Sundeep Kishan’s Film Strikes A Jackpot Deal
It has been a while since a Sundeep Kishan’s film did well at the ticket windows.
Despite Sundeep’s poor track record, his latest film Tenali Ramakrishna BABL fetched a superb deal for its non-theatrical rights.
The film’s satellite and digital rights were bought by Star Maa for Rs. 3 Crore.
This is the highest amount for non-theatrical rights for a Sundeep Kishan starrer.
According to this deal, the film will be up for streaming online on Hotstar in four weeks from its release date.
Tenali Ramakrishna BABL’s trailer has received positive response for its clean comedy. Director Nageswar Reddy is known for delivering low budget comedy hits.
The senior director seems to be in his zone for this film. His last few films failed to click, but Nageswar Reddy is confident that Tenali Ramakrishna will get him back on the track.
Sundeep Kishan also believes that this film will be successful like Venkatadri Express
Nilam Sawhney appointed Andhra Chief Secretary
Amaravati: Senior IAS officer Nilam Sawhney was on Wednesday appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh.
An order was issued by the General Administration Department appointing Sawhney, a 1984 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, to the top post.
Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Neerabh Kumar Prasad, was holding the additional charge as the Chief Secretary since the government shunted out L.V. Subrahmanyam on November 4.
Sawhney is the first woman chief secretary of the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh.
The Centre had sent back Sawhney to her cadre state on Monday following a request by the state government.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved repatriation of Sawhney, who was serving as Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment.
Chiranjeevi to Get ANR National Award?
After a gap, Nagarjuna is reviving ANR national awards. The awards were instituted by Akkineni Nageshwara Rao himself a decade ago.
After his demise, the awards were not presented properly. Now, Nagarjuna has decided to present the award every year.
Buzz in the industry is that the committee will be bestowing the 2019 award to megastar Chiranjeevi for his contribution to the Telugu film industry.
Chiranjeevi has been working in the Telugu film industry for nearly four decades. He is one of the senior-most stars in India today.
Nagarjuna also shares a special friendship with the Megastar. Both of their families share a great bond. The official announcement is to be made tomorrow.
Hansika Joins the Bandwagon of Adult Series
Hansika Motwani is also making debut in digital streaming content. Hansika is in Hyderabad to promote her upcoming movie “Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL”.
She informed the media that she has not signed any new Telugu movies but is currently acting in a web series.
This web series is being directed by none other than ‘Pilla Jamindar’ and ‘Bhaagamathie’ fame G Ashok. The director is making a female-oriented series for a streaming giant.
She said she has already completed a major part of the shoot.
“Only four days of work is left. The future belongs to web series. I am glad that I have taken up this new medium,” she said.
In digital content, the actresses have to do bold act like doing kiss scenes, and some skin show. Hansika is a game for it.
Pawan in confusion, producers in dilemma
Pawan Kalyan has given his nod to director Krish’s script. He also liked the idea of remaking Hindi film “Pink” by Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor.
Days are passing, but so far there has been no word yet from Pawan Kalyan. Producers of these respective films are worried about the ambiguous nature of the star.
Even after agreeing to do these films, Pawan Kalyan has not allotted dates to the producers.
In a bid to bring pressure on him, producer Boney Kapoor even made Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh to tweet about the project. But Pawan Kalyan is not responding on the Pink remake and its launch date yet.
Inside sources say Pawan Kalyan is regularly meeting producers A M Ratnam and Naveen Yerneni as well.
He is supposed to do films for them as he took the advance amount of remuneration from them long back.
Ratnam is planning a period drama in the direction of Krish. Naveen Yerneni of Mythri is planning a movie with director Harish Shankar.
The ‘Pink’ remake has already begun its pre-production work but producers Dil Raju and Boney are clueless about the muhurtham.
Pawan Kalyan is still occupied with political activity.

Chidambaram Has Lost 9 kgs In Jail
New Delhi: Hours after a Delhi court extended P Chidambaram’s judicial custody in the INX media money laundering case till November 27, his family said the treatment being given to him in Tihar jail for Crohn’s disease is not satisfactory and he continues to lose weight due to “aggravation” of the disease.
The family sources told news agency PTI that Chidambaram has lost around 8-9 kgs since his detention.
“We are not satisfied with the treatment given to him in the prison. He is suffering a lot. He has to be immediately brought under the treatment of noted gastroenterologist in Hyderabad Dr Nageshwara Reddy as he knows about his health as he had treated him in 2016,” a source said.
After Reddy’s treatment, he was somewhat feeling better, the sources said.
“We are waiting for the Delhi High Court’s order on his bail plea which is reserved since November 8,” the source added.
Chidambaram was arrested by the CBI on August 21 in the INX Media corruption case.
On Wednesday, Chidambaram was produced before the court through video conference as the lawyers are on strike. The court extended his judicial custody till November 27 in the INX Media money laundering case filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, on 15 May 2017, had registered an FIR against Mr Chidambaram for alleged irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board clearance provided to INX Media for receiving overseas funds to the tune of Rs 305 crore in 2007 when he was the finance minister.
The money laundering case was registered by the ED in 2018.
Earlier, disposing off Chidambaram’s bail plea, the Delhi High Court had directed Tihar Jail authorities to provide him clean surroundings, mineral water, home-cooked food and protection from mosquitoes.
The court had also directed that Chidambaram’s medical check up be done regularly.
Besides Crohn’s disease, the Congress leader, a Rajya Sabha member from Tamil Nadu, also suffers from Dyslipidemia, Coronary Artery Disease, Hypertension, Glycemia and Prostatomegaly.
AVPL Third Song Video: Allu Arjun’s Adorable Kids

Kangana finds it hard to learn Tamil for ‘Thalaivi’ role
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who will next be seen playing former Tamil Nadu chief minister, the late J. Jaylalithaa, in the forthcoming multilingual biopic “Thalaivi”, admits finding it difficult to learn the Tamil language. She added that she is learning the language as per demand of the films script.
“I am finding it difficult to learn Tamil. This film will be released in Hindi and Tamil, so we will do something about it. Obviously, I have to mug up those dialogues because Tamil is not an easy language. Earlier, I was trying to learn the complete Tamil language because I have learned English as well, but now I am learning Tamil as per the demand of film’s script,” said Kangana, while interacting with the media at the launch Beauty Studio salon on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Kangana Ranaut started shooting for “Thalaivi” on November 10, and Kangana’s team posted a picture of the film’s clapboard. It was captioned: “Lights Camera Action!! Apart from learning Tamil, Kangana enrolled herself in Bharatnatyam classes for her role. She was also reported to have spent hours on prosthetic makeup sessions.
Asked what kind of make-up she prefers to apply, she said: “I like to apply light and very minimal make-up. I also like to keep my hair natural. I like to use such things that will not change my personality much. Most of the times, actors try to stay away from make-up when they are in their own space because you want to feel relaxed and you try to keep yourself in a comfortable situation as much as possible.”
Sharing her childhood memories related to make-up, Kangana said: “When I was growing up, I used to experiment with make-up at home. My mother didn’t had a make-up kit but my aunt was newly married, so she used to have a make-up box. After seeing the mascara and other cosmetics, I was really surprised because I had not seen such things earlier. I was four or five years old at that time, so I used to act as a beautician and apply make-up on my grandmother and other women in the house.”
“Thalaivi” will release in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. It is being directed by A L Vijay.
Apart from Kangana, only Arvind Swami’s name has been confirmed in the cast. The film is scheduled to release in 2020.
