Rumour: Venky Kudumula convinces Charan

Share

In this corona times, many rumours have made it to the headlines about big heroes and their future projects. Stars who have confirmed their forthcoming films, are safe from these rumours but those heroes who did not sign any film are always in the news.

Megapowerstar Ram Charan was most among them. Post ‘RRR’ Charan will be doing an extended role in ‘Acharya.’ This is confirmed long back but what is Charan’s next after these two projects? Some said that Charan will team up with ‘Jersey’ director Gautham Tinnanuri for a love story. But no word about this combination arrived.

Now another rumour is making noise that ‘Bheeshma’ director Venky Kudumula has convinced Charan. Recently the director met the mega hero and gave a single line narration. Impressed by it Charan asked the director to develop the complete script and assured to work if things fall in the right place.

Having delivered back-to-back hits, Venky has earned a craze and also the tag of bankable director. But all these are just rumours and we need to wait for a source to acknowledge them.

Hope Charan decides upon his future project at the earliest as fans also do want to hear something from him.

Ganta Bypasses Sai Reddy To Join YSRC?

Share

After a brief lull, the talk of former minister and senior TDP legislator from Visakhapatnam (north) Ganta Srinivasa Rao joining the ruling YSRCP has started doing rounds again in the media circles.

Going by this talk, Ganta had been sending feelers to YSRC president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy through friends closer to the latter and after a series of negotiations, Jagan is learnt to have given green signal for Ganta’s defection.

If everything works out as per the negotiations, Ganta will, in all probability, join the YSR Congress party by August 15, at the time of launching of the Jagananna Housing Scheme in a big way.

Surprisingly, according to these speculations, the negotiations between Ganta and Jagan’s close aides had taken place without taking YSRC general secretary and parliamentary party leader V Vijaya Sai Reddy into the loop, though the latter has been made in-charge of the party affairs in the north-coastal Andhra.

It was only recently that Sai Reddy made some critical comments against Ganta Srinivasa Rao on his Twitter with regard to a bicycle scam. Apparently, Sai Reddy is dead against Ganta joining the YSRC.

Similarly, another minister from Visakhapatnam Avanti Srinivas, who represents Bhimili assembly constituency, is also strongly resisting the entry of Ganta Srinivasa Rao all these days.

Avanti, considered to be a close associate of Sai Reddy, recently commented that Ganta is going to be the next TDP leader to face the arrest.

It remains to be seen how far the reports of Ganta joining the YSRC are true. But it is no surprise, as anything might happen in politics any time.

Ganta To Jump To YCP: Who Are Opposing?

Share

Ever since TDP lost the polls badly in 2019, there have been rumours about former HRD minister and ex MLA from Bhimili Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s dissent against the party. For the past 1 year, rumours about Ganta quitting TDP propped up on several occasions and there were speculations that he would join YCP. However, Ganta had never openly denied his plans to leave the TDP. But the latest political developments in Visakhapatnam indicate that Ganta’s exit from TDP is almost confirmed.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao is said to be holding high-level talks with YCP’s top leadership. Interestingly, Ganta had sent feelers to CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy through a close leader to him. And CM Jagan is also contemplating the idea. However, YS Jagan’s close confidant and party’s general secretary and Vizag’s incharge Vijay Sai Reddy isn’t happy with the move. Apparently, Vijay Sai Reddy has been opposing Ganta’s entry into the party. Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao aka Avanthi Srinivas, who won against Ganta from Bhimili in 2019, is also strongly opposing Ganta entering into the party.

Vijay Sai Reddy is extremely unhappy that Ganta has surpassed him and approached party chief YS Jagan directly. He is also not comfortable with Ganta disturbing the party activities in Vizag. Sai Reddy is fearing that Ganta’s entry could affect the party leadership in the district. Meanwhile, Sai Reddy who tested positive for Corona Virus has been staying away from party activities. This could be the right time for Ganta to move the things faster.

Speculations are rife that CM Jagan has given his nod for Ganta joining YCP. Since he is not even MLA, Ganta need not resign his seat to join the party. So there is no stopping Ganta’s entry into YCP. Ganta is all set to give a rude shock to TDP the party which made him MLA twice (2004, 2014), MP (1999) from and minister (2014). This is not the first time for Ganta to leave TDP. Earlier, he had left TDP to join Chiranjeevi’s PRP in 2009 and won as MLA from Anakapalli on PRP. He had subsequently served as minister in CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s cabinet when PRP was merged into Congress. He later returned to TDP after state bifurcation. So, for Ganta, changing parties isn’t new. One has to wait and watch how Vijay Sai and Avanthi Srinivas would take this.

Prof. Nageshwar Analysis – Guv Orders On Nimmagadda Issue

Share

As the state government continues to remain adamant over its stand on restoring the office of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as State Election Commissioner(SEC) despite the Governor’s directions, the political and constitutional row continues to linger.

As per the High Court instructions, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar met Governor and submitted a representation requesting him to intervene. The Governor has clearly directed the state government to take necessary action as per the High Court orders.

The YSR Congress picks up a row over the semantics in the content of the Governors letter to state government. The ruling party argues that the Governor has not explicitly ordered for the restoration of Ramesh Kumar’s position.

Certainly, it would have been better if the august office of the Governor has taken a proactive initiative to convince the state government so as to put an end to this unpleasant standoff and prevent squandering away of people’s money over undesirable and unnecessary legal rigmarole.

But, Governor in his own wisdom has chosen to issue a very formal direction, perhaps with an intention to keep himself away from the acrimonious political slug fest. The governor cannot be faulted for this rather cautious approach.

But, this cautious approach of the governor does not rob the essence from his orders. He has clearly instructed the government to implement the high court orders. The Para 318 of the high court order clearly states, ” The Respondent-State is directed to restore the position of Dr.N.Ramesh Kumar as State Election Commissioner and allow him to continue in the office until completion of the tenure.”

The state government certainly has the right to appeal in the apex court over the high court orders and did so too. But, supreme court refused to stay the high court orders. In the absence of any such stay from the higher court, the high court orders remain in force. Non compliance of these orders tantamount to contempt of court on the part of the state government as per article 215 of the Constitution.

As per the Supreme court order in Narmada Bacaho Andolan vs Union of India,1999, any misrepresentation or incomplete interpretation of court orders also amount to contempt of court. Non compliance of its orders weaken the authority of court, which will also be construed as contempt of court as per apex court judgment in EMS Namboodiripad vs TN Nambiar, 1970.

Mahesh Acting Like Satyanarayana

Share

‘Parannageeji” is the new film that is being made against Ram Gopal Varma as an answer to “Power Star”.

Mahesh Kathi has announced that he is acting in both “Power Star” ad “Parannageevi”.

No one knows how Nutan Naidu, a hardcore fan of Pawan Kalyan could rope in Mahesh Kathi to play a role in his film.

On the other hand the same Mahesh Kathi has appeared in the trailer of Power Star ridiculing him in a scene.

Keeping that aside, Mahesh Kathi has posted an image saying, “inni nagalu vesukunte gaanee nirmaata anarata”, showing off his jewelry clad get up.

Anyone who knows the people around RGV will understand that he is none other Tummlapalli Rama Satayanarayana who wears the jewelry like this. He made cheape films like Ice Cream with RGV and thus he became notable in film industry.

So, many are concluding that Mahesh Kathi is playing the role of Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana in Parannageevi.

PMO Inquires About AP Capital Row ?

Share

In what could be a huge debatable row, the Prime Minister’s Office reportedly inquired about the AP capital row from AP Governor’s office aka Raj Bhavan. Principal Secretary of Hindu Maha Sabha, GVR Sastry has reportedly written to PMO about the AP capital row.

In his letter Sastry mentioned the CRDA Cancellation proposal and ‘Three Capitals’ bills that were sent by the YSRCP government to the AP Governor for approval. Reacting on this letter, the PMO dialled AP Raj Bhavan and learned a few details.

This is interesting as ever since the AP government initiated ‘Three Capitals’ not even once the PMO intervened in it and many thought the capital change is completely state’s internal affairs. But finally a thing has happened and we have to see how PMO will react to the whole issue.

Meanwhile we hear that AP Governor’s office received the bills on Wednesday and all eyes are on the Governor’s decision. The opposition is hopeful that the Governor would turn down the bills like he has done for the Election Commissioner row.

Is the center involved in the Andhra Pradesh Capital issue?

Share

The Andhra Pradesh Capital issue has been going on for the longest time, with the government of the state hell bent on assigning 3 Capitals to the state. The TDP and other party members have also expressed their opposition to this idea, and have been constantly striving for a single capital for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The 3 Capital Bill and the CRDA Repeal bill have been sent to the governor of Andhra Pradesh, Biswabhushan Harichandan, recently, so that he can take the final call on what’s to be done with regards to them. According to the latest reports, the governor has sought legal advice, and is on his way to sending these bills to the Central Government, with his final decision.

At the same time, rumor mills are rife with many sources saying that the Central Government is about to get involved in the 3 Capital issue, and that it is about to make some major changes to the bill proposed by the state government, keeping the current situation in mind.

On the other hand, back in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP seems to be divided on its opinion internally. While some members are supporting the AP government’s decision of 3 Capitals, some others are opposing it. Few BJP leaders also took part in the many protests organised by the farmers of Amaravati, in an attempt to reinstate Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh.

It is still unclear whether the Central Government will be meddling in this issue, since a senior member like B.V.L. Narasimha Rao has said that the state government has the sole right to make a decision when it comes to the state, and that the Center does not have much power. It is now to be seen what will happen in the days to come.
