Telangana farmers facing problems as Centre changed its policy: KT Rama Rao

HYDERABAD: Alleging that paddy farmers in the State were facing problems only after the Centre changed its procurement policy, TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday pointed out that while the Union government wanted farmers not to raise paddy in Rabi, the State BJP leaders wanted them to go in for paddy cultivation.

“If the Centre says it will not procure rice, the farmers will not raise paddy in Rabi,” he said.

In a no-holds-barred attack on Bandi Sanjay Kumar and A Revanth Reddy, Rama Rao on Wednesday likened the BJP state president with an animal but claiming that the TPCC chief has ‘lost his mind’.

He branded Revanth Reddy as a ‘cheap’ person who has lost his mental faculties while wondering if Bandi Sanjay was a human being or an animal for calling Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao a “rice smuggler”.

“Bandi Sanjay is speaking nonsense, his utterances are those of a madman,” Rama Rao said.

He was addressing the gathering after welcoming Congress leader Ch Lakshmi Narasimha Rao into the party at Telangana Bhavan.

Rama Rao said that paddy production in 2014-15 was just 34.96 lakh tonnes in 2014-15, which was increased to 1.41 crore tonnes due to the proactive measures taken up by the State government.

He also accused Revanth Reddy of levelling baseless allegations against the government. “TPCC chief alleged that there was a scam to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore in Covid-19 vaccination. Where was the scope for a scam, when the Union government itself provided the vaccine?” Rama Rao wondered. He also refuted the allegations by Revanth Reddy that TRS MPs boycotted the Parliament only to cover up an alleged Rs 3,000 crore scam.

The TRS working president came down heavily on BJP MPs for calling the Chief Minister a “rice smuggler”. Why are these MPs so cheap in their behaviour?” he asked.

He also accused the Centre of failing to implement the assurances given in the AP Reorganisation Act.

Stating that both the Congress and the BJP have their bosses in Delhi, Rama Rao said that for the TRS, only the people were the boss.

RRR’s trailer has a handful of goosebump-inducing moments and it surely has what it takes to single-handedly build great buzz to the film ahead of its theatrical release.

Keeravani’s background score and Senthil Kumar’s splendid cinematography are of top tier quality. The visual storytelling appears to be bang on point.

RRR will be arriving in theatres on the 7th of January 2022 and if this trailer is anything to go by, we are in for a mass feast.

Bollywood star couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are set to enter the wedlock in a few hours from now. The couple will be getting married on the 9th of December at a private wedding hall in Jaipur, Rajasthan.Well, the Katrina – Vicky wedding is the most talked about topic on social media and understandably so. Now, we are hearing that OTT streaming giant Amazon Prime Video has shelled out as much as Rs 80 crores for the video rights of the wedding. They will be exclusively covering the wedding and compile a video from the footage shot at the location.The footage will then be edited and later be made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video platform. An official announcement on the same will be out soon.

This is the first time Amazon Prime has acquired the video rights of a wedding ceremony in India. Moreover, they have shelled out a whopping Rs 80 crores for the same which is another unprecedented development.

SS Rajamouli and Prabhas are two big brands in Telugu and Indian Cinema, today. Both of them have achieved National wide fame with Baahubali films.Prabhas being the face of the character, his image will have higher market value than others, obviously and that’s seen with Saaho too.

Saaho took a huge opening and even collected close to Rs. 90 crores in Telugu states and crossed Rs. 100 crores Nett in Hindi markets.

Prabhas proved his box office pull with Saaho kind of a week film but SS Rajamouli took his time to let the Baahubali wave die and then annouced another stormy sensational combination, a film with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan together.

RRR has achieved hype and national media attention just with the annoucement. Now, aa both are ready for release and hopefully release on 7th January, 2022 and 14th January, 2022 respectively, without any delay, then we can see whose brand image – Rajamouli’s or Prabhas’s has more marketability in Hindi markets.

In South States, definitely Rajamouli combined with Ram Charan, Jr. NTR will create a tsunami. But in North, only Rajamouli has greater image.Looks like Baahubali creators will have to fight it out during Sankranti 2022 for upper hand in Hindi markets. It will be interesting to see if viewers prefer director’s film or an actor’s film to watch.

Megastar Chiranjeevi earned name as Khaidi but his police movies have been well received too. Even though he created waves at box office with “Donga” movies, every now and then, his police avatar films have hit the mark too.

More importantly Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri has turned out to be best mass masala undercover cop movie. Many tried to repeat the same but failed.We hear that now Chiranjeevi is going to appear as a cop that too undercover cop in his 154th film. Bobby is directing the film and he wrote the screenplay too.

The team started shooting and Bobby said that Chiru will be seen in a never before get-up. Buzz is that Chiru will have a distinctive name “Waltair Verayya” alike “Auto Johnny” in this film.The film team will reveal more details officially during Sankranti, say reports. RRR is the talk of the town now. The mega budget periodic action drama, featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles is gearing up for its theatrical release on the 7th of January 2022 and the stakes are exceptionally high on the same.

Now, a new multi-starrer and a big one at it is under consideration. Apparently, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan might be coming together for a mega multi-starrer.Vamshi Paidipally, who will soon start working with Thalapathy Vijay for Thalapathy66 is contemplating a film that will mark the coming together of Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu.

Vamshi is excited about the prospect of bringing Mahesh and Charan together for a multi-starrer but everything depends on the script he pens. Both Charan and Mahesh will come on board for the project only if Vamshi Paidipally can come up with a winning script that has what it takes to cater to pan-India audience.

This project is still in early stages of discussion and the chances of it actually materializing are pretty bleak for now.

Pushpa The Rise is releasing on 17th December. The movie buzz is high and people have great expectations from Arya combination – Allu Arjun and Sukumar. Director and writer Sukumar very confidently said at an event that after Pushpa, Allu Arjun will be known as an Icon and hence, he awarded him the title Icon Star as well.

But the Theatrical trailer is getting very mixed response. Some liked it and some expected lot more. Some are calling it a full film version of Chatrapathi first half.

Well, the movie story and screenplay seem to have been molded on the likes of KGF Chapter 1 too. It is Allu Arjun’s performance that holds key for the film to become as big a blockbuster as the team is hoping it would be. They have a second part planned already.

The movie business has been completed at high prices even though there are problems like low pricing and less shows in Andhra Pradesh state. Still, the distributors have valued the rights of the film at close to Rs. 70 crores in AP alone.

Akhanda took a massive opening for Balakrishna’s market strength, but still it is unable to recover Rs. 36 crores from AP market only, in the first week. It has to have a great run for another two weeks to be a profit zone in the state without any doubt. Movie did not get must watch blockbuster talk and that slowed it down during weekdays.

So, Pushpa needs Blockbuster talk that will keep the movie alive till 7th January, when massive RRR will arrive at the theatres. To recover 70 crores and to become profitably, the film needs to get Rangasthalam type Word of Mouth and trailer doesn’t give such an impression.

RRR, Acharya, Bheemlanayak, RadheShyam teams will closely observe Pushpa trends and there could be an extra pressure on government from these film teams to give them some form of hike or permission to play extra shows at theatres.

Pushpa Theatrical rights have been valued at Rs. 135 crores worlwide and Rs. 110 crores is expected from Telugu States only. Nizam area will have to perform on par with Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo for movie to recover the business.

On the whole, Pushpa, RRR and RadheShyam will definitely show producers and directors, industry how to tackle with prevailing issues and move forward one way or the other.

Director Meher Ramesh who took a long sabbatical from directing after delivering duds like ‘Shakti’ and ‘Shadow’ is finally aiming to make a comeback with ‘Bhola Shankar’. This film is a remake of Tamil star hero Ajith’s ‘Vedhalam’ which came out in 2015. Megastar Chiranjeevi is playing the title role in this movie which has National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh playing the role of his sister. This is a huge action film while he is also working on a mythological drama named ‘Adipurush’ which is directed by Om Raut. Kriti Sanon is the heroine while Saif Ali Khan is the villain in this project. He even kickstarted Nag Ashwin’s high-budget time travelling project. Deepika Padukone is the heroine in this film while Amitabh Bachchan plays a key role.

Veteran producer Allu Aravind is considered as one of the most forward thinking persons in the film industry. Many say that he is up to date on all the trends in the market which is the main reason behind his success and longevity. Apart from producing huge films under ‘Geetha Arts’ banner, he floated ‘GA2 Pictures’ and made numerous small and mid-level films which earned him bags of profits. There are a couple of crazy projects which are being made under their banner right now.

Soon after the humongous success of ‘Baahubali’, Allu Aravind decided to make an epic film titled ‘Ramayan’ with a grand budget of 500 crores. He team up with a few other big producers and announced it officially. He planned to bring big stars from both North and South Indian onboard. It was one of the most talked films in India but the film never went on the floors.

‘Ramayan’ was supposed to be made in three installments and movie lovers waited eagerly for the cast to be revealed. Due to the lockdown, the film got delayed and the present financial situation of the Indian film industry made everyone think that Allu Aravind may have shelved this project and it may not be feasible. But reports suggest that Allu Aravind and team are still keen on making this film. Insiders say that Allu Aravind is currently pooling up the funds to make this prestigious project happen.

There is no clarity about the actors in this high-budget movie and we need to see what happens in the coming days. Interestingly, Prabhas has already completed the shooting of ‘Adipurush’ which is based on our epic Hindu mythology Ramayana. Om Raut is the director and the ‘Baahubali’ star will be seen as lord Ram in this visual wonder while Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita. Bollywood star hero Saif Ali Khan will be seen as the antagonist Lankesh in this multilingual project produced by T-Series. It is to be seen if Allu Aravind’s ‘Ramayan’ still holds the buzz despite Prabhas’ ‘Adipurush’ which is expected to release during the latter half of 2022.
