Israel to host top Arab diplomats during Blinken’s visit
JERUSALEM: Israel said Friday it would host the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Morocco and Bahrain during U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit early next week, in what would be the latest in a flurry of high-level meetings held across the Middle East.
The three Arab countries normalized relations with Israel in 2020 in the so-called Abraham Accords. The Biden administration welcomed those agreements, which were concluded under then-President Donald Trump, and has expressed interest in negotiating additional ones.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said it would host the four top diplomats on Sunday and Monday, with additional details to be provided later.
In a separate development, Jordanian state media said King Abdullah II would host Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi’s powerful crown prince and de facto ruler of the Emirates, in the southern Jordanian city of Aqaba on Friday.
The crown prince met with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and el-Sissi in Egypt earlier this week.
Blinken will visit Israel, the occupied West Bank, Morocco and Algeria starting this weekend, as U.S. diplomacy faces serious tests related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as well as Middle Eastern regional issues.
In Israel, Blinken plans to speak with Israeli officials about their efforts to mediate between Russia and Ukraine. He will also update them on the status of talks aimed at reviving Iran’s nuclear deal. Efforts to promote Israeli-Palestinian dialogue will also be on the agenda.
“The secretary will emphasize to all of the foreign leaders he meets that the United States stands in solidarity with the government and people of Ukraine in the face of the Kremlin’s aggression,” the State Department said Thursday.
Israel was strongly opposed to the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers and welcomed Trump’s decision to unilaterally withdraw from it. Israel has warned against reviving the agreement and says it will not be bound by any new deal.
Israel has meanwhile walked a fine line between Russia and Ukraine since hostilities began last month. Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has expressed support for the Ukrainian people but stopped short of condemning Russia’s invasion, and in recent weeks has served as a mediator.
Israel regularly conducts airstrikes on what it says are hostile Iranian military targets in neighbouring Syria. Such strikes must be coordinated with Russia, which intervened in Syria’s civil war in 2015 on the side of President Bashar Assad. Russia is also a party to the Iran talks.
Assad was in the UAE last week, marking his first visit to an Arab country since the Syrian uprising began in 2011. The UAE, a U.S. ally and the driving force behind the Abraham Accords, has also sought to avoid angering Russia.
Shivarajkumar upset with Rajamouli’s RRR
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR had a grand release in multiple languages today. The Ram Charan and NTR starrer was released in Karnataka as well and it got a massive response from the audience there.
The latest update is that late Puneeth Rajkumar’s elder brother Shivarajkumar is said to be disappointed with the release of RRR.
Although the veteran actor promoted Rajamouli’s movie, the removal of Puneeth’s last movie James from the theaters has made both Shivarajkumar and the late actor’s fans upset.
As per reports, many theaters in Karnataka opted to stop showing James, making space for RRR.
Speaking at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Shivarajkumar expressed his disappointment and said it was disheartening to see the removal of James, which is doing well at the box office.
Released in March this year, James collected Rs 36 crore on its first day and raked in Rs 140 crores at the box office within five days of its release.

Clearing all the doubts and airs, Bharatiya Janata Party had once again proved that Uttar Pradesh is its strong turf. The recent general elections is also a memorable one for the party as after more than 30 years, a Chief Minister had formed the government for the second consecutive term.
The oath-taking ceremony was held in Uttar Pradesh and was attended by big dignitaries like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, and other key leaders.
The famous Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium was fully decked up for the occasion as massive arrangements for the same. The BJP supporters and party activists were seen in big numbers holding saffron shawls.
Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath ceremony and Yogi took oath as the Chief Minister. KP Maurya and Brajesh Pathak have been sworn in as the deputies of Yogi Adityanath. Along with them, the Cabinet Ministers also took oath today.
Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Anil Rajbhar, Jitin Prasada, Rakesh Sachan, Arvind Kumar Sharma, Yogendra Upadhyaya, Ashish Patel, and Sanjay Nishad are some of the Cabinet Ministers who found spots in the new cabinet. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which was delayed multiple times already. Senthil Kumar is the director of photography while Sabu Cyril is the production designer. Srinivas Mohan is the VFX supervisor for this huge project.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is currently working on ‘Godfather’ as his work in Koratala Siva’s ‘Acharya’ is done. This project under the direction of Mohan Raja is a remake of the Malayalam super hit movie ‘Lucifer’. As we know, Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan is playing a key role in this film.

Thanks to The Kashmir Files, director Vivek Agnihotri shot to super fame, and audiences across the languages started to search for him. Veteran Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, who earlier served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh had lashed out at the director and took a dig at him and said that maybe it is the personal experience of the director.
In a tweet, the Congress leader said that he has been associated with Bhopal and the people there for many decades and the comments made by the filmmaker are not acceptable. Expressing his unhappiness on this, Mr. Singh said that no matter where you stay, the company of whom he has will have an impact.
“It is not what common Bhopal residents feel. I am associated with Bhopal and Bhopal residents since 1977 and this is not what I feel to be right. Wherever you stay, there’s always an influence of the company you keep,” Digvijaya Singh’s tweet loosely translates to English.

No one usually brings such a star actress for a minor role and that is the reason why a lot of people kept their expectations high on Alia’s role.
Alia Bhatt promoted the film heavily and gave many interviews along with the team which made everyone think that she might have a very crucial role if not a lengthy one. On the other hand, foreign actress Olivia Morris who was supposed to be the heroine for NTR never took part in promotions. People thought that she has a very small role in the film.
But people who saw the movie were amazed to see the love track of Olivia and NTR having more screen time than Alia and Charan. The makers publicized that Alia has a very key role in this film but it is not the case. Compared to her, Olivia had a more significant role.
While Ajay Devgn had a small role too, it was quite impactful. Many viewers were surprised about Alia’s role and are now wondering how she accepted such a role.
