Ace producer Dil Raju got married yesterday in a rather simple event due to covid restrictions. The producer made it official before getting married, and his team revealed the details of his would-be wife.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced a Rs 20 lakh crore economic package for what he called “Mission Self-Reliant India” to tide over the coronavirus crisis.
“This package is for migrants and farmers who work for the nation day and night, no matter the circumstances,” the Prime Minister said, addressing the nation.
The special economic package would be the main component of “Atma-Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India)”, he said.
“The package will focus on land, labour, liquidity and law; it will help small business, labourers, farmers,” the PM said.
Speaking about the coronavirus pandemic, PM Modi said: “A virus has ravaged the world, we have never seen or heard a crisis like this.”
The only way for India to triumph over the crisis was to “strengthen our resolve so that our resolve is even greater than this crisis.”
He said India must realize its potential as the lead player in the 21st century by focusing on its self-reliance.
He listed what he called five pillars for self-reliance: “Economy with potential for quantum jump, infrastructure, technology-driven system, demography and an intelligence-driven supply system.”

Pawan Kalyan’s Idea:
Gabbar Singh would have been a big flop had it was made with some other hero other than Pawan Kalyan. I realized that after seeing the performance of him. Initially I kept Ravi Teja as second option. But luckily Pawan Kalyan didn’t deny to do. The antyakshari idea in Gabbar Singh was given by Pawan Kalyan. Adding to that he suggested Shruthi Hasan as female lead. When I hesitatingly said that she has flop track record, he enlightened me in a single line, “You and I also gave flops”. Thus Pawan himself is instrumental in bringing Shruthi Hasan to the project.
About Harish Shankar:
I introduced Harish Shankar to Pawan Kalyan when I thought of doing Mirapakay with him. Somehow that didn’t materialize. Later Harish Shankar did that film with some other producer casting Ravi Teja in lead. Pawan Kalyan remembered Harish. So, when I opened up about Gabbar Singh, he asked me to call him again. It’s me who made Harish Shankar direct a film for Pawan Kalyan. He was in worries at that time with no films in hand. Even Nallamalapu Bujji who promised him with NTR’s film was silent that time. When Harish was in depression I brought him out by offering the biggest project. But he didn’t mention any ‘thanks’ to me in the recent note he kept on twitter on the occasion of 8 years of GabbarSingh. I leave it to his sensibility. He can do only remake films. But cannot make a hit with a straight film. If he does, I will leave the industry.
Cinema love is temporary:
Here everything is temporary. As long as we work for a film, we all live with a bond. Once the film finishes and the new project begins, the new relations will come into being. I believe my God Pawan Kalyan will call me again for a project. I have also worked with many heroes. I wish any one among them may call me again.
It appears PM Narendra Modi was all praise for YSRCP president and Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for presenting the Covid-19 situation in his state in right perspective and making meaningful demands during the Monday’s video conference.
Union health minister Harshavardhan had a telephonic talk with Jagan on Tuesday and conveyed Modi’s appreciation for the stand taken by AP on various Corona-related issues, including the stigma surrounding Covid-19.
The Chief Minister once again stressed on removing the stigma over coronavirus from the public and instil confidence among them to fight over the virus. He instructed the officials to bring awareness among the public over Covid-19 in order to control the further spread.
The Union minister said Jagan’s progressive and pragmatic outlook towards the future of the state and the country at large was laudable. He said the chief minister touched upon pertinent aspects that need to be addressed, like the Stigma surrounding Covid-19.
Rather than calling for a blanket extension of the lockdown, Jagan pitched for a rather different approach. He suggested that creating self-awareness among people should be the priority above imposition of restrictions and clamping down, which is adding to the stigma surrounding Covid-19.
The PM also reportedly appreciated Jagan’s call for restoration of public transport to enable the working class move around freely as it is mandatory for the economy to get back to where it was.

The period film is said to be set in 1870. Pawan Kalyan plays the role on the lines of a Robin Hood. The main heroine has not yet been decided but Jacqueline will play the second female lead.

The gigantic Khairatabad Ganesh idol is very popular across the Telugu states. Every year nearly 60 foot idol will be set up at Khairatabad and for this arrangements begin at least two or three months before. But this year it is going to be different as the idol length would be just around just one feet and all thanks to the Corona virus pandemic.
The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee which met today, called off the Karra Puja ceremony which was scheduled on May 18th. The committee had held discussions with the police department and government and has decided to reduce the idol size to just one feet. The committee will once again meet to discuss about the probabilities of setting up one foot idol.
It was started with a small Ganesh idol of just 1 foot in 1954, by S Shankaraiya a freedom fighter and since then the size of the idol is being raised by one foot every year. Lakhs of people from the Telugu states visit Khairatabad Ganesh for nearly 11 days.
This year the Ganesh festival falls on August 22nd.
VIJAYAWADA: The number of COVID-19 cases linked to the Koyembedu Market in Chennai continues to be on a rise in the state. Out of 33 new cases reported in the last 24 hours by Tuesday morning, 20 of them were of those who visited the Koyembedu market.
According to the media bulletin issued by the State Command Control Room (Health) on Tuesday morning, with 33 new cases, the total number of positive cases in the state increased to 2051, while one more person succumbing to the virus in Krishna district, the number of casualties increased to 46.
On the brighter side, the number of discharged in the state continues to be more than the new cases reported and crossed the 1000 mark. It now stands at 1056. Till Tuesday morning in the last 24 hours, 58 people were discharged after their recovery. A record of 10,730 samples were tested between 9 a.m. on Monday and 9 a.m on Tuesday.
Among the 33 new cases, 10 cases were from Chittoor district and all of them were reported to have visited the Koyembedu market. Now the total number of cases in the district increased to 131. Similarly, 9 new cases reported in Nellore and one case reported in East Godavari were linked to Koyembedu Market in Chennai. The tally of those districts increased to 111 and 47 respectively.
Nine new cases in Kurnool took the count of positive cases in the district to 584 and 4 new cases in Krishna district took the total number of cases in the district to 346.
Out of 58 people discharged, 35 are from Krishna district, Kurnool -17, Anantapur – 3, Kadapa – 1, Srikakulam – 1, and West Godavari – 1.

HYDERABAD: Opposition leaders on Monday criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for saying Rythu Bandhu amounts should not be given to those who do not follow the Telangana government’s instructions on sowing seeds.
At an all-party meeting, CPI State secretary Chada Venkatreddy, TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar, AICC secretary SA Sampath Kumar, TJS president Prof M Kodandaram, Telangana Inti Party president Cheruku Sudhakar and senior TDP leader P Saibaba, asked the government to file a review petition in the Supreme Court on GO 3.
The apex court had abolished GO 3, which preserves the rights of tribals allowing only locals to work as government teachers. The leaders also condemned the attitude of the State government for not opposing the AP government’s decision to enhance the capacity of the Pothireddypadu project. Meanwhile, BJP State general secretary G Premender Reddy alleged that the government failed to resolve farmers’ issues.
