Pic Talk: Sam, Dev seeks blessings at Peddamma Temple
South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to greet the audience in theatres with her upcoming film, ‘Shaakuntalam’. Directed by Gunasekhar, the movie will be released on April 14, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Ahead of the release, the team has now begun the promotional activities by taking the blessings from Peddamma Temple in Hyderabad. The lead pair is seen donning white attires as they enter the temple with the entire team. In the pictures, we can see Sam keeping her look basic with half braid hairstyle, earrings, and simple makeup.
Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, Shaakuntalam also features Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Allu Arha and Sachin Khedekar, among others in key roles. Mani Sharma has composed the music for the flick that is jointly bankrolled by Gunaa Teamworks and Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi’s fourth single unveiled
Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, a romance drama starring Naga Shaurya and Malvika Nair, directed by Srinivas Avasarala and produced by People Media Factory in collaboration with Dasari Productions, is releasing in theatres on March 17. While three songs composed by Kalyani Malik – Kanula Chatu Meghama, the title track and Neetho Ee Gadichina Kalam – were out recently, the fourth single, Kafeefi, which has music by Vivek Sagar, was out today.
Ben Human and Vishnupriya have crooned for the song written by Kittu Vissapragada. Kafeefi is a party number filmed at a pub on Naga Shaurya, Malvika, Sri Vidya, Abhishek Maharshi and others. While Kafeefi is a word sung by the lead pair on the stage initially, the crowds start finding it catchy and groove to it, much to their surprise.
After a series of warm melodies and a pathos number, Kafeefi lends a unique cosmopolitan flavour to the film’s album. The song is in the comfort zone of the composer, Vivek Sagar, known for his urban, peppy numbers with a catchy musical hook. The trendy orchestration is in sync with the vibe of the situation. Naga Shaurya and Malvika showcase their mettle on the dance floor and respond to choreographer Yash’s instructions with elan.
The opening lines ‘Nalugurilo unte..Chilipiga pothunte…Chanuvuki no no cheppede kafeefi’ have the lead pair elaborating on what kafeefi is all about – precisely, a person’s ability to draw a line even in tricky situations. The other stanzas in the song, with simple, relatable lyrics, emphasise several scenarios where the world around the couple misreads their equation, during which ‘kafeefi’ comes into play. Its happy-go-lucky spirit is sure to resonate with music buffs.

ఇక హృతిక్ రోషన్ ని పెళ్లి అయ్యే సమయానికి తనకి పెళ్లి కాలేదు అని మీనా తన మనసులోని మాటని బయటపెట్టింది. ప్రతి హీరోయిన్ కి ఏదో ఒక హీరో అంటే క్రష్ ఉంటుంది. అలాగే మీనాకి కూడా హృతిక్ రోషన్ అంటే క్రష్ అనే విషయాన్ని మొదటి సారిగా బయట పెట్టింది అని చెప్పాలి. ఇదిలా ఉంటే భర్త చనిపోయిన బాధ నుంచి బయటపడేందుకు ఈ మధ్య మీనా ఎక్కువగా సినిమాలు ఒప్పుకుంటూ బిజీ అవుతున్నట్లు తెలుస్తుంది.
Clash Between A Class Movie & A Mass Action Film This Weekend!
The Tollywood box office is very unpredictable lately. Movies which are not expected to deliver are getting very good collections and even creating records while some good films are being ignored. But the month of March is quite dull so far as most of the youth are busy with examinations. Barring ‘Balagam’ which made decent money in the Nizam area, no other film turned out to be that successful.
This week, there are two interesting movies arriving in theatres. They are going to test their luck before the Ugadi festival. The first in the list is Naga Shaurya’s ‘Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi’. Directed by Srinivas Avasarala, Malavika Nair is the heroine in this movie. The combination of Avasarala and Shaurya already gave two hits. Known for his classy entertainers and rom-coms Avasarala Srinivas is back as a director after a long time. The urban audience might be interested in this movie and we need to wait and see if it brings people into theatres or not.
On the other hand, the high voltage action movie ‘Kabzaa’ is getting released. This Kannada movie which is having a pan-Indian release has Upendra playing the lead role while Sudeep will be seen in a special role. Shriya Saran is the leading lady. The teaser and other promotional content reminded people of ‘KGF’ but it looks like a different story as the trailer suggests. We need to wait and see if this movie turns out to be another ‘KGF’ level hit from the Kannada industry or not.
These are the only two films arriving this weekend and it is to be seen how they fare at the box office. The only big release in Tollywood this month is going to be ‘Dasara’ which will arrive on 30th March. These two flicks will have a lot of time to impress the audience in theatres. ‘Gaslight’ Trailer: Sara Ali Khan Thrills With A Chilling Horror Drama!
Young beauty Sara Ali Khan who is majorly known for her heavenly looks rather than her acting skills is trying to be versatile lately. After making her debut with ‘Kedarnath’, she acted in ‘Simmba’ which was a good hit. Her commercial flicks like ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Coolie No. 1’ turned out to be disappointments. She showcased some of her potential in ‘Atrangi Re’ but many critics said that there is a lot of room for improvement.
The dazzling beauty all set to thrill the audience on 31st March with a horror movie titled ‘Gaslight’. The movie is directly going to be released in Disney + Hotstar and the official trailer came out a while ago. Sara Ali Khan plays the role of a girl named Meesha who is stuck in her wheelchair. She enters a big mansion and constantly keeps asking where his dad is. Her prime suspect is Rukmini played by Chitrangada Singh as she keeps on saying that he is out for a couple of days and will come back soon.
Vikrant Massey is seen as Kapil who takes care of all the affairs in the palace though he doesn’t know about her dad’s personal affairs. While Meesha says she saw his dad, no one believes her. This leads to a lot of suspense and the rest of the plot revolves around who killed her dad? or is he still alive? The trailer packs a punch and takes you into the story.
The camera work and lighting is perfect for a horror drama and it looks like the lead actors delivered some good performances. The movie is expected to have some spooky moments and some unexpected turns as well. Directed by Pavan Kirpalani, this film is produced by Tips Films and 12th Steet Entertainment. Let us wait and see whether ‘Gaslight’ impresses the OTT audience or not.
‘Veyyinokka Song’ Promo: A Foot Tapping Remix On The Way!
After delivering two hits in the form of ‘Dhamaka’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ within a gap of a month, Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja is all set to thrill us ‘Ravanasura’ which will be coming out on 7th April. The teaser which came out a couple of weeks back got a very positive response from the audience. Prior to that, the makers released two songs named ‘Ravanasura’ Anthem and ‘Pyaar Lona Paagal’. The third song is all set to be released on 15th March and it is titled ‘Veyyinokka’.
The movie’s unit released the promo of the song before coming up with the lyric video. This short video clip gives us an idea of how the song is going to be. It is a foot-tapping love track and Ravi Teja seems to have done some energetic dance moves in it. Megha Akash looks beautiful as ever in retro costumes.
Talented singer Anurag Kulkarni has given his vocals while the late Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry penned the lyrics. Harshavardhan Rameshwar is the music composer. This is a remix of the song from Venkatesh’s ‘Surya IPS’ which came back in 1991. SP Balasubramanyam sang the original version while Ilayaraja composed the track. It is being used in ‘Ravanasura’ now and let us see how this remixed version is going to be.
The unique action thriller is being made grandly under Ravi Teja’s RT Teamworks and Abhishek Nama’s Abhishek Pictures. Sushanth is a part of this film and it has five female actors namely Anu Emmanual, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar and Pujitha Ponnada. The female leads will have a crucial role to play in this movie while Ravi Teja will be seen as a lawyer for the first time. Srikanth Vissa who’s associated with a few exciting projects as a writer has penned a powerful and first-of-its-kind story for the movie.
Harshavardhan Rameswar and Bheems together provide music for the film, while Vijay Kartik Kannan handles the cinematography and Srikanth is the editor. The rest of the cast includes noted actors like Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Nitin Mehta (Akhanda fame), Satya, Jaya Prakash and others. The movie is releasing on 7th April.
Varahi Hits Road, Janasenani’s Journey Started!
‘Varahi’ which created a sensation across the Telugu states finally hit the roads and came out of the Jana Sena party office as announced by the party. Pawan Kalyan who is celebrating the formatting day of Janasena is traveling in the vehicle to reach the meeting point in Machilipatnam. The journey which started in Vijayawada reached Machilipatnam. Pawan would address the gathering at the meeting. There is an opinion that Pawan would mention key issues as the elections are one year away.
Earlier, the ruling party leaders said they will see how Varahi will hit the roads. Pawan Kalyan hit back saying he will see who stops the bus.

Shankar Busy With Action Scenes Of ‘Indian 2’!
With Ram Charan spending the last couple of weeks in Los Angeles for the promotional campaign before Oscars, legendary director Shankar is working on his upcoming project ‘Indian 2’. Starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan in the lead, this is one of the most-awaited movies in South India.
‘Indian’ which was released back in 1996 was a sensational hit that made Shankar one of the top directors in South India. Kamala Hassan’s phenomenal acting turned it into an evergreen film. A lot of elements like the strong story, stupendous music and others worked in favor of that film. Shankar is now making the second part and the shooting was delayed a lot of times due to multiple reasons. The duo of Shankar and Kamal Hassan are expected to work their magic on the screen even after 25 years.
The latest we hear is that Shankar is filming some crucial action sequences for the movie. The shooting is reportedly happening in Kalpakkam Dutch Fort in Tamil Nadu. Kamal will be not be seen playing a dual role this time and there are going to be a lot of noted artists playing key roles in this movie. Let us wait and see how the movie turns out.
