‘రంగస్థలం’ వంటి బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ తర్వాత సుకుమార్ దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన చిత్రం ”పుష్ప: ది రైజ్”. అల్లు అర్జున్ – రష్మిక మందన్నా హీరోహీరోయిన్లుగా రూపొందిన ఈ సినిమా గత శుక్రవారం ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది.
విమర్శకుల నుంచి మిశ్రమ స్పందన తెచ్చుకున్న ఈ సినిమా.. రివ్యూస్ తో సంబంధం లేకుండా భారీ ఓపెనింగ్స్ రాబట్టింది. అయితే మొదటి నుంచీ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని ‘కేజీయఫ్’ తో పోల్చడం ప్రతికూలంగా మారిందనే కామెంట్స్ వచ్చాయి. దీనిపై దర్శకుడు సుకుమార్ స్పందిస్తూ.. ఆ రెండు సినిమాలకు పోలిక పెట్టడం సరికాదని అన్నారు.
‘కేజీయఫ్’ సినిమాతో ‘పుష్ప’ సినిమాను పోల్చడానికి ఒక కారణం రెండు భాగాలుగా చేయడమైతే.. మరొకటి థీమ్ ఒకే విధంగా ఉండటం. అక్కడ కోలార్ గోల్డ్ ఫీల్డ్ మైనింగ్ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ ని తీసుకుంటే.. ఇక్కడ ఎర్రచందనం స్మగ్లింగ్ నేపథ్యాన్ని తీసుకుని తెరకెక్కించారు.
అందులోనూ సుకుమార్ శిష్యుడు బుచ్చిబాబు గతంలో ‘ఒక పుష్ప 10 కేజీయఫ్ లతో సమానం’ అనే కామెంట్స్ చేసి హైప్ తీసుకొచ్చారు. భారీ అంచనాల మధ్య థియేటర్లలోకి వచ్చిన ‘పుష్ప’ పార్ట్-1 మూవీ ‘కేజీయఫ్-1’ స్థాయిలో లేదని ప్రేక్షకులు అభిప్రాయ పడుతున్నారు.
ఈ నేపథ్యంలో సుకుమార్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ‘కేజీయఫ్’ తో ‘పుష్ప’ సినిమాని పోలుస్తున్నారు. దేని ప్రత్యేక దానిదే. దీనిపై బుచ్చిబాబుతో మాట్లాడా. ఆ సినిమా బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ – విజువల్స్ వేరు. ఇది ఎమోషనల్ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్.
కొత్త ఫార్మాట్ లో ఉన్న కమర్షియల్ సినిమా. దేనితోనూ దీన్ని పోల్చకూడదు. సెకండ్ పార్ట్ కనెక్షన్స్ కోసం ఉంచిన కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు ల్యాగ్ అయినట్టు అనిపించొచ్చు. కానీ అది కొంతవరకే. మిగతాదంతా గ్రిప్పింగ్ గా అనిపిస్తుంది అని అన్నారు.
ఇంకా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ.. ”బన్నీని ఇలాంటి పవర్ ఫుల్ యాటిట్యూడ్ ఉన్న క్యారెక్టర్ లో చూపిద్దామని చాలా ఏళ్ల క్రితమే అనుకున్నాను. అది ఇప్పటికి కుదిరింది. ఏ బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ తీసుకుందామా అని బాగా ఆలోచించి ఎర్ర చందనం స్మగ్లింగ్ తీసుకున్నాను.
వేరే ఏదైనా తీసుకోవచ్చు కానీ ఇదైతే సౌత్ లో అందరికీ తెలుసు కాబట్టి బాగా కనెక్టవుతారని ఫీలయ్యాను. దీనిపై సుమారు ఆరు నెలలు రీసెర్చ్ చేశా. నిజానికి మొదట వెబ్ సిరీస్ తీద్దామనుకున్నాను కానీ.. చివరకు సినిమా అయితేనే బాగుంటుందనే నిర్ణయానికి వచ్చాను” అని తెలిపారు.
”సినిమాలో బన్నీకి కచ్చితంగా ఏదోక మేనరిజం ఉండాలని ‘తగ్గేదే లే’ అనేది పెట్టాం. బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ తో పాటు డైలాగ్స్ ఉంటే త్వరగా కనెక్టవుతాయి. ఇందులో చాలా సీన్స్ నిజంగా జరిగినవే. క్యారెక్టర్స్ కూడా రియల్ లైఫ్ లో ఎవరో ఒకర్ని చూసి ఇన్స్పైర్ అయి రాసుకున్నవే. బన్నీ డెడికేషన్ అద్భుతం. చిత్తూరు స్లాంగ్ కోసం చాలా కష్టపడ్డాడు.
కొన్ని పాత్రలు కొందరు చేస్తేనే సూటవుతాయి. అలాంటి వారిలో రావు రమేష్ – సునీల్ ఉంటారు. పుష్పలో ఇద్దరి పాత్రలూ బాగా కుదిరాయి” అని సుకుమార్ చెప్పారు.
”పుష్ప చిత్రాన్ని హిందీలో రిలీజ్ చేయడానికి రాజమౌళి ఎంకరేజ్ మెంటే కారణం. ఎలాంటి ప్రమోషన్స్ చేయకపోయినా నార్త్ లో మంచి కలెక్షన్స్ వస్తున్నాయి. నిజానికి మాకు సమయం లేకపోవడం వల్లే సరైన పబ్లిసిటీ చేయలేకపోయాం. అన్ని విషయాల్లోనూ ప్రొడ్యూసర్స్ ఎంతో సపోర్ట్ చేశారు. సెకండ్ పార్ట్ అంతా డాన్ పుష్పరాజ్ గురించి కాదు.. రెడ్ శాండిల్ గురించే ఉంటుంది”
”మెయిన్ స్టోరీ అంతా ‘పుష్ప-2’ లోనే ఉంటుంది. పార్ట్-1 లో పాత్రలను మాత్రమే పరిచయం చేశాం. ఇవే క్యారెక్టర్స్ కంటిన్యూ అవుతాయి. ఎమోషనల్ సన్నివేశాలూ ఎక్కువే. ఫాదర్ – బ్రదర్స్ మధ్య బాండింగ్ లాంటివన్నీ చూపించి కన్క్లూజన్ ఇస్తాం.
రెండో భాగాన్ని వచ్చే దసరాకి విడుదల చేయాలని అనుకుంటున్నాం. లేదంటే మళ్లీ డిసెంబర్ లోనే రిలీజ్ చేసేలా ప్లాన్ చేస్తాం” అని సుకుమార్ చెప్పుకొచ్చారు.
కాగా ‘పుష్ప’ చిత్రాన్ని మైత్రీ మూవీ మేకర్స్ బ్యానర్ మీద నవీన్ ఎర్నేని – వై రవిశంకర్ నిర్మించారు. దేవిశ్రీప్రసాద్ సంగీతం సమకూర్చారు. మిరోస్లా కుబా బ్రోజెక్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ అందించారు. రెండో భాగాన్ని ”పుష్ప: ది రూల్” పేరుతో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకురానున్నారు. ఫిబ్రవరి – మార్చి నెలల్లో సెకండ్ పార్ట్ సెట్స్ మీదకు వెళ్లనుందని మేకర్స్ వెల్లడించారు.
Revanth Reddy: Do ‘justice’ to Inter students
HYDERABAD: Criticising the State government for the row over the Intermediate first year results and the resultant suicides due to despair, anger and protests by student unions, TPCC chief A Revanth Reddy on Sunday demanded ‘justice’ for the students considering the post-pandemic scenario.
In an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Revanth Reddy referred to 51 per cent of the students failing to clear the first year exams and lashed out at the Board of Intermediate for its “inept handling of the examinations.
He urged the State government to take the opinion of experts and take steps to mitigate the issue. Besides this, he urged the government to set up counseling centres to ensure that no more students resort to extreme steps unlike in 2019 when some 23 students committed suicide.
Satya Dev strikes strong with Godse teaser
With the title itself triggering a lot of curiosity, the teaser of Satya Dev-starrer Godse directed by Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi of Bluff Master fame has got all the elements to add more fuel to it. The teaser was launched by Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Running for 1.18 minutes, the teaser shows Satya Dev as a vigilante who single-handedly takes on corrupt politicians and system. Aishwarya Lekshmi appears as an investigation officer.
The teaser starts with former UN General Secretary Kofi Annan’s quote “Life is worthless when our degress do not fetch us the jobs we aspire for.”
After Bluff Master, Satya Dev and director Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi have joined hands for Godse, produced by C Kalyan on C K Screens banner. Nassar, Sayaji Shinde, Kishore, Adithya Menon and Brahmaji are part of the cast.
Apart from directing the film, Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film.
ED summons Aishwarya Rai in Panama Paper leak case
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.[/caption]The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in connection with the Panama paper leak case for allegedly violating FEMA.
A top ED official confirmed that she was summoned to join the probe by Monday.
“We summoned her for December 20. As of now we haven’t got any reply from her side. The summon was sent to her Mumbai residence,” said an ED official.
If she doesn’t join the probe, the ED will think of further legal action. They might seek legal opinion from the experts to decide the future course of action, added the official.
It isn’t the first time that the actor has been summoned in the case.
She was summoned earlier on two occasions. However, she didn’t join the probe. Earlier on November 9, Aishwarya was summoned to record her testimony in the case.
The ED had lodged a case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) after the Panama Papers showed how companies were set up in offshore islands to avoid taxes.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and others are named in the case.
VJ Sunny wins Bigg Boss Telugu 5 title
Well, it is official now. VJ Sunny who was a relatively unknown face before entering the Bigg Boss Telugu house had ended up winning the Bigg Boss title.
Sunny has won the Bigg Boss title and the same was confirmed through the finale episode that was aired today.
Sunny won the title while Shanmukh and Sriram came 2nd and 3rd respectively. Sunny is said to have won the title by a fair margin as he breezed past Shanmukh and Sriram in the audience poll.

New actresses to hit Telugu screens in 2021
Every year with new releases we have at least 50 to 55 new actresses joining film Industry and from them may be one or two grow popular. Some attain star status with just their first film and few others grow popular with time.
2021 had to discount for 2020 pandemic and after math. Releases were lot less this year but new actresses have hit the Telugu screen this year too. Among them these are the ones who attracted us and audiences too.

Shivani Rajasekhar decided to continue her father Rajasekhar and mother Jeevitha legacy as actors. Her sister Shivatmika also debuted few years ago. She acted in Adbutham film and got critical acclaim.
Faria Abdullah
Faria Abdullah hails from Hyderabad and she struggled as stage artist for few years to get noticed. She found her break with Anudeep’s Jathi Rathnalu. Her pairing with Naveen Polishetty won acclaim and her performance as “Chitti” also got good critical reviews. She will soon be seen in Bangarraju dancing for a special song with Nag and Naga Chaitanya. She has few films lined up too.

Priya Prakash Varrier, the National sensation disappointed with Check and Ishq films. She looked cute and acted even cute but that did not give her enough mileage to enter into the new year with positive results. Still, she has few more film opportunities to prove herself.

Koratala to reshoot portions of Acharya?
Koratala Siva was rumoured to be depressed and under severe pressure 6 months ago when second time lockdown was announced in the year, 2021.The director did not know if Ram Charan will be part of his film, Acharya or not. Mahesh Babu extended a friendly hand looking at the director’s situation that he can come in anytime for him.
But Ram Charan joined Acharya and the director got what he wanted Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan in one film. Pooja Hegde added to the much glamour quotient of the film alongside Kajal.Now, we got to hear that the director saw final rushes at a length and decided to take the opportunity to change few things. Chiranjeevi also agreed with director ideas and gave dates, accordingly, say sources.
The reshoots might happen by the end of next week and film release might be pushed to March as Bheemlanayak might need a new date.Mostly, Bheemlanayak starring Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati could go to February for release pushing Acharya to March. Let’s wait for official confirmation.
Pawan Kalyan to star in another remake?
The demand for remakes in Telugu and Hindi cinema industries have grown innumerably. Power star Pawan Kalyan, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Victory Venkatesh are going behind remakes like no one else.
Megastar Chiranjeevi announced two remake films out of his four upcoming projects. Pawan Kalyan completed 90% of Bheemlanayak film shooting and it is remake of Ayyapanum Koshiyum from Malayalam Cinema.
Rana Daggubati is cast in the film opposite Pawan Kalyan. Now, for same production house Sitara Entertainments, we hear that Pawan Kalyan agreed to do another film.This one will be remake of Samuthirakani’s Vinodhyan Seetham, say sources. According to the reports surfacing the director turned actor wants to bring his Tamil movie into Telugu.
Movie released on OTT and got good reviews. If Sithara will be involved Trivikram Srinivas will either produce or write the script for the film.Hence, we can assured about necessary changes to meet expectations of Pawan Kalyan fans. Nothing has been concretely confirmed yet. Let’s wait for official announcement.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda became a blockbuster and biggest ever grosser for the actor. Boyapati Srinu and Balakrishna combination completed hattrick of successful films with the film.Movie entered its third week and performed well even though Pushpa The Rise starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna released on 17th December all over.
Akhanda till now collected 70 crores share and crossed 115 crores gross globally. Movie did not get great critical acclaim but masses lapped it up.Even though ticket prices issue in Andhra Pradesh decreased the potential of the film’s business still it ended up earning profits to producer and marginal losses only to Andhra Pradesh distributors.
Jai Balayya song and the Akhanda Aghora portions from the film are getting good word even now.
