Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has beaten its Sankrati competition Sarileru Neekevvaru with its audio.
It is near impossible for Mahesh Babu starrer to deliver songs that are as successful as Samajavaragamana and Ramulo Ramula. However, Sarileru Neekevvaru teaser has set the benchmark for AVPL.
The teaser of SLNE has clocked over 26 Million views on YouTube and still counting. Ala Vaikunthapurramulo teaser will be launched on the 11th of this month.

Jabardasth Retains its Position, Nagababu Gets Trolled
Has the Jabardasth program been affected by Naga Babu’s exit? This has been the pertinent question on the minds of media observers.
It is too early to give a final judgment but early trends show that the program’s brand name and ratings are intact.
The latest ratings prove that the comedy program is continuing the same popularity. Ratings didn’t go down. The comedy show is highly popular and has loyal fans. They are least bothered about the judges.
Each week they look forward to watching comedy skits. Naga Babu is not the creative force behind this program, he is just a judge on the show.
However, he split the team and took away key talented persons involved in the show along with him to the rival channel. So far, producer Shyam Prasad Reddy has nothing to worry about Naga Babu’s exit from the show.
On the other hand, trolls are having a field day. They are trolling Naga Babu for not affecting a single point of TRP with his exit.
YSRCP Nails TDP On Women Safety
The ruling YSR Congress had conveniently grabbed the opportunity on the floor of the Assembly to nail the TDP on women safety in the state.
The Andhra Pradesh Assembly debates on the measures to be taken by the government for the safety of women.
The women MLAs of the ruling party expressed concern over the increasing threat to the women, particularly in the light of the Disha case reported in Hyderabad recently.
Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha, MLAs Vidudala Rajani, R K Roja and others spoke at length where they listed several incidents of crime reported during the TDP government.
Roja was at her best to nail TDP and it’s chief Chandrababu Naidu as she was suspended from the Assembly for one year during TDP regime.
Roja recalled how Thahsildar Vanajakshi was insulted by TDP MLA Chinthamaneni Prabhakar and how several women were sexually exploited by the TDP leaders in the name of call money.
Roja recalled that she was suspended for questioning the government which protected the TDP leaders from the sex racket.
The other women MLAs of the ruling party also grabbed the opportunity to expose TDP and Chandrababu Naidu on women issues and how Naidu protected his party leaders than the women.
Though Chandrababu Naidu tried to highlight some incidents of crime reported during the YSR Congress government, there appeared no takers to buy his argument.
With the ruling party members making fun and running commentary on TDP’s failure to protect women, Chandrababu Naidu was forced to extend his party’s support to the government in making new laws to protect women.
Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy expressed sympathies with the family of Hyderabad girls, Disha and congratulated the KCR government and Telangana police for killing the accused in encounter.
Jaganmohan Reddy said he looked at the Disha case as a father of two daughters and justified the encounter killing.
“I have a mother, sister, wife and two daughters. I was terrified to imagine if something happened to anyone of them in my family,” Jaganmohan Reddy said.
The chief minister favoured the law to investigate the crime, prosecute the case and award punishment in just 21 working days.
“Justice should not be delayed in cases where women are victims,” Jaganmohan Reddy said indicating a new law to come up in the state.
Jagan Law, A Terror For Rapists!
For the last few days, the rape and murder of a veterinary doctor Disha at Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad and the subsequent killing of the four accused in an alleged encounter with the police have been making headlines in the media across the country.
But on Tuesday, YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy got the headlines changed and attracted the attention of the nation.
He mooted a stringent legislation to be introduced in the assembly in a day or two, seeking to award death sentence to rape-and-murder accused within 21 days.
“Death penalty within 21 days,” screamed the headline in Sakshi. Stating that his government would bring in a “revolutionary” bill in the assembly on Wednesday, Jagan said it should create a sense of panic among the rapists that they would have to face the death if they indulge in such crimes.
Andhra Jyothy also took Jagan’s statement as second lead with a headline that the rapists would get instant punishment.
Eenadu also carried the same story as a banner, but with a different lead and different headline: “Hats off to KCR.” Obviously, the daily wanted to give an impression that Jagan, too, wants to follow KCR to deliver instant punishment to the rape accused, but through a 21-day legal process.
The unrest among the people on onion crisis in Andhra Pradesh is yet another story that interests the readers.
While Eenadu carried the version of the TDP on the onion crisis and the party MLAs coming to the assembly wearing onion garlands, Andhra Jyothy focused more on the people struggling to get onions and the death of an old man dying in queue for onions.
Sakshi, however, highlighted Jagan’s statement as to how the Andhra Pradesh government is the only state in the country that was making arrangements for supply of onions for Rs 25 a kg at Rythu Bazars.
The passage of the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha is yet another major story that was given considerable space in all the three major Telugu dailies.
Eenadu carried it as a prominent story in the bottom half of the page, Andhra Jyothy and Sakshi took the story as their flyers.
Interestingly, Eenadu highlighted the fact that YSR Congress party supported the bill with a view to maintaining cordial relationship with the Centre, while Telangana Rashtra Samithi strongly opposed the same.
The resounding victory of the BJP in the by-elections to 15 assembly seats in Karnataka was also given significant coverage by the Telugu media.
A stable government of the BJP in Karnataka will definitely have an impact on the neighbouring Telangana and also to some extent in Andhra, say analysts.
As usual, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy carried a couple of stories that would needle the YSRC government. Eenadu carried a report of the Union water resources ministry stating that the Centre would release funds to Polavaram only if the state followed certain conditions.
On the other hand, Andhra Jyothy carried the first lead story on how chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy entered into a confrontation with the Centre by appointing senior IPS officer Manish Kumar Sinha as the state intelligence chief, much against the interests of the Union home ministry.
The report also quoted some other instances of Jagan taking decisions that would irritate the Centre. Needless to say, the objective of the news report is only to widen the gap between YSRC and BJP and create an impression that all is not well between the state and the Centre.
All in all, there is some spicy stuff to enjoy in the day’s major newspapers!
Vallabhaneni Vamsi gives it back to Naidu
The second day of the AP Assembly session had seen TDP expelled MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan giving it back to the party chief Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday.
It happened during the Question Hour on the day, when Naidu raised objection to the speaker giving a chance to Vamsi to speak.
While speaker justified his decision, Vamsi said that as MLA he had the right to speak on the floor. I have every right to represent peoples’ issues in the Assembly, he said.
The MLA, who was suspended by the TDP for meeting chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy, said there was nothing wrong in one MLA meeting chief minister.
He said he met the chief minister on important issues concerning the people of his Gannavaram Assembly constituency and the issues were solved amicably.
As the MLA was suspended by the TDP, the speaker had given him a separate seat behind the TDP MLAs in the Assembly on the request of Vamsi.
It is said that a few more MLAs from the TDP are likely to join Vamsi in the Assembly after duly getting suspended by the leadership.
“The number of unattached MLAs (suspended by the TDP) is likely to go up in the current session and Chandrababu Naidu’s seat would be moved to the extreme corner of the opposition benches in the Assembly” a TDP MLA quipped in the lobbies of the Assembly.
Why is Raghurama Raju getting closer to BJP?
After the recent episode of YSR Congress party MP from Narsapuram K Raghurama Krishnam Raju defying the party line on introduction of Telugu as the medium of instruction, he made it clear that he had never crossed the party line nor would he do it in future.
But those who have been closely watching his moves in New Delhi are suspecting that he is getting closer to the Bharatiya Janata Party once again, as he had been associated with the party in the past.
The way he had independently met BJP national president Amit Shah despite strict instructions from YSRC president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy not to meet the BJP leaders without the knowledge of parliamentary party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy and the manner in which he had shaken hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the central hall has given rise to these speculations.
Against this backdrop, Raghuhrama Raju’s invitation to over 300 party MPs for a dinner at the residence of his relative and Congress MP K V P Ramachandra Rao on December 11 came as a surprise.
It is not exactly known whether Raju has taken the permission from Jagan for hosting this dinner is not exactly known.
But all these developments lend credence to the speculations that Raju is trying to get closer to the BJP. What could be the reason?
Sources said Raju is feeling suffocated as an MP, as there is virtually nothing for him to do. Unlike in the past, the MPs have little chance to make money during the Narendra Modi regime and their word hardly has any value.
Especially if the MPs are from the non-BJP parties, they have little scope to do any lobbying and get central contracts etc.
At least for the BJP leaders, they would be able to get some benefits like contracts and business avenues, if not from the Centre, but at least in other states ruled by the BJP.
Moreover, a CBI case pertaining to alleged loan default is hanging on the head of Raghurama Krishnam Raju.
Soon after the elections, the CBI conducted raids on his houses and business ventures in Hyderabad and Bhmavaram, pertaining to alleged default of loan of about Rs 947 crore taken from various financial institutions.
So, the only way to get out of these cases will be to join the BJP, sources said.
#APAssembly: Roja fires on Pawan, Janasena MLA Silent

YSRCP firebrand MLA Roja roared in the Andhra Pradesh assembly. Speaking on the recent rape incidents, Roja took indirect potshots at Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and also hero and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna.
“In the history, a man who lost elections from two places, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that rapists should not be hanged but two slaps on the face is enough. Can he answer why roamed with revolver in his hand in public? He himself said that he wanted to kill those persons who troubled his sisters. Justice is being differentiated here but justice should be equal for all,” said Roja.
Intervening in Roja’s comments, Speaker Tammineni suggested the YSRCP MLA to talk about people who are in the assembly and not outside.
Raking up Nandamuri Balakrishna’s past comments, the opposition has an MLA who said woman should get married, then immediately be made pregnant. “This is our TDP MLAs culture and how they respect women. It’s only CM Jagan is doing everything in his hands for the safety of the women in the state,” added Roja.
Surprising when Roja took out Pawan Kalyan’s name, the only Jana Sena MLA stayed silent and did not request the speaker to give him mic. Strange isn’t it!
Keerthy Suresh Turns Rajnikanth’s Heroine

Ever since her films with Danush, Surya and Vijay didn’t do as expected, Malayalam beauty Keerthy Suresh has slowed down in Tamil industry. At the same time, though Mahanati is such a stupendous hit, she is making her moves quite choosily in Tollywood. But here’s the shocker.
Joining the likes of an Aishwarya Rai and Nayantara, now Keerthy Suresh has accepted a Superstar Rajnikanth film. She is not playing any side character here, but she will be seen as the leading lady of the movie. Though the ‘Nenu Sailaja’ actress has earlier rejected some Telugu senior heroes, it looks like the 27-year-old actress has no qualms doing a heroine to 68-year-old superstar.
“Extremely happy to announce this magical milestone in my journey From being awestruck of Rajnikanth sir to sharing screen space with him will be my most cherished memory in my life,” she said, thanking director Siva who is going to handle the mass project #Thalaivar168.
On the other hand, Keerthy Suresh will be seen in low-budgeted Telugu film “Miss India” and also she has Nagesh Kukunoor’s “Good Luck Sakhi” in hand.
Heritage Selling Kilo Onions at Rs 200: Jagan Satires On Naidu

The onion prices issue has created a huge storm in Andhra Pradesh assembly. Despite the speaker Tammineni rejecting TDP’s demand for a debate, the opposition insisted to discuss about the soaring prices.
Leader of the house, YS Jagan took the mic on this occasion and lashed out at TDP. “If there is any state in the country, that is supplying onions to common man at Rs 25, it is Andhra Pradesh. So far the government has bought 36,500 quintals of onions and still we are buying onions from Sholapor and other places to provide for the people,” said Jagan.
Targeting Chandrababu, Jagan said, in the last TDP government, onion farmers burned their farms as they were denied a good market price. Whereas our government is making sure neither the farmers nor the costumers get disappointed.
“Chandrababu’s Heritage super market is selling onions at Rs 200 per kilo today and here at the assembly, there are staging a protest which is completely hypocrisy,” said Jagan. The AP CM asked the TDP leaders to do a reality check before doing any protest.
