Kalyan Krishna, who made his directorial debut with Soggade Chinni Nayana, is said to be struggling to lock a lead actor for his next project.
The young director last helmed Bangarraju, starring Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya, which didn’t work out well at the box office. Billed as a sequel to the 2016 film Soggade Chinni Nayana, the film was released in theatres on 14 January 2022, coinciding with the Sankranti festival.
It is heard that Nagarjuna is also disappointed with the final collections. The movie didn’t reach the breakeven mark in many areas. After Bangarraju failed to reach the expectations, not many heroes are evincing interest in working with Kalyan Krishna.
So far, the young filmmaker directed two films – Rarandoi Veduka Chudham and Nela Ticket – besides Soggade Chinni Nayana and Bangarraju. But, all his films failed to make a sound at the box office. Considering all these, it is now heard that the director is struggling to team up with a strong actor for his upcoming project.
