Suresh Bobbili’s music. Priyadarshini Ram penned the story of Newsense. The release date and other complete details will be revealed in the coming days.

‘Bheeshma’ Combo To Reunite Once Again?
Young and dynamic hero Nithiin and lovely beauty Rashmika Mandanna worked together in ‘Bheeshma’ which was directed by Venky Kudumula. This movie came out on 21st February 2020 and turned out to be a good hit. The entertainment quotient made this movie successful despite a lot of loopholes.
Vennela Kishore’s comedy and Venky Kudumula’s dialogues worked in favour of the movie. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi produced this film under ‘Sitara Entertainments’ banner. This is Venky Kudumula’s second hit after ‘Chalo’ and he announced his next with Megastar Chiranjeevi under ‘DVV Entertainments’ banner. But it did not materialize.
Sources say that ‘Bheeshma’ team is all set to reunite once again. While Venky Kudumula and Nithiin are onboard, sources say that they are trying to bring Rashmika aboard too. Mythri Movie Makers is expected to produce this movie and the official announcement regarding this project is expected to arrive on 30th March.
As we know, Rashmika is working on ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ right now and she has Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ in her hands too. After these two projects get wrapped, Rashmika will be able to allot dates to Venky’s film. Nithiin does not have any projects in his hand right now and this movie will go on floors as soon as Rashmika becomes free.
Rashmika proved to be a lucky charm for Venky as she is the heroine in the two films he directed till now. With everything falling in place, the official announcement is the only thing the movie lovers have to wait for. Let us see if they score a hit once again or not.
Malavika Denies Being The Second Heroine Of PK’s Film!
The Internet is filled with fake news and people are struggling to find the difference between what’s real and what’s not. A popular website posted on social media that happening beauty Sreeleela and Malavika Mohanan are selected as the heroines for ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ starring Pawan Kalyan in the title role. Harish Shankar is directing this movie and the website even claimed that the ‘Master’ actress as the second heroine in this movie. This news spread like wildfire and before people start believing it, the actress herself retweeted and clarified that she is not a part of ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’.
She wrote, “Have so much admiration for Pawan Kalyan sir, but have to clarify I’m not a part of this project 🙂 I’m currently working on a amazing telugu film(as the main lead not the second) which will be my debut in telugu cinema, an industry I’m excited to dive into.” What’s more interesting is that Malavika announced that she is currently acting in a Telugu movie and claimed that she is the first heroine but not the second.
As we know, her name is being linked with Prabhas’ horror thriller ‘Raja Deluxe’ which is being directed by Maruthi. There were speculations about taking more than two heroines in this movie but we need to see which film Malavika Mohanan is referring to.
Malavika was last seen in an interesting love story named ‘Christy’. It got a mixed response and she played the role of a teacher who develops romantic feelings over her student. She played a small role in Rajnikanth’s ‘Petta’ and was the heroine in Vijay’s ‘Master’ and Dhanush’s ‘Maaran’. She is yet to make her Tollywood debut but she has a lot of fans in Telugu states because of her astonishing glamour.
Copying The Same Style Not Working For Huge Projects!
There was a time when the faction backdrop used to be a trend in Tollywood. One film became successful and every hero wanted to make films in the same pattern. It was so overused that it ran out of trend within a short time. After ‘Pokiri’, many directors tried to make movies with similar hero characterization but nothing proved successful. Even Puri Jagannadh himself failed to recreate the same magic.
After the phenomenal success of ‘Baahubali’ and ‘KGF’, the filmmakers are trying their best to recreate these movies. But imitation doesn’t result in success and filmmakers need to understand this. It is the content that needs to impress the audience but not the backdrop and budget.
Bollywood made movies like ‘Thugs Of Hindusthan’, ‘Panipat’, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, ‘Shamshera’, ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Padmavat’. All these are historical or fictional. The shades of ‘Baahubali’ is pretty much visible in all these films whether it is the tone or scenes or acting or story. Vijay made a fantasy movie named ‘Puli’ in Tamil which was a failure, Mohanlal’s ‘Marakkar’ did not impress the audience and Mani Ratnam’s ‘PS – 1’ was a failure in all languages barring Tamil Nadu.
Coming to ‘KGF’, filmmakers are trying to make the same movie that is working against them. Sundeep Kishan’s ‘Michael’ had a lot of similarities to ‘KGF’ in terms of story, elevations and other things. It ended up being a disaster. The recent release ‘Kabzaa’ starring Upendra and Shriya In the lead has a striking similarity to Prasanth Neel’s blockbuster and people are calling ‘Kabzaa’ a xerox copy of ‘KGF’.
While it is original the first time, the same pattern becomes monotonous when you do it again and again. The makers need to try something different like ‘Pushpa’ or ‘Kantara’ in order to impress the audience rather than trying to recreate an already hit film.
