Schools In AP To Reopen From July 13th

Share

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools all over the state from July 13th. This is a surprising move by the YCP government as earlier the Union Human Resource ministry has said that all the schools would reopen after August 15th.

Initially the YCP government fixed August 3rd as the date for reopening of schools and CM Jagan wanted to launch his YSR Vidhya Kanuka scheme too on the same date. But the government changed its mind and brought the date much closer. It is just a week away from now and it is yet to be known whether YSR Vidhya Kanuka would be launched from July 13th.

As per the government sources, the primary schools will conduct classes once in a week while upper primary and higher school classes will hold twice in a week in the state with restrictions and Covid-19 protocols in place.

Also the YCP government would be introducing bridge courses for students while all the Headmasters and Teachers of all the schools all over the state were asked to update all the registration of students on or before July 10th.

We have to see if the Union HRD intervenes in AP government’s decision as the Covid-19 situation is getting worrisome in the state.

Encouraging operators not to use Huawei for 5G, France cybersecurity head says

Share

Paris: China’s Huawei is not totally banned from France’s next-generation 5G wireless market, but French operators using them will only get limited licences, the head of the national cybersecurity agency told Les Echos newspaper Sunday.

The comments were the latest development in the controversy over Huawei’s involvement, after several Western nations barred the company from participation in their 5G networks over security fears.

“The operators who don’t use Huawei, we encourage them not to go that way because it’s kind of the natural way of things,” said Guillaume Poupard, the head of France’s national cybersecurity agency ANSSI.

“For those who are already using it, we issue permits that last between three and eight years,” he told Les Echos.

Those restrictions will likely limit Huawei’s access to France’s 5G network.

Huawei has invested billions of dollars in the technology, competing mainly against Sweden’s Ericsson and Finland’s Nokia.

But the United States, Britain and other countries have said Huawei represents a security risk, not least since its founder Ren Zhengfei is a former People’s Liberation Army engineer.

Huawei has said it will pull out of partnerships with any hostile countries and focus on working with countries where they are welcome.

High Power Committee on LG Polymers submits its reports

After the tragic gas leak incident took place at LG Polymers in Visakhapatnam, the government of Andhra Pradesh appointed a High Power Committee to investigate the incident and provide them with a report so that future accidents as such could be avoided.

The committee is headed by Forest Department Special Secretary Neerab Kumar, and Special Secretary to the Industry Department Karikala Valavan, Visakhapatnam City Police Commissioner RK Meena and the Collector worked as its members. This committee has now submitted a 350 page report to Chief Minister Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy about the fateful gas leak.

The 350 page report was prepared from nearly 4,000 pages of annexures. It is also a thorough examination of what had happened, and information that was gathered from the LG Polymers factory; from 1,250 questions, 250 emails that were dropped by those concerned, 180 calls that were received, and by interacting with those who suffered because of the gas leak.

Talking about the gas leak itself, Neerab Kumar has said that it is an uncontrolled styrene vapors release from the M6 tank at LG Polymers. He also said that this leak is considered as a major accident under the MSHIC rules, 1989. The gas leak resulted in the death of 12 people, and in the hospitalization of 585 people.

The reason for the leakage of the gas was because of the substantial rise in the temperature of the M6 tank. This high temperature caused the vaporization of styrene liquid in the tank. As a result, high pressure developed in the tank which had very small vents. When the pressure was beyond the limit, it caused the vaporized styrene gas to leak from the tank.

The main reasons for the polymerization of styrene liquid, and the leakage of the gas thereby have been state as: poor design of tank, inadequate refrigeration and cooling system, absence of circulation and mixing systems, inadequate measurement parameters, poor safety protocols, poor safety awareness, inadequate risk assessment response, poor safety management systems, slackness of management, insufficient knowledge among staff, insufficient knowledge of the chemical properties of styrene,

Neerab Kumar also said that the company failed to activate any siren to alert people around the area, despite having 36 sirens. He also said that the accident could have been prevented if proper precautions were taken, or if at least one siren was sounded at the right time.

Where Is KCR?: Trending Online

Of late, the people of Telangana have been missing CM KCR’s press meets. CM KCR, who had been boosting the moral strength of people in the Corona crisis, has gone silent with the rapid increase in the Covid-19 cases. Amidst an all-round attack from the Centre and Opposition parties due to low Covid tests in the country and highest percentage of Covid-cases against the tests, and none other than Home Minister of the state tested positive and recovered, there is a lot of panic among the people and huge pressure on the health and medical department of the state.

In this backdrop, social media is abuzz over Telangana CM KCR’s silence. Interestingly, two hashtags are being trend online. While on one hand, #1MillionCovidTestsinAP is trending, #WhereIsKCR is also trending on the other hand. While AP state government is racing ahead with 1 million tests, Telangana is lagging behind with 1 lakh tests.

Of 1 million tests, 18,697 were tested positive in Andhra Pradesh and 232 were dead. While 8654 were recovered, the total active cases in AP stood at 10,043.The positivity rate of AP is 1.84 percent. On the flip side, Telangana tested 1,15,835 samples till the evening of July 5th. Of which, 23,902 were tested positive and 295 deaths were reported so far. The total active cases are 10,904 whereas 12,703 were discharged. These official figures of Telangana are causing great worry to its people. So far, three teams from the Government of India have visited Hyderabad to gauge the situation.

Amidst this, Telangana’s TIMS has been readied to serve the Covid patients. The TIMS has 1224 bed capacity of which 1000 beds with Oxygen facility and 100 beds with ventilators. In the coming days, more effective measures are expected from KCR’s administration.

New budget cap for Balayya-Boyapati film

Share

Boyapati Sreenu, who previously churned out a dud, Vinaya Vidheya Rama, is confident that his next film with Nandamuri Balakrishna will get his career back on track. He proposed to do the film on a budget of around Rs 70 crores prior to its commitment. The producer, Miryala Ravinder Reddy was sceptical about the budget at first but gave the green signal eventually and the shoot kick-started.

However, pause in shoot due to the lockdown and the subsequent financial crunch has led to a new budget cap for Boyapati Sreenu.

The mass director will now have to wrap up the film in under Rs 40-42 crores as per the producer’s latest demands. He will have to plan the schedules and the scale of action sequences and sets accordingly.

With uncertainty looming over the film industry, producers are not willing to spend crores on costly sets and massive action sequences. Boyapati will have to act according to the budget cap and scale down the project to the best of his capabilities.

We had previously reported that Amala Paul is in consideration for female lead role in the film. The shoot is likely to commence from September but only if the situation at the point in time permits. The teaser of this as-yet-untitled film got a great reception from Nandamuri fans.

‘Jagan Unaware Of Vijayasai Reddy’s Corruption’

Share

TDP leader Varla Ramaiah came down heavily on YSRCP’s mouth-piece Vijayasai Reddy. Taking on the ruling party leader, Varla said, “Vijayasai is a synonym for ‘A2’ for being named in 11 CBI cases and indulging in corruption of Rs 43,000 crore. The whole country knows who are A1 and A2. This is a shame.”

And here Varla brought an interesting thing of Vijayasai that he feared AP CM YS Jagan and went into hiding. “Without the knowledge of Jagan, Vijayasai is amassing huge wealth in Madras, Karnataka. Advisor to the AP CM, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has all the details of Vijayasai’s illegal activities and properties that he has gained. After Jagan learning about, Vijayasai disappeared for about 25 days out of fear. Does Vijayasai has the guts to acknowledge this or reveal the actual reasons behind his absence?,” questioned Varla.

On the banners that were placed in Vizag on the occasion of Vijaysai’s birthday, the TDP leader said, there were so many flexis wishing him birthday greetings. The amount of money spent on this can be used to pay pension for all the eligible in Vizag district. Like so Vijayasai is involved in a big list of misdoings. Even in the emergency ambulance services, a sum of Rs 300 crore was looted.

“It is TDP’s misfortune and YSRCP’s luck that they have come to power. If not, the state would have been cruising in development and the capital would have remained the same,” summed up Varla.

Probably no TDP leader in recent times made such a massive attack and allegations on Vijayasai. The YCP MP has good reasons to counter the TDP leader but wait.

Scribe Booked For Writing False News On KCR!

Share

A senior journalist who has been running a small-time Telugu daily was booked for writing an alleged false report that CM KCR had gone into hiding as he was suffering from Coronavirus.

The Jubilee Hills police in Hyderabad registered a case against Anam Chinni Venkateshwara Rao, who is editor and publisher of Aadab Hyderabad Telugu daily, under Indian Penal Code sections 505 (2) and 505 (b) read with section 34, based on a complaint by a private person.

Venkateshwar Rao published a story in his daily on Sunday stating that KCR had left for his farmhouse a week ago after it was revealed that nearly 30 of the employees at Pragati Bhavan, his camp office in Hyderabad, tested positive for Covid-19.

The report said whether KCR also had contracted Coronavirus and whether it was the reason for which he had moved to the camp office.

Interestingly, Venkateshwara Rao was said to be in Khammam when the case was filed.

He went missing after going in for a morning walk in the town on Monday morning. When he did not return from the walking, his family members got worried and contacted other scribes stating that he might have been kidnapped.

However, Venkateshwar Rao later informed the friends that he had been picked up by the Hyderabad police who were questioning him about his background. Later, the police booked a case against him.

It is not immediately known whether he was arrested or would be arrested.

Recently, when Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the 104 and 108 ambulances, Pawan Kalyan openly expressed his appreciation towards the Chief Minister, for launching these ambulances during their utmost requirement.

Now, Pawan Kalyan has once again spoken in support of the people of Andhra Pradesh, especially supporting the farmers of Amaravati, who have been staging protests3 for over 200 days, against the government’s decision of 3 Capitals for the state of Andhra Pradesh. He released a public statement, condemning the government for going against the wishes of lakhs of people, in not reinstating Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh.

During the term of TDP, more than 2400 farmers gave away more than 34,000 acres of lands to the government, for the development of Amaravati into the Capital for Andhra Pradesh, and into a smart city capable of self-financing itself.

Pawan Kalyan has spoke against the YSRCP government, saying that it’s not democratic to go against what had been established during the tenure of the previous government, which was done for the betterment of the state.

Pawan Kalyan also pointed out that the government hasn’t yet given wages to all the farmers who were working on leased farm lands. He said that this was nothing short of robbing these farmers of their livelihood. Pawan said that it would be best if the government made sure that these farmers got their wages as soon as possible.

Once again Pawan Kalyan has proven that he is here to support the people of Andhra Pradesh at any cost, and to not get into dirty politics. Pawan Kalyan is indeed a people’s leader!
