Loyal party workers tough questions flummox Chandrababu
Chandrababu Naidu is facing a strange predicament. Ever since he asked the party workers to work hard to ensure victory in 2024, he is getting thousands of responses. The only problem is that a majority of the responses have asked him why had ignored them all these days. Many have said that they had put in great efforts,but were never recognised. Some have reminded Chandrababu that they have been ignored while the party was in power.
Many have pointed out that after years of hard work, they were sidelined and someone with no history of party work has managed to get the tickets and land in plum posts. For these searing queries, Chandrababu Naidu has no answers. He is finding it difficult to convince them. In some instances, the party workers are also raising questions about only one community being given prominence.
TDP insiders say that Chandrababu Naidu has been discussing the issue with the party seniors and is mulling over what to do to convince these workers. The insiders say that Chandrababu cannot afford to lose them. Some party loyalists are also questioning as to why some leaders in Nellore, who have toiled hard for years, are being suspended. There are some bigwigs, who have compromised with the YSRCP. Why are they not being suspended, they asked.
There are also reports that some of the suspended leaders are now going around the town telling of the sacrifices they had made for the last two years and how their contribution was ignored. Some of them are complaining that they were not given a hearing and were not given an opportunity to explain their position.
Shanaya Kapoor tests positive for COVID-19
It appears like Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar’s residence had become a hotspot for COVID-19 after a few guests who attended his party tested positive for the virus.
We already reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora, Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor, who showed up at the party hosted by Karan on December 8, have tested positive for Covid-19.
Now, the latest news is that Maheep Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor has also tested positive for Coronavirus. The 22-year-old actress took to her Instagram story and released an official statement.
Her post read, “I have tested positive for Covid-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I’m feeling ok and have isolated myself. I had tested negative four days ago, however, while testing again as precaution, the results came positive. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested. Stay safe everyone!”
On the other side, Karan Johar, who tested negative for Covid, addressed the speculations and said that his house was certainly no “hotspot” of COVID.

Sharmila Reduced To A Joke
After months of utter quietitude, there seems to be some activity on the YSRTP front. For months, there was no activity in Lotus Pond and Sharmila did not even stir out of the comfort of her home. The state-wide yatra was drawing no crowds and was unable to create a buzz. So, Sharmila too halted her yatra. Now, at long last, there is some activity.
There are some joining in the party. Maheswaram assembly constituency TRS vice-president Edma Mohan Reddy has joined the YSRCP. Similarly, Malakpe BJP trader cell leader Naveen Rao and another leader Ravikumar have joined Sharmila’s party. Sharmila herself invited them into the party.
But the big question is what is the standing of these leaders in the public? How popular they are? Will they be able to influence the voters? Sources say these are small leaders of no consequence and that their joining will not have any impact. The real indication of popularity is when big names join the party.
Though Sharmila has been staging protests, holding fasts and taking out padayatra, the impact seems to be nothing. Many of the party leaders have already resigned from the party or have become inactive. Given this, how impactful the present joining would be? Will they add to Sharmila’s strength in any way? KCR’s district tours to start from December 19
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will undertake district tours starting with Wanaparthy on December 19. On the following day, Rao will visit in Jangaon district. The TRS extended executive committee meeting will be held at Telangana Bhavan on December 17, which will be chaired by Rao. TRS MPs, MLCs, MLAs, Zilla Parishad chairpersons, DCMS (District Cooperative Marketing Societies) presidents and others will take part in the meeting.
On December 18, the CM will hold a meeting with Collectors at Pragathi Bhavan to discuss the implementation of Dalit Bandhu in Huzurabad and four other mandals. The scheme will be grounded in these places before March 2022. In the same meeting, Rao will review the progress of paddy purchases.
Wanaparthy visit
On Sunday, Rao will visit Wanaparthy. He will inaugurate the district Collectorate and TRS party office building. He will also lay the foundation stone for the medical college. On December, 20, the CM will tour Jangaon and inaugurate the District Collectorate complex and participate in various developmental programmes.
Rao will soon visit Atchampet Assembly segment to inaugurate a 100-bed hospital there. He will lay a foundation stone for the Umamaheswara Lift Irrigation Scheme in Atchampet. segment. The CM will inaugurate district Collectorates in Nizamabad, Jagitial, Yadadri-Bhongiri and Vikarabad.
Krack actress on board for Samantha’s Yashoda
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has surely caught the attention of filmmakers after she delivered powerful performances in Krack and Naandhi. After signing for a handful of films in Tamil, the 36-year-old actress has now bagged an interesting project, which stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role.
We already reported that the Rangasthalam actress recently announced her next project, Yashoda, which will be made pan-India level.
The makers now welcomed Varalaxmi Sarathkumar into the project, and she has reportedly begun shooting for the film. Varalaxmi will be playing Madhubala in Yashoda.
Directed by duo Hari and Harish, the film is backed by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner. Yashoda will be released in five Indian languages – Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Mani Sharma will compose the music.
Besides Yashoda, Varalaxmi has Kaatteri, Pamban, Piranthal Parasakthi, Colors, Yaanai and Lagaam in her kitty.
