Rashmika’s Bollywood Slump: A Comeback on the Horizon

Rashmika Mandanna continues to reign as one of the leading actresses in Indian cinema, effortlessly balancing projects across Bollywood and South Indian industries. However, her recent run in Hindi films seems to have slowed down her otherwise unstoppable momentum, with a few back-to-back setbacks denting her winning streak.
After a lukewarm start in Bollywood with Goodbye and Mission Majnu, both of which failed to make an impact, Rashmika bounced back strong with blockbusters like Animal and Chhavaa. Alongside, she delivered a massive pan-India hit with Pushpa 2, solidifying her status as one of the most bankable stars.
However, her streak took a hit with Sikandar, which bombed at the summer box office. She briefly regained form with Kuberaa in June, but her recent film Thamma, part of the Maddock Horror Cinematic Universe, failed to live up to expectations. Despite a strong premise, the film couldn’t connect with audiences, marking another setback for the actress.
Now, all eyes are on Rashmika’s upcoming projects as she aims for a strong comeback. She will next be seen in the Telugu romantic drama The Girlfriend, releasing on November 7. Following that, she has the Hindi film Cocktail 2 and the Telugu project Mysaa in her pipeline. With her versatility and pan-India appeal, fans are hoping Rashmika will soon reclaim her winning form on the big screen.
Rajamouli Sets New Trend with Baahubali: The Epic Re-Release

Baahubali: The Epic has opened to a massive response at the box office, and trade analysts predict it will continue its strong run through the weekend — with every possibility of becoming the highest-grossing re-release ever in Indian cinema.
Beyond its commercial success, the film’s re-release has also sparked a new wave of interest in the industry. Director SS Rajamouli has once again set a trend by re-releasing the two-part Baahubali saga as a single, unified film experience — an idea that’s now inspiring other filmmakers to follow suit.
Following this success, blockbuster franchises like Pushpa and KGF are reportedly exploring similar re-release plans, combining both parts into one seamless cinematic experience.
Rajamouli’s decision proved to be a masterstroke. Had Baahubali been re-released in two parts separately, audiences — who have already watched them multiple times on television and OTT platforms — might not have shown the same enthusiasm. But the idea of watching the entire epic journey on a single ticket turned out to be a crowd-puller.
Initially, there was skepticism about the long runtime. However, massive promotions and the inclusion of unseen footage attracted audiences in large numbers, turning the experiment into a roaring success.
Interestingly, the impact has reached Bollywood too. Major film franchises like Hera Pheri, Dhoom, Don, Housefull, Stree, Ek Tha Tiger, Jolly LLB, Singham, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa are now considering similar re-release strategies.
With this move, Rajamouli — who previously revolutionized Indian cinema with the concept of pan-India releases — has now created a new trend in film re-releases. Truly, a trendsetter for a reason!
Nani’s The Paradise Targets Global Stage with Ryan Reynolds Connection

Natural Star Nani’s much-anticipated period action drama The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, is turning into one of the biggest pan-Indian spectacles yet. Every new update surrounding the film is raising expectations to another level.
Bollywood actor Raghav Juyal is making his Telugu debut with this grand project, while veteran star Mohan Babu will be seen in yet another powerful and pivotal role.
In an exciting new development, sources reveal that the makers have been in communication with Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds’s team for nearly three months — and have now successfully initiated formal talks. The discussions reportedly revolve around having Ryan Reynolds present the international version of the film. If finalized, this move could give The Paradise a significant global boost, amplifying its reach across continents.
Described as Nani’s most ambitious project yet, The Paradise is being mounted on a massive scale by producer Sudhakar Cherukuri, with the team determined to deliver a film that resonates worldwide. Beyond just releasing it internationally, they are focused on crafting a cinematic experience that appeals to a universal audience.
The film will be released in six Indian languages, along with English and Spanish versions, on March 27th next year — marking a bold step toward global storytelling from Telugu cinema.
Five Sentenced to Death in Katari Anuradha Murder Case

In a major verdict, a court in Andhra Pradesh on Friday awarded the death penalty to five men convicted in the 2015 double murder of former Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Katari Mohan.
The gruesome incident took place on November 17, 2015, inside the Chittoor Municipal Corporation office, shocking the entire state.
The prime accused, Sriram Chandrasekhar, who is Mohan’s nephew, was found guilty along with four others — Govinda Swami Srinivasaiah Venkatachalapathy (alias Venkatesh), Jayaprakash Reddy (alias Jayareddy), Manjunath (alias Manju), and Muniratnam Venkatesh.
According to the investigation, the accused entered the office disguised in burqas and brutally attacked the couple with knives and daggers, later shooting Katari Anuradha. Police confirmed that the attack stemmed from a long-standing family dispute.
Ahead of the verdict, authorities implemented tight security measures, allowing only court staff inside the premises and prohibiting public gatherings, rallies, or celebrations to maintain law and order.
This verdict brings closure to a case that had remained one of the most shocking political murders in recent Andhra Pradesh history.
