Rashmika Chooses Quality Over Quantity in New Films

Has the National Crush decided to slow down on her film commitments? It certainly looks that way. After the release of Pushpa 2 last year, Rashmika Mandanna was seen in back-to-back projects. While she scored a blockbuster in Bollywood with Chhava, the failure of Sikandar balanced out that success. However, her recent release Kubera turned out to be another grand victory, further strengthening her graph over the last two years.
These consistent hits have placed Rashmika at the top tier in the industry. Currently, she is working on a Telugu female-oriented film titled The Girlfriend. The promotional content has already generated strong buzz, making it one of the most talked-about women-centric films in recent times. Alongside this, she is also playing a powerful role in the Bollywood project Thama. Interestingly, both these films were signed almost two years ago.
But when it comes to fresh signings, Rashmika hasn’t taken up any new projects. It’s not due to a lack of offers—directors and producers are eager to work with her. Instead, the actress seems to be following the principle that “speed can be dangerous,” carefully filtering her scripts. Rather than rushing into back-to-back roles that might not suit her, she is reportedly waiting for the right story with strong substance.
Sources suggest that she has already turned down a few recent offers in both Telugu and Hindi, preferring quality over quantity. At this stage in her career peak, Rashmika appears determined to choose only roles that add value to her pan-India image. New signings are expected only next year, as part of a clear, long-term plan.
Overall, Rashmika’s strategy indicates a conscious effort to sustain her stardom without losing focus, proving that sometimes slowing down is the best way to move forward.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s Multiple Endings Confuse Fans

Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM), the much-hyped historical epic directed by Krish and Jyothi Krishna and starring Pawan Kalyan, has once again become the talk of the town—but not for the right reasons. Released in theatres on July 24, the film struggled at the box office, with audiences criticizing its weak VFX and flat screenplay. Just when the dust seemed to settle, its OTT debut on Prime Video on August 20 sparked fresh controversy over the multiple versions of its climax.
The theatrical cut, running 2 hours 43 minutes, ended with a bizarre tornado fight between Veera Mallu (Pawan Kalyan) and Aurangzeb (Bobby Deol). After poor response, the makers rushed out a second cut, dropping the tornado and instead ending with Aurangzeb’s warning, “Aandhi vastundi” (“A storm is coming”), as Veera galloped toward him. Now, the OTT cut, trimmed to 2 hours 33 minutes, has surprised viewers once more by removing both the tornado and the “storm” teaser, finishing abruptly after a fight sequence.
Fans are baffled, with many joking on social media that every version brings a brand-new climax. One user quipped, “First day RRR-type ending, third day another one, and OTT brings a third! Who certified you as a director?” Others sarcastically asked if another new cut was on the way. At the same time, a section of viewers felt the OTT version worked better, calling it a tighter, more effective high note. Still, many lamented that the film missed a golden opportunity to stand out as a true epic.
With Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal in key roles, HHVM was envisioned as a grand saga about a rebel on a mission to steal the Koh-i-Noor from Aurangzeb. But instead of being remembered for its scale or storytelling, it has become a hot topic for its confusing cuts and clashing climaxes.

Samantha Prioritizes Health Over Films

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was once among the top actresses in South Indian cinema. Even after marrying into the prestigious Akkineni family, she didn’t step away from films and continued to sign notable projects. In fact, her popularity only grew after her marriage. However, she couldn’t hold on to that image for long, and within four years, she parted ways with Naga Chaitanya.
Leaving her personal life aside, Samantha’s professional graph has also seen a shift. The actress, who once did three to four films a year, has now slowed down drastically, sometimes not taking up even a single project in a year. This has disappointed her fans, but Samantha recently clarified the reason behind her reduced film choices.
In an interview, Samantha revealed that her health condition was the main reason. Having battled myositis, she faced severe physical challenges and her appearance even sparked concern among fans. Now, as she recovers, Samantha says she is prioritizing her health and well-being above everything else.
“Only when you are strong physically and mentally can you give your best to films,” she explained. Samantha added that she no longer wants to overload herself with five or six films at once and instead chooses projects based on her comfort and her body’s response. While she may be signing fewer films, she promised that the quality of her work will remain high and her future projects will continue to entertain audiences.
Currently, Samantha is working on the film Maa Inti Bangaram and is rumored to feature in a special song in Ram Charan’s upcoming film. Her last appearance was a guest role in the self-produced film Shubham.
For Samantha, health comes first, even before money and work. She made it clear that this balanced approach is the reason behind her careful film selection now.
Priyanka Chopra Joins Mahesh Babu–Rajamouli’s SSMB 29 in Africa

On Wednesday, Priyanka shared glimpses of her journey, including pictures from her flight to Kenya and moments from a wildlife safari, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the African savannah.
Last month, reports confirmed that the production had shifted to Africa to film some of the movie’s high-octane action and chase sequences. The buzz around SSMB 29 further intensified after Rajamouli’s heartfelt birthday note to Mahesh Babu, where he acknowledged fans’ growing curiosity. In his earlier message, Rajamouli wrote:
“Dear film enthusiasts in India and across the globe, as well as Mahesh’s fans, it has been some time since we commenced filming, and we appreciate your enthusiasm to learn more about the movie. We are currently developing something to present the essence, richness, and immersive universe we are crafting. This will be revealed in November 2025, and we aim to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN presentation.”
The African schedule comes after months of rigorous filming in Hyderabad, as Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu continue shaping the film’s grand vision. Pooja Hegde’s Tollywood Comeback Update

It has been quite some time since Pooja Hegde appeared in a Telugu film. Her last outing in Tollywood was Acharya (2022). During the promotions of her recent film Retro, Pooja revealed that she had signed a romantic drama, which will officially mark her comeback to Telugu cinema.

However, in a surprising twist, Shruti Haasan confirmed in a recent interview that she is indeed playing the lead role in that film.
This revelation left fans curious about Pooja’s actual comeback project. While some believe that both actresses might feature in the film, others speculate that Shruti could have replaced Pooja. For clarity, fans will have to wait for an official statement from either Pooja or the makers.
The untitled film, directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Dasara fame, was officially launched earlier this month. Until further confirmation, the mystery around Pooja Hegde’s Tollywood return continues to keep fans guessing.
