‘Project K’ Team Battling With Injuries All The Time!
Ever since the movie was announced, there were heavy expectations on ‘Project K’. Nag Ashwin who made memorable movies like ‘Mahanati’ and ‘Evade Subramanyam’ decided to make something gigantic this time. As everyone is aware by now, this is a science fiction film based on the concept of time traveling. The makers have announced that the movie will be hitting the big screens on 12th January 2024. The posters which came out till date created a lot of buzz.
The journey of this team has been filled with injuries till this point. As we know, legendary Amitabh Bachchan who is playing a key role in this movie has revealed that he injured his ribs during the shooting of ‘Project K’ in Ramoji Film City. The shooting came to a halt as Big B needs to rest for a few weeks. Previously, Prabhas had a leg injury during this film’s shoot and he had surgery too which made the team postpone the shooting. He even tested positive for covid and had a high fever last year.
Coming to Deepika Padukone, the star actress fainted on the film’s location due to dehydration and was shifted to the hospital immediately. Though there was nothing to worry, it made the makers stop the shooting for a while. Disha Patanai had some injuries while working on ‘Project K’ as well. It looks like the team of ‘Project K’ are going against the tide to work on this project and people are hoping that all their hard work results in an epic movie.
As we know, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are playing key characters in this film while Prabhas is the lead. The team is working hard to see that there are no leaked photos or videos coming out of it. Apart from this film, Prabhas is working on multiple movies. His ‘Adipurush’ is expected to release in June while ‘Salaar’ is currently in the last leg of its production according to reports. The makers announced that it will hit the screens on September 28th but it may change.
On the other hand, he is also doing a horror comedy with Maruti and it is titled ‘Raja Deluxe’. The release date is yet to be given and his project with Sandeep Reddy Vanga is expected to start at the end of 2024. It is titled ‘Spirit’ and there is talk that he may team up with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘War’ director Siddharth Anand.
No truth in Pushpa 2- Sai Pallavi rumors?
For the past couple of days, there have been varying reports that Sai Pallavi is onboard for Pushpa 2.
It was widely reported that she would be doing a character that has 10 minutes runtime in the film and it will be a mighty important appearance in the film.
But as per the latest updates, there’s no real merit to these speculations. The makers haven’t yet signed the actress for the role, it seems.
The rumors about Sai Pallavi’s inclusion in Pushpa 2’s cast have been around for a while now but there’s very little credence to them.
Sukumar is occupied with the production now and the entire casting part has been wrapped up already. So there’s no real urge to go for the likes of Sai Pallavi or others for that matter.
Dhamki Releasing Worldwide In Theatres On March 22nd
Dynamic hero Vishwak Sen’s maiden Pan India film Das Ka Dhamki is getting ready for release. The movie, as officially announced by the makers, will release worldwide in theatres on March 22nd. The announcement has been made with this intriguing poster that shows the two shades of the actor in the movie. He is presented in class as well as mass avatars in the poster.
Made on a high budget with rich production values, Vishwak is the protagonist, director, and also producer of the movie. Nivetha Pethuraj is the leading lady opposite Vishwak Sen in the movie.
The makers so far released three songs which all became chartbusters. Leon James scored the music, while Ram Miriyala rendered Mawa Bro song. The theatrical trailer has also set the bar high on the movie.
Rao Ramesh, Hyper Aadi, Rohini, and Prithviraj are the other prominent cast of the movie which will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
Tamareddy Takes A Dig On Spending 80 Cr For Oscars Campaign!
Tamareddy Bharadwaja is considered as one of the senior most filmmakers in Tollywood. He is known for speaking his mind regarding the film fraternity and other issues. He recently opened up about the Telugu film industry’s biggest hit ‘RRR’. He expressed his unhappiness over the team spending 80 crores on the Oscars campaign. He also says that the directors should not demand budget and leave it to the producers.
The senior filmmaker seems to have some problem with Rajamouli’s success as he keeps taking potshots at the latter even when he delivered gigantic hits like ‘Magadheera’ and ‘Baahubali’ in the past. Talking about budgets, he said, “My vision is to write a story and then lock a budget. Of course, there are those like Rajamouli who planned a ₹200 crores project and saw success too. I’m not saying I’m wrong, but they have succeeded.”
He even took a jibe at Rajamouli for spending 80 crores on campaigning for the Oscars. He stated, “They’ve spent nearly ₹80 Cr on the Oscar campaign. If that budget is given to you (aspiring filmmakers in the audience), you would have made 10 films and tossed them on their faces. But that’s their money their wish. So you write a story and approach someone like a Dil Raju or Bol Raju to make it into a film.”
There is a difference between thinking big and thinking safe. Surely, people can make 10 small films with 80 crores but it doesn’t guarantee success and there needs to be filmmakers who can dare to dream big and Rajamouli tops that list. He is representing Telugu cinema on the global stage which is not possible with a so-called small film made with 8-10 crores. While it is true that small films should be encouraged, it is equally necessary to support directors like Rajamouli as they can open many doors for Telugu cinema.
Video: Oscar Nominees Read Their Love Letters Before The Ceremony!
With just a couple of days left for the Oscars, the people across the globe are hyped up. They are eager to see who gets the awards on the big night and all the Oscar nominees are having a great time too. ‘The Academy’ has posted a video on its social media where we can see some of the nominees reading the love letters they received from the fans.
The video showcases how much the audience loved some of the movies. They praised the acting, editing, camera work, music and many other aspects of movies like ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Black Panther’, ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’, ‘RRR’ and many more. As we can see music composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose too were present in the video and they read some letters where the fans showcased how much they loved ‘Naatu Naatu’ and the complete movie.
This video is amazing to watch as it introduces us to a lot of technicians who worked behind the scenes and weaved their magic on the screen. With the Oscars team raising the hype immensely, everyone is waiting for 12th March. As we know, ‘Naatu Naatu’ song will be performed live on the Oscars stage by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. It is a very proud moment for Indian cinema no matter the song wins the Oscar or not. But the ‘Naatu Naatu’ will remain forever in Indian history if it manages to win the Best Original Song award. Team ‘Khushi’ Welcomes Back Sam On Sets Wholeheartedly!
No matter how much time star actress Samantha took to take care of her health, the team of ‘Khushi’ showed their full support. They waited for her patiently and she is finally back on sets. As we know, Samantha Ruth Prabhu took some time off her commitments in order to get treated for Myositis in foreign, and most of her shootings got canceled.
She got back to work last month and allotted a few weeks to her Hindi web series before joining the team of ‘Khushi’. She has arrived finally and the team welcomed her wholeheartedly as they made her cut a cake and celebrate Women’s Day. They made a big poster where she is seen posing with her dog and wrote, “Our strong powerful & inspiring lady. Leading the industry since 13 years.” We can see the names of all her movies on the poster. In the celebrations, we can see Vijay Deverakonda standing next to her while writer-director Shiva Nirvana and producer are also seen in the celebrations.
