Mamangam Telugu Trailer : Mammootty Shines
Mamangam has been making quite noise for a while. All thanks to its grandeur and its star presence like Mammootty. Apart from Malayalam, the film is also made into Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The film’s Telugu trailer has been unveiled by ace producer Allu Aravind.
Set in medieval period of 17th century, it is the story of historical warrior Chaaverukal who plot to overthrow the Zamorin rulers. The visuals are captivating. The grandeur, the scale and the depth in the story are visible in the trailer.
Mammootty, aged 68 and close to 70, has excelled in scenes involving martial arts and fights. The film showcases the martial art of Kalaripayattu. Actors Mammootty, Unni Mukundan and Manikuttan have undergone training in Kalaripayattu and horse riding and undergone a rigorous physical transformation for their respective roles in the film. Gorgeous Prachi Tehlan will be seen in one of the female leads in the movie. She revved up the glam quotient in the historic period film trailer.
The action stunts are stunning. Background score is pretty impressive and compliments visuals. On the whole, the trailer is quite promising and gives rich experience. One has to wait and see, what is in store for this Mammootty starrer.

Bunny To Cover Both Telangana And Andhra
Taking every step well in advance, actually, the team of Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are impressing cinema lovers as they indulged in some aggressive promotions. With the songs of the film turning out to be chartbusters, all eyes are on the film’s probably pre-release event.

Devi Sri Prasad, who was one of the most sought-after music composers in Tollywood, seems to have lost his sheen. With his recent albums drawing criticism from various corners as he is unable to meet the high expectations on his songs, Devi Sri Prasad is now under immense pressure to deliver.

Manam And Venky Mama Will Be Most Memorable Films
Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer Venky Mama is finally gracing the theaters on December 13th. A press meet has been held today to announce the date officially and also to clear several doubts.
Suresh Babu says Venky Mama is a proper Telugu film laced with entertainment and family emotions. He revealed the hurdles they came across in making the film and how Bobby patiently worked on the script. He lauded Prakash Raj for all the support.
“Thaman was very emotional after watching the film and he couldn’t control his feelings,” said Suresh Babu.
Raashi Khanna proclaimed that she’s a big fan of Venkatesh as an actor and also as a person. “Venky sir is a good human being,” affirmed she.
Bobby who believes in destiny says he’s pleased to work with Venky and Chay in this multi-starrer.
“Suresh Babu garu gave so many inputs and regular amendments were made in script. But, he’s like Ugadi Pachadi and I only realized it later. When I narrated the script to Venky sir, he asked me to work more on Chay’s role. That’s how he treats his nephew, ” said director Bobby.
Naga Chaianya says the team literally experienced lots of tensions over the release date.
“We’re finally very very happy. It’s a best date and solo release. It’s a dream come true to work under Suresh Productions.
I was very excited to share screen space with Venky Mama for a brief period in Premama. There’s lots of excitement working for Venky Mama. Bobby captured army backdrop scenes very likably.”
Chay further said that Manam and Venky Mama will be the most special and memorable films in his career.
Later Venkatesh thanked god for relieving the tension over the release date.
“Doing this film is a dream come true to as I always wanted to work with my nephew. My father would have enjoyed had he watched the film. You’ll see an all rounder performance from Chay.”
IPS officers condemn TDP allegations!
The wild allegations being levelled by the Telugu Desam Party leaders against the police department stating that the police were toeing the line of YSR Congress party government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and foisting false cases against the political rivals evoked strong protests from the IPS officers.
The Andhra Pradesh IPS Officers’ Association on Tuesday issued a statement strongly rebutting the allegations against the police.
Without naming the TDP, the association condemned such mudslinging against the department which would demoralise the police machinery.
The statement reads: “Of late, it has become a practice for certain political parties to level unsubstantiated allegations attributing motives to the police personnel, right from the rank of the constable to the DGP (head of the police force).
The trend is more pronounced in the aftermath of the recent visit of the Leader of the Opposition to the Amaravati capital region where it was specifically alleged that certain protests and overt acts were carried out with the active support of the police.
The Andhra Pradesh IPS Association places on record its anguish and strongly condemns such statements which demoralise the police force and undermine the selfless service, hard work and sacrifices of the entire force that works ceaselessly day and night to ensure public safety, peace and tranquillity.
The Andhra Pradesh IPS Association appeals to all political parties to exercise restraint in their public utterances which needlessly dent the police image and adversely impact the discharge of its duties and responsibilities.”
The statement came hours after the TDP leaders lodged a complaint with the Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan alleging that the police had failed to protect the rights of the opposition leader.

Don’t delay hanging in Nirbhaya case: Only executioner
New Delhi: “You just can’t stop the cases like Nirbhaya and Hyderabad veterinarian gang rape and murder by doing nothing. You have to execute the death penalty in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case as soon as possible to set an example. Convict the accused of Hyderabad case also as soon as possible. Then only such gruesome crimes will stop. Until and unless such people are not hanged till death, they won’t fear the law,” says the country’s only executioner Pawan.
Pawan, who is currently in Meerut, told IANS on Tuesday: “If the government had expedited on executing the hanging of the Nirbhaya case convicts, the Hyderabad case might not have happened. Why are we keeping them at Tihar jail? Such criminals should be convicted as early as possible so as to set an example otherwise you can’t stop such crimes.”
“I am ready to execute the hanging of the convicts. I only need two to three days to hang them. I will give a trial and do the hanging,” said Pawan.
“I come from the family of executioners. I am the fourth generation after my great grandfather (Lakshman Jallad), grandfather (Kalu Ram Jallad) and father Mammu Jallad),” Pawan told IANS.
For the first time, Pawan executed a hanging at Patiala Central Jail with his grandfather, when he hanged two brothers. Pawan, who has executed five hangings with his grandfather till now, said: “When I executed my first hanging with my grandfather, I was 20-22 year old now I am 58.”
Pawan said that the last execution that he did with his grandfather was of a convict in the Bulandshahar gangrape and murder case in 1988 at the Central Jail.
Pawan said that as of now he is living on Rs 5,000 per month, which he gets from the Uttar Pradesh government from the Meerut Jail. He said: “Earlier we didn’t get much money for executing the hanging, but now we get Rs 25,000 per hanging. Though it is difficult to survive at such a meagre amount, but I feel happy that I ended the life of an evil.”
Meanwhile, in a conversation with IANS on Tuesday night, Delhi Jail Director General Sandeep Goyal said: “It is true that there is no authorised trained person (executioner) in the Tihar jail or Mandoli Jail who can perform the duty of hanging. Still there is nothing to worry about. When such a situation will come (Nirbhaya’s criminals will get the death-warrant to hang them), then everything will be managed. We will call one from some other state.”
Sandeep Goyal further told IANS: “It is not as if someone is specially authorised to be hanged. It is up to the jail administration and the state government that, whoever they think is legally better off for this work, can get it done (hanging the convict). Just in this work (at the time of hanging the convict), caution is the most important point.”
IANS also spoke to Sunil Gupta, a former jailer of Tihar Jail, considered to be Asia’s most secure jail . Gupta has recently written a sensational book on the jail life called ‘Black Warrant’. He told IANS: “In my 35-year job, eight people were hanged in front of me in the Tihar Jail.
“These included Ranga Billa, Indira Gandhi’s assassin Satwant-Kehar Singh, Kashmiri terrorist Maqbool Butt, Vidya Jain’s killer brother duo Jagtar-Kartar Singh, Afzal Guru, convict in the Parliament attack. There was no probolem in these executions. Yes, there should be an expert for this work. Any lapse in serving the death order can prove extremely dangerous. However, so far no such mistake has ever been happened at the time of execution. “

‘Big Directors Don’t Take Me In Their Films’
Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has revealed the secret behind why he only works with new directors.”I work with new directors because big directors don’t take me (in their films). That is the truth,a claimed the Bollywood superstar, while interacting with the media at the trailer launch of his upcoming film “Good Newwz”.
Akshay’s comment came in the wake of an observation by Karan Johar, one of the producers of the film, that he was a star who had worked with many debutant directors.
The actor further explained: “When big people don’t take you (in their films), you have to start your own journey. If you don’t get a job in a big publication, you will go through a smaller one. From there you jump. You cannot just sit at home and wonder why people don’t take me (in their films) despite me being so capable.”
Asked if there was a time when big directors were only interested in working with the Khans, Akshay replied: “They (big directors) went to the people who deserved. You see, it’s not that only the Khans were around. There were the Kapoors and the others. I presume I didn’t deserve it, so I earned it my way.”
The actor maintained that even though big filmmakers produce his films, they don’t direct him. “I still don’t have big directors (directing me). They are producing films with me, but they are not directing. Mr Karan Johar is there, you should ask him. You should ask Adi Chopra,” he said.
Sharing his experience of working with newcomer directors, the superstar further said: “Raj (Mehta, ‘Good Newwz’ director) is my 21st new director. I also feel their greed to do good work is far more than many old directors. For them, it is a do or die situation, because (they think) if the film doesn’t work, then they are finished.”
However, the actor mentioned, that although he works with new directors, he doesn’t try to guide them as he trusts their capability.
“My input is nothing. I am not any kind of guiding force. I have not opened a school. They come, they do their own work. They do a good job, that’s why they are with me. Actually, more than anything else I trust the script and the screenplay. With that 60 per cent of your job is done. The rest is done by the director,” he said.
“Good Newwz” is slated to hit theatres on December 27. The comedy also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.
