Venky Mama, Makes Us Laugh But Not Cry
Releasing in a short notice, Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya’s latest movie “Venky Mama” is trying to grab the attention by holding press meets as both the heroes made their joint appearance. And repeatedly during these events, Thaman other day and Suresh Babu today have told that the climax of Venky Mama brought tears in their eyes.
If we look into the reactions of film lovers over this, they say that “F2” is what on their minds as Venkatesh is coming up with another film. After watching Venky back to doing interesting comedy in F2, audiences are expecting nothing less than that. They want him to entertain them with his timing, punches and antics. Some say, ‘Venky mama should make us laugh not cry’.
But with Suresh saying repeatedly that the film’s climax will make everyone cry, one wonders what is their inside ‘Venky Mama’. Sources close to the team stated that the first half of the film has huge doses of comedy, but the second half goes on an emotional journey where the two protagonists need to repair their crisis.
As the film is turning up in a short time with limited promotions, we have to see how audiences will receive it.
90 ML Not Postponed, Coming on Time
Contrary to some media reports that the film would be postponed, Karthikeya’s 90 ML is not getting postponed. The makers of the film have made an official announcement that the film would come on Dec 6th as announced before.
The Censor hurdle has been cleared. The regional Censor Board has passed the film and has given A certificate for the film. With this, Karthikeya is heaving a huge sigh of relief.
Of late, the Censor is getting delayed for several films. Even Raja Varu Rani Garu’s Censor was not done till the day before its release. While the film’s release was slated for Nov 29, the Censor had cleared the film on Nov 28th.
On the other hand, the regional Censor Board has refused to pass Ram Gopla Varma’s Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu aka Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu.
Why Sarileru Neekevvaru Is Not Emphasising On Date?
Usually, when a film’s release date is locked, the makers make sure that a huge emphasis is laid upon it in almost all the promotional materials. Featuring the release date on the posters to mentioning it in the description of their YouTube videos, they do everything. But we wonder why Sarileru Neekevvaru is not doing it?
Earlier it was confirmed that both the films Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are not hitting on January 12th as planned, but Mahesh Babu’s film will come a day earlier on 11th, while Allu Arjun will stick to 12th. However, there is no confirmation about this new date from the team of Sarileru Neekevvaru we have to say.
Whether it is Jan 12th or 11th, neither the latest posters of Sarileru Neekevvaru nor the description of YouTube video of ‘Mind Block’ song carries any such mentioning of the date. One wonders why the makers are not laying emphasis on the release date, as that also gives clarity to audiences to plan their holidays.
Some say that Mahesh wants to announce the date at the pre-release event, saying, ‘Manaki four days munde pandaga’ and hence they are not mentioning it now.
Red to saffron: Pawan changes colours!
Majority of politicians in the country are known for changing colours quite often. Though some leaders make intellectual statements and speak about values in politics, they, too, do not hesitate to change colours when it matters for them.
Take actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan.
He talks of lofty ideals in politics, describes revolutionary Che Guevara as his inspiration, claims to have read thousands of books and quotes from Japanese philosopher Masanobu Fukuoka’s book “The One Straw Revolution.”
In the recent general elections, Pawan joined hands with the Left parties – CPI and CPI (M), besides BSP, to form an alliance, rejecting the overtures from the Bharatiya Janata Party and even the YSR Congress party.
He gave an impression that he was a Leftist ideologue with love for the poor and the downtrodden.
But, now, all of a sudden, Pawan has changed his colour. Though he has been giving hints to that effect for the past two days by describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, he openly disclosed his “saffron colours” on Wednesday.
He told reporters in Tirupati that he had never been away from BJP but was very much associated with it.
“I differed with the BJP and Narendra Modi in the last elections only for the sake of people on the issue of special category status. Otherwise, I don’t have any differences with the BJP,” he said.
“Political equations keep changing with time in the interests of the people. One should look at the change only in spirit of the Constitution,” Pawan said.
What is more interesting is the way Pawan started taking aggressively in support of Hindutva and Hinduism.
He expressed concern over growing threat to Hinduism during the regime of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“There has been a blatant propagation of Christianity in Hindu temples and religious institutions,” he alleged.
Pointing out to alleged conversion of over 50 Hindus into Christianity at Punnami Ghat at Krishna river in Vijayawada, Pawan wondered why Jagan had remained silent when the conversions were happening closer to his residence.
He also asserted that he was not afraid of losing votes of other religions by taking up the cause of Hindutva.
“I will not tolerate if there is any harm to Hinduism,” the Jana Sena leader said.
