Pooja Hegde Shifts Focus to Tamil Cinema with Multiple New Projects

Pooja Hegde, who began her acting journey over a decade ago, has worked across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil industries. She rose to prominence in Tollywood after starring alongside top heroes like Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, and Ram Charan. However, after the pandemic, her focus shifted to Bollywood, where success proved elusive despite big opportunities.
Now, Pooja appears to be realigning her career toward Tamil cinema. Following Beast with
Thalapathy Vijay, she has signed multiple Kollywood projects. She recently appeared in Retro opposite Suriya and made a special cameo in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
The actress is reuniting with Vijay for Jana Nayagan and has also joined the cast of Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana 4. Additionally, she’s in talks for a Dhanush film directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Amaran fame.
On the Telugu front, things are relatively quiet for Pooja. She has one project with Dulquer Salmaan, but her last major Tollywood film was nearly four years ago. Reports suggest she might collaborate with Nani in Sujeeth’s next, though an official confirmation is awaited.
With several Tamil films lined up and fewer Telugu commitments, it seems Pooja Hegde is consciously shifting her focus toward Kollywood — a move that could redefine her career path in South Indian cinema.Pooja Hegde, who began her acting journey over a decade ago, has worked across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil industries. Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kaantha’ Set for Worldwide Release on 14th November

Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film Kaantha has created significant anticipation ahead of its release. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati, the film has been described by both producers as a “rare cinematic experience” that celebrates the magic of cinema. The ensemble cast also features Rana Daggubati, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashri Borse.
Rana Daggubati confirmed that Kaantha is a fictional story inspired by the dynamics of the 1950s film industry, exploring conflicts between two legendary artists striving for perfection. He consulted with his father, Suresh Babu, whose experience in those studios provided invaluable technical insights, helping the team authentically recreate that era.
On the technical front, Rana revealed that the production team went to great lengths to ensure period accuracy, sourcing rare equipment and props previously used on legendary films such as Patala Bhairavi. They also enlisted hand-painting artists to design the posters, highlighting their commitment to authenticity. The cinematography is handled by Dani Sanchez-Lopez, known for Mahanati, whose unique vision brings an “epic feeling” to the film.
Both Dulquer and Rana expressed their passion for cinema as the motivation for producing and starring in the film. They praised director Selvamani Selvaraj, noting that his impeccable vision will be fully realized when Kaantha releases worldwide on 14th November.
Jagan Mohan Reddy Accuses Chandrababu Naidu of “Credit-Chori” in Housing Projects

YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of blatant “credit-chori,” claiming that Naidu was shamelessly taking credit for housing projects that were initiated, sanctioned, and largely executed under the YSRCP government.
Taking to social media, Jagan asserted that in the past 18 months, Chandrababu Naidu’s administration did not acquire a single square yard for the poor, did not grant even one house site, did not sanction a single house, and did not spend a paisa on such housing. Yet, he is now publicly claiming that his government has built all the houses. Jagan called this a disgraceful attempt to convert others’ labor into personal glory, stating that someone who steals credit for others’ hard work is not a leader but merely a “playwright.”
Jagan highlighted that of the 300,092 houses Naidu boasts about, not one house-pattadar (site title) was issued nor a single house sanctioned by the current government. He clarified that under YSRCP rule, 140,010 houses were at the finishing stage, 87,380 raised to slab level, and 66,845 were under construction. He also reminded the public of the historic 743,396 house-warming ceremonies held on October 12, 2023.
The YSRCP government had issued 31.19 lakh house site pattas to poor women across 71,800 acres, sanctioned 21.75 lakh houses, and even amid disruptions, maintained progress on these projects. Jagan criticized Naidu’s administration for locking up remaining vacant plots meant for housing the poor and using “yellow media” to claim credit for YSRCP’s accomplishments.
He concluded that claiming others’ ideas and hard work, trying to grab house sites meant for the poor, and publicizing false achievements exemplifies Chandrababu Naidu’s “credit-chor” tactics, which Jagan said are deplorable and cannot go unchallenged.
Case Filed Against Ambati Rambabu for Unlawful Rally in Guntur

Police in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, have registered a case against former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Ambati Rambabu and others for unlawful assembly and threatening police officers on duty. Rambabu and his supporters held a rally without police permission, and when stopped, allegedly threatened police officials. The case has been filed at Pattabhipuram Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including assaulting or using criminal force against public servants to prevent them from performing their duties, Section 126(2) – wrongful restraint, Section 351(3) – criminal intimidation, and Section 189(2) – unlawful assembly.
Authorities noted that the unauthorized rally disrupted traffic and inconvenienced the public. Police stated that Rambabu was informed by DSP Arvind and CI Ganga Venkateshwarlu that the rally lacked permission, yet he and his supporters proceeded, attempting to remove barricades and arguing with the police. Similar cases have been filed against Rambabu in the past during YSRCP-led protests on various issues.
The rally was part of a statewide protest by YSRCP against the privatization of medical colleges. YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed support on X, highlighting the public’s strong opposition. He said the massive rallies across all 175 constituencies reflect the collective voice of the people and praised citizens, YSRCP cadre, leaders, and like-minded organizations for standing united to defend public education and healthcare. He emphasized that people value social welfare over private gain and are determined to safeguard the state’s future.
Jagan Mohan Reddy added that despite police attempts to stop the rallies, people participated peacefully and courageously, demonstrating the democratic spirit of the state. He demanded that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu respect public sentiment and immediately withdraw the decision to privatize medical colleges.

Operation Sindoor Part 2” Rumors Emerge After Red Fort Blast

Reports from political and security circles suggest that “Operation Sindoor Part 2” could be back on the table following the recent car-bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that those responsible will be brought to justice, and investigations are ongoing at multiple levels. While officials have not officially named any country in connection with the incident, some analysts note that the attack bears patterns allegedly linked to actors across the border. However, no formal attribution has been made.
Sources close to Delhi’s power corridors claim that the supposed “pause button” on Operation Sindoor may soon be lifted, signaling that a more assertive security response is under consideration. There is, however, no information regarding timing, and experts suggest that any such action, if it occurs, would likely be executed without prior notice.
At present, these discussions remain speculative, as authorities continue their investigation into the blast.

Nagarjuna Akkineni has been enthusiastically promoting the re-release of his classic film Shiva, engaging with media, attending events, and giving interviews as if it were a brand-new release. It’s no surprise, as Shiva remains a landmark in his career, and 2025 marks a golden year for Annapurna Studios.

#King100 is said to feature three heroines, with Tabu playing a pivotal role, Sushmita Bhatt in another key part, and a young actress cast as the main lead, promising a mix of talent and fresh energy for this milestone film.
