With savings of up to ₹25,000 across its premium technology portfolio, the campaign strategically aims to capture early festive-season spending.
The most significant reductions are concentrated in Dyson’s hair care and floor care categories—segments in which the brand continues to hold strong market leadership.
In hair care, several flagship styling tools have been marked down to compelling price points. The Dyson Airstrait Straightener sees one of the biggest drops, from ₹45,900 to ₹29,900, while the Dyson Corrale Hair Straightener is available at the same price, reduced from ₹43,900. US Court Strikes Down EB-5 Visa Fee Hike

In a major relief for EB-5 visa applicants, a U.S. district court has invalidated the substantial fee hikes introduced in April 2024, restoring the earlier and significantly lower fee structure with immediate effect. The ruling benefits thousands of global investors, including hundreds from India, who rely on the EB-5 program as a pathway to U.S. permanent residency.
U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney held that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) implemented the fee increases without conducting a mandatory fee study, as required by the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act (RIA). The court’s finding has opened the door to potential restitution claims, with a class-action lawsuit expected to follow.
Attorneys representing the plaintiffs, including the American Immigrant Investor Alliance (AIIA), welcomed the judgment, calling the fee hike “brazenly illegal and at odds with the RIA.” As a result, fees for key EB-5 forms have reverted to pre-April 2024 levels: the Form I-526E filing fee drops from $11,160 to $3,675, and Form I-829 lowers from $9,525 to $3,750.
The EB-5 program enables foreign nationals to obtain a U.S. green card through an investment of $800,000 to $1.05 million in job-creating ventures, requiring the creation of at least 10 full-time American jobs. The route continues to gain traction among Indian H-1B professionals and high-net-worth individuals due to faster processing times compared to traditional employment-based immigration categories.
Between April 2022 and January 2025, 9,878 EB-5 petitions were filed, with India accounting for 1,790 applications—18 percent of the total—according to FOIA data obtained by AIIA. China remained the largest source market, contributing over half of all filings.
AIIA noted that the ruling is particularly meaningful as it affirms the organization’s legal standing to represent EB-5 investors. The court also rejected government claims of “no injury,” finding that doubling fees without a fee study caused measurable harm.
While the fee hike has been stayed, the broader litigation continues. A joint status report is expected in January 2026, and AIIA is evaluating further legal action to recover excess fees paid since April 2024. An appeal by the Department of Homeland Security remains possible, potentially extending the case’s legal trajectory.
Ronil Hira on H-1B Debate: Why US Firms Prefer Visa Workers

Indian-origin Howard University professor and long-time H-1B critic Ronil Hira has offered a sharp assessment of the latest controversy surrounding America’s most debated work visa. Calling it “a no-brainer,” Hira said the reason US companies overwhelmingly prefer H-1B workers is straightforward: they can legally pay them less and exercise more control over them compared to domestic employees.
His remarks come amid mounting confusion over the political messaging around the program. The debate reignited after President Donald Trump, in a recent FOX interview, adopted an unexpectedly softer tone by acknowledging that the US “needs certain types of foreign talent.” This shift surprised many, since it followed his administration’s imposition of a $100,000 visa fee per H-1B hire, one of the most punitive measures ever introduced. The contradictory signals have left portions of the MAGA base perplexed.
‘Cheaper Labour’ and Greater Control
Hira pointed to high-profile cases at Disney and the University of California, where American workers were reportedly required to train their own H-1B replacements. Such examples, he argued, challenge the narrative that most H-1B hires are high-skilled specialists.
“Most people coming to the US on H-1B visas have ordinary skills — skills readily available among American workers,” Hira said. “But employers prefer H-1B workers because they can legally be paid less and because they are controllable, as they are essentially indentured to their employers.”
The real challenge, he noted, is ensuring that the visa genuinely addresses skill shortages rather than functioning as a source of cheaper, more compliant labour. “There are very highly qualified people who come on H-1Bs. The issue is how to fix the program so that it is truly targeted at genuine skill gaps.”
A Labour Policy, Not an Immigration Policy
Hira stressed that H-1B should be understood as a labour market tool, not an immigration pathway.
“H-1B is a guest worker program. You are injecting workers into the labour market,” he explained. “There must be a high bar for introducing workers who have fewer rights, weaker protections, and effectively operate as second-class participants in the workforce.”
He argued that these structural imbalances explain why major tech companies continue to advocate strongly for the program. “Any guest worker system needs robust worker protection. H-1B has very weak protections — and that’s precisely why Silicon Valley loves it.”
Akhanda 2 Poised for Record-Breaking Release

Nandamuri Balakrishna is gearing up to return to the big screen next month with his highly anticipated film Akhanda 2. Ahead of its release, industry expectations are soaring, with reports suggesting the film is positioned to create box office history. According to Telugu360, the sequel is being planned on an unprecedented scale, including a special global 3D release to enhance the cinematic experience.

Balakrishna reprises his powerful role from the first installment, reuniting with director Boyapati Srinu — a combination that has consistently delivered major blockbusters such as Simha, Legend, and Akhanda. This strong track record has contributed to the heightened expectations surrounding the sequel.
Produced by 14 Reels Plus with a significant budget to ensure grandeur, Akhanda 2 is presented by Tejaswini Nandamuri. Actor Aadhi Pinisetty also plays a key role in the film. The team has confirmed that both distribution and digital rights deals are already finalized, further reflecting the industry’s confidence in the project.
With its release slated for December 5, the team expects a robust opening at the box office. Backed by a successful franchise, a powerful lead performance, large-scale production values, and the added dimension of 3D, Akhanda 2 is being positioned as a major theatrical event.
