Justice Nv Ramana Receives Grand Welcome At His Native Place
The serving Chief Justice of India(CJI) NV Ramana who gave historic verdicts in many cases since he assumed the CJI office took some free time from his busy schedule and reached his native place. NV Ramana will be touring in his native place for three-long days. He hails from Andhra Pradesh.
Making his first-ever visit to his native place after taking oath as the top judge of the Supreme Court, Justice NV Ramana reached Ponnavaram in a bullock cart. After reaching the outskirts of the village in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna District, Justice NV Ramana had opted for a bullock cart ride to enter his native place Ponnavaram.
The locals who got to know that the Chief Justice is stepping on his native place after a long time planned a grand welcome and gave him a memorable welcome he would cherish for the rest of his life. In a traditional manner, the villagers welcomed NV Ramana and his family members.
CJI NV Ramana and his wife were welcomed in a grand way and gave them a warm welcome. A bullock cart that was decorated to welcome the couple carried them into the village amid cheers and celebrations from the villagers, well-wishers.
After reaching his native place, Justice NV Ramana offered special prayers at the Shiva temple in the village. He will be touring in Andhra Pradesh for three days. A special program was organised by the locals of the village to honor the Chief Justice.
Speaking on the occasion, NV Ramana said he loves his hometown. I shall remain grounded no matter the position I hold. Our village was politically dynamic in 1967 itself. There used to be leaders of three different political parties.
They used to have no issues politically. Even though they had any issues or differences during the elections, everything would be sorted out after the elections, he said.
During his three-day visit, NV Ramana will visit the Vijayawada Kanakadurga temple and offer his prayers. After visiting the famous temple, he will meet the Governor. The Chief Justice will also attend the dinner party of the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Kodali Nani hints about hikes for RRR and Radhe Shyam
The government of Andhra Pradesh has imposed unprecedented restrictions on cinema ticket prices. The cinema ticket prices are certain theatres are capped at Rs 10 and that pretty much sums it up. If that is the case, biggies like RRR and Radhe Shyam might suffer big time in Andhra Pradesh.
In his latest interaction with media, Kodali Nani hinted about possible ticket hikes for RRR and Radhe Shyam.
“If pan-India big budget films like RRR and Radhe Shyam request a few flexibilities in regards to ticket prices and special shows, we might think about it. But we won’t let the blac ticket culture prevail for every film ranging from Rs 20 crores to Rs 200 crores.” Nani said.
Well, Nani has clearly implied that Andhra Pradesh government might well be taking into account the prospect of permitting ticket hikes for RRR and Radhe Shyam, which is a very positive sign.

Ashok Gajapathi booked for ‘creating ruckus’ at Ramatheertham
VIZIANAGARAM: The Nellimarla police on Thursday registered cases against MANSAS chairman, hereditary trustee of the Ramatheertham temple and senior TDP leader Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju for creating a flutter by trying to remove the plaque of the foundation stone of Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Bodikonda hill in Ramatheertham on Wednesday.
After receiving a complaint from executive officer of Ramatheertham temple DVV Prasad, Nellimarla police registered a case against Ashok Gajapathi Raju and a few other TDP leaders. Ashok was reportedly charged under IPC Sections 353, 427 for obstructing the public servants from delivering their duties and creating nuisance and trying to damage public property.
The TDP, BJP, Janasena and several Hindu organisations condemned the “false cases” registered against Raju. Speaking to the media, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that ministers and endowments officials did not follow the Hindu rituals and customs during Wednesday’s foundation stone laying ceremony.
“They didn’t even remove unnecessary stones at the foundation stone site. They removed footwear only after I questioned. Temple officials have stopped the puja for some time for the minister, who came late. After I came to know about all the things, I felt unhappy and questioned the officials. However, they accused me of creating nuisance and registered false cases against me. I will not be afraid of such cases.
The government is targeting me. I am fighting to protect Hindu religion,” the former Union minister said.
Minister Botsa Satyanarayana slammed the allegations made by Raju and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
“We have honoured the hereditary trusty and followed the protocol as per the temple rituals and customs during Wednesday’s ceremony. We don’t have any necessity to target Raju. He failed to continue the dignity of Vizianagaram Maharaja by creating nuisance and abusing the officials as well as the government during the foundation stone laying ceremony.”
“Temple officials have written his name on the plaque as per protocol. However, Naidu is politicising the incident,” the minister said and demanded an apology from Naidu and Raju for creating an “unnecessary controversy”.

Con-woman Shilpa Chowdary Gets Conditional Bail After Long Wait!
Socialite Shilpa Chowdary, who is facing allegations of scamming people to a tune of multi crores was granted bail by the Court the other day after a long wait. Thanks to the lawyers, who represented her in the case, Shilpa Chowdary was granted bail by a local court.
Shilpa Chowdary got only partial relief in the case as the local court in Hyderabad granted her conditional bail under the condition that she should make herself present before the Investigation Officer every Saturday. On top of this, she cannot go out of the country.
The other conditions were that Shilpa Chowdary should submit two sureties, along with a personal bond of Rs 10,000. Her passport should be submitted to the Court and her weekly attendance at the Narsingi Police Station on Saturday is a must. The local court granted her conditional bail the other day, but Shilpa Chowdary walked out of the prison on Friday.
Shilpa Chowdary has been in the news with her alleged role in the multi-crore racket. Acting on the complaints received against the socialite which says she cheated people on the pretext of earning high returns. The amount she collected from the victims is a tune of multi-crore.
The victims who were cheated by con-woman Shilpa Chowdary include famous people like a young Telugu hero and sister of a big Telugu star. After gathering evidence on the allegations leveled against her, the Narsingi Police raided a farmhouse and took Shilpa Chowdary and her husband into custody.
With the local court granting permission for the Narsingi Police to question her, the investigation grilled her to gather more information in connection with the case. Media reports say that the cops gathered some vital information on the issue. She reportedly tried to play the victim card before the investigation officers.
On the flipside, Shilpa Chowdary has been trying to seek bail from the court. Earlier, the court had postponed the hearings in the case for not twice but thrice. With the issue coming for hearing on Thursday, Shilpa Chowdary was defended by her lawyers and the court granted conditional bail.
