Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy is on a three-day tour titled Jana Ashirwada Yatra that aims at explaining the schemes and programmes that were brought by Narendra Modi under his tenure as Prime Minister.

Unlike other yatras, the Jana Ashirwada Yatra will be held at selected places by covering eight parliamentary constituencies.

He started the Jana Ashirwada Yatra at the temple city Tirupati and covered the Vijayawada constituency too. He will reach Telangana by today evening and cover the remaining constituencies.

While the BJP is pinning hopes that the Yatra will help the party in getting strong in Telugu states, we have to see how the Yatra can help the party.

The main thing that is stopping the BJP from establishing itself as one of the leading parties in Andhra Pradesh is lack of active participation of leaders in the events.

Unless there is any election, we hardly see any leaders from the Andhra Pradesh wing of BJP in the state. The voters are also not taking the party seriously.

Compared to Andhra Pradesh, the BJP situation is better in Telangana, the saffron party has representation in Assembly and the Lok Sabha as well.

Kishan Reddy addressed the media after offering prayers to lord Venkateswara in Tirupati and said, the Centre is bound to help Andhra Pradesh and urged the people to support the leadership of Narendra Modi.

The Union Minister said, after the state was bifurcated, the Centre granted various educational institutions like IITs and IIMs. Several industrial parks were also allotted, he said.

In recent times, no leader from the BJP camp held such yatras. This made the BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh to give a stunning welcome to Kishan Reddy who is on a Yatra.

Kishan Reddy, a BJP MP from Secunderabad constituency was promoted as the Union Minister as part of the reshuffle of Narendra Modi’s cabinet. He was made the North Eastern Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development.

The current Yatra he is holding marks the first program Kishan Reddy started after he was made the Union Minister. He received a good response in Andhra Pradesh and we have to see how his yatra in Telangana constituencies will turn out.

Nani’s Tuck Jagadish is the latest Telugu film to skip theatrical release and premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video. Yesterday, Nani shared a thoughtful note on the direct to digital release of Tuck Jagadish. “I am quite torn between the pressures the producers are facing in these uncertain times with big stakes at risk and the fan boy of theatres in me, who wants to watch the film with all of you first day – first show,” Nani said, while adding that Tuck Jagadish was meant for a big-screen experience.With the unpredictable conditions here and abroad and the unfortunate restrictions on theatres in Andhra, it has become a conflict of many ways. I. have the utmost respect for the producers and I believe any call regarding the film they make, should be theirs. So here I am, at cross roads for the second time! Leaving the decision about Tuck Jagadish to SHINE SCREENS and all stake holders and will humbly accept their final decision. No matter what, I will do my ,100% till it reaches all of you in whatever way,” Nani wrote yesterday.

Tuck Jagadish is all set for Amazon Prime Video premieres on 10th September. Apparently, the makers had a struck a deal with Amazon Prime around two months ago. Even after closing the deal with Amazon Prime, the producers kept details about the same under the wraps for reasons best known to them.

Nani, who always bats for theatrical releases hoped Tuck Jagadish would make it to theatres soon after favourable conditions emerge. But that wasn’t to be. The makers has locked the OTT deal with Amazon Prime Video already and there simply was no looking back ever after. Nani then had no other option but to act in the best interests of his producers.

The makers of Tuck Jagadish reportedly made Rs 37 crores by selling the direct to digital rights of the film. They recovered all of their investment and even made sizeable profits through the deal. They are happy with the financial prospects of the film. Amazon Prime will be officially announcing Tuck Jagadish’s release date in a couple of days from now.

Every acre in Sircilla will get water: Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao

RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: Pointing out that efforts are on to make Rajanna-Sircilla throb with agricultural activities, MAUD Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao said that every inch of arable land in the district will receive irrigation water as per the plans of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He was holding a review meeting with senior officials of the State Irrigation Department, district administration officials and legislators at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, on Wednesday.

“The CM has envisioned to provide water to as many acres as possible with the construction of new irrigation projects and also with the expansion of existing projects across the State. Though the officials concerned have already managed to increase the area of cultivable land in the district, with the arrival of KLIS water, they are going all out to increase it further,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rama Rao advised the authorities to draw micro-level plans to utilise available irrigation water effectively, so that it can be diverted to ponds and other small water bodies in the district. He has also advised the officials to seek suggestions from farmers and local people’s representatives.

After reviewing the progress of projects, the Minister sought details about various ongoing developmental programmes in the district from MLAs Ch Ramesh Babu, Rasamai Balakishan, Sunke Ravikumar and others. Asserting that the State government will provide them all necessary assistance to expedite developmental and welfare programmes in the district, Rama Rao directed the officials to focus on works that require immediate attention. He also directed the authorities to prepare a comprehensive report detailing ongoing irrigation works.

Next Sankranthi season is going to be an eventful one for Telugu cinema followers as several biggies have locked release slots next festival season. Bheemla Nayak, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Radhe Shyam are announced for Sankranthi 2022 release. These much-awaited biggies will be releasing on 12th, 13th, and 14th January next year. Tollywood followers are eager to witness the high-octane clash between these three big-ticket films next Sankranthi season. The stakes are particularly high on all these three A-lister projects. However, a wild speculation surrounding the release dates of these biggies is sparking a debate on social media.

As per this speculation, Pawan Kalyan – Rana’s Bheemla Nayak will be pushed to January 26th, which marks Republic Day and Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya will be occupying its initial release date – 12th January. It is said that the makers of Acharya got to an agreement with the makers of Bheemla Nayak and the film’s release date will be announced very soon. The whole point behind this particular rumor is that Bheemla Nayak will be pushed to Republic Day release, while Acharya will be releasing during the Sankranthi season.

Well, the makers of Bheemla Nayak had announced the release date much in advance and they have already started whirlwind promotions. There is more than enough time to wrap up the shoot and prepare the final cut as Sankranthi is still 4 months from now. There is absolutely no reason for the film to be postponed until and unless the 3rd wave of Covid hits the Telugu states.

As for Acharya, the film is in the final leg of the shoot and the remaining portion can be shot at a brisk pace once the shoot resumes. Given the fact that the shooting is close to completion, the makers will be eyeing the earliest possible release slot for the film. As things stand, the Dasara release slot is widely open. RRR, which had occupied Dasara release is set to be postponed to a later date. So, Acharya can gladly take up the 13th October release slot. The same is the intention of the makers of the Koratala Siva directorial as well. It can be understood that Acharya will release this Dasara while Bheemla Nayak sticks to its Sankranthi release prospect.

HYDERABAD: Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy’s Jana Ashirwada Yatra will enter the State from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The three-day tour, launched with an objective to explain Prime Minister Narendra Modi welfare schemes and development programmes to the people, will cover eight parliamentary constituencies. The BJP has made elaborate arrangements to receive the Union Minister at Nallabandagudem in Kodada Assembly constituency.

During his tour, Kishan Reddy will felicitate Venkateshwarlu, an organic farming expert, Padmashri Chintikindi Mallesham, who invented the Aasu machine for the benefit of weavers, and freedom fighter and Jana Sangh Karyakarta Prathap Reddy.

It is all but confirmed that RRR will not be releasing on 13th October. This leaves the Dasara slot wide open for other Telugu films and quite a few biggies are eyeing the release window now.

Apparently, the makers of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda and Akhi’s Most Eligible Bachelor are eyeing RRR’s release date now.

It is heard that the makers of Most Eligible Bachelor have locked 13th October as the film’s release date. Even Balakrishna’s Akhanda is said to be eyeing 13th October release.

It appears to be that the makers of both Most Eligible Bachelor and Akhanda want to pick up RRR’s release date – 13th October. They have been acting accordingly.

If neither of them back down, these two films might be locking horns at the box office this Dasara season. While Most Eligible Bachelor’s shoot has been wrapped up already, Akhanda is in the final leg of the shoot. Balakrishna is yet to shoot for a couple of songs.

Crazy Uncles, starring Sreemukhi, has landed in a controversy after several women’s rights activists of Telangana Mahila Hakkula Vedika lodged a complaint against the film alleging that the trailer portrays women in a derogatory manner.

Alleging the dialogues in the trailer humiliated women, Telangana Mahila Aikya Vedika secretary Ratna demanded that they should be removed immediately. She said it is sad to make films that would have a profound impact on the Indian family system.

Creating humour in the name of women is cruel. She also said that they would not tolerate films that mislead society, spoil human relations and spoil the harmony between husband and wife. They demanded the immediate cessation of films that destroy society and the removal of objectionable dialogues in the film Crazy Uncles.

Rekha, president of the Telangana Women’s Rights Forum, said, “It doesn’t matter if you don’t do good to the society, but don’t spoil it.” She warned that the release of the film on the 19th of this month should be stopped. She said that those who make objectionable films have no right to live in society.

Crazy Uncles has been released on the big screens today (August 19). The film is directed by E Sathi Babu and it stars Singer Mano and Raja Ravindra in the lead roles.

HYDERABAD: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, came down heavily on TRS government for humiliating the SC officers while supporting and encouraging the officers of the upper castes. Addressing a huge gathering at Dalita Girijana Dandora at Raviryal village in Maheshwaram of Rangareddy district, the Congress leader questioned the hype being created over posting of Rahul Bojja, an IAS officer belonging to SC community, as Secretary CMO. He said that contrary to the claims of the government that the SC officials were being given their rightful position, they were resigning from the posts.
“After Jayashankar-Bhupalpally Collector A Murali’s resignation, the fresh case is that of ex-IPS officer Praveen Kumar, who had quit unable to bear embarrassment. That KCR is caste conscious became evident during the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind. The president never got the respect from him the way former Governor ESL Narasimhan or former President Pranab Mukherjee did,” he said.

He ridiculed MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao for spinning a “yarn” about his political struggle at interaction with students on Tuesday and wondered how it was possible for him that his father did not know about his growth as a politician.

“Who is he trying to fool? It is a well-known fact that KTR would not do anything without the knowledge and consent of his father. KCR made room for his son by throwing by the wayside leaders like KK Mahender Reddy, which is an open secret,” he said. Apparently, he is putting his heart and soul into the project as he is determined to deliver a blockbuster album for Pawan Kalyan again after Vakeel Saab. He is equally focused on the background score for the film. Thaman intends to deliver one of his career best works for the Pawan Kalyan and Rana starrer and he is acting accordingly.

The first single from the film’s audio album, La la Bheemla is set to be unveiled on 2nd September, which marks Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. A glimpse of this song was given in the teaser that was dropped very recently and it has caught on with the netizens. It carries an energetic vibe and is more or less a revamped version of the title song in the original, Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Thaman plans to come up with an impressive overall album as he is determined to deliver on the big stage.
