Naidu inviting national media to ‘sand deeksha’!

It has been proved time and again that Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been a master in managing the media, particularly the national media, and getting huge coverage to his programmes, whether he is in power or in opposition.

It is now being proved for one more time. Naidu is sitting on a day-long deeksha at Vijayawada on November 14 in the name of “Sand Deeksha” to highlight the sand crisis in the state which, he has been alleging, has crippled the construction industry in the state.

The local media has already started giving a lot of coverage to his proposed deeksha, lack of permission to him to conduct the same at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium and his regular press conferences on sand shortage in the state.

He even said on Tuesday that because of his “sand deeksha” threat that the Jagan government has started making available sand in the last two days, though the sand availability is going up due to receding floods in the rivers and streams.

While the local media will definitely give huge publicity to Naidu’s one-day deeksha on sand crisis, he is not happy with the same. He wants the issue to be highlighted at the national level.

So, his media managers have started contacting all the national media reporters to attend his day-long deeksha and give massive coverage to the same.

The TDP is making transport and stay arrangements to take the national media reporters from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, besides providing them all facilities.

Though it is not exactly known whether any journalists from New Delhi are also being brought to Vijayawada to cover the rally, there is no surprise if Naidu manages even that, as he had done in the past several times.

Needless to say, the TDP chief is going to provide enough fodder to the media on November 14!

Singapore Companies Get Few Million Dollars Loss Due To CM Jagan

Jagan administration’s decision to cancel the Amaravati Start-Up Area Project and the pact with the Singapore Consortium said to have incurred loss to Singapore companies. Singapore would incur loss of a few million dollars following the scrapping up of Amaravati Start Up Area Project. In an official press release, Singapore government confirmed the closure of the Amaravati Capital City Start-Up Area Project following a GO issued by AP state government on Nov 11, 2019.

Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore confirmed the development. Trade Relations Minister-in-charge Iswaran said it is a closure and also admitted that the Singapore Consortium incurred a few million dollars loss. However, he said Singapore Companies remain interested in investing in Andhra Pradesh and other Indian states because of the size and potential of the market.

The previous AP government headed by Chandrababu Naidu had chosen the Singapore consortium of Ascendas-Singbridge and Sembcorp Development through the controversial Swiss Challenge method as the Master Developer of the project. But the current AP state government has cancelled it.

Naidu administration then had entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Singapore Consortium on May 15, 2017, for executing the project. As per the agreement, Amaravati Start-Up Area Development Project was aimed at developing start-up area to provide necessary infrastructure in a 6.84 sq km area (1,691 acres) in three phases over 15 years. And the project was undertaken under the Public-Private Partnership mode by previous AP state government which was first.

According to the MoU, Amarvati Development Corporation (ADC) and Singapore Amaravati Investment Holdings Limited, which together constitute the Amaravati Development Partners (ADP), signed the Concession Agreement and development Agreement (CADA) and the Shareholders Agreement. The Singapore Consortium will have 52 percent and ADC will have 48 percent stake in ADP, which will take up development projects in 656 acres in the first phase in the five years. However, the project did not take off. A part of the allotted land for the start-up purpose was stuck in an ecological-legal tangle as 170 out of 1,691 acres were right on the river bed.

This Film Was Actually Meant For Pawan Kalyan

Many directors usually come up with stories for Pawan Kalyan, but then when he rejects, they obviously go to others. There are so many blockbusters like Idiot and others that are written with PK in the mind but then went to other heroes. Director of his upcoming film says that even Vijay Sethupathi got into Pawan Kalyan’s shoes in the same manner.

An upcoming film of talented Vijay Sethupathi, Sangathamizan is now getting dubbed into Telugu as ‘Vijay Sethupathi’. The film features Vijay as a police officer, and it has Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Pethuraj as the leading ladies. Director Vijay Chandar of this movie recently shared that actually he wrote this commercial masala film keeping Pawan in mind.

“I’ve even met Pawan Kalyan garu and narrated him the story, but the hero couldn’t do the film as he was so busy with political commitments then. Later I went to Vijay Sethupathi with the same story and got it okayed” the director says. However, Sangathamizan’s trailer is sounding like a routine commercial movie where a hero fights for the society.

We have to see if this film opens any account for Vijay at Telugu box office.

Jagan To Shift AP Capital To Tadepalli?

As per reliable sources, Andhra Pradesh’s new capital would shift from Amaravati to Tadepalli. Though Tadepalli is also in Guntur district, the capital region is likely to be shifted there which is 40 kms from the current capital Amaravati.

Jagan’s administration has been raising strong objection to Amaravati as capital citing that it is in flood region. Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has openly raised his concerns for continuing Amaravati as capital and even announced the appointment of an Experts Committee to find alternative capital region.

Amidst this, YCP sources confirmed that Jagan would choose Tadepalli as the capital. Jagan’s own residence is in Tadepalli. Tadepalli is close to Vijayawada compared to Amaravati and this could also help develop both the cities as twin cities.

However, Jagan administration had claimed that Experts Committee would meet the people and consider the opinions of people before recommending new capital. The cancellation of Amaravati Capital City Start-up Area project, which was proposed to be executed by Singapore Consortium, has added fuel to the ongoing speculations that capital would be shifted from Amaravati.

While a few other names like Prakasam are also being heard, it is learnt that Jagan would vote for Tadepalli. However, the future of farmers in Amaravati Capital Region who had voluntarily offered around 33,000 acres of land for the development of project is hanging in balance. One has to wait and see what is in store for Amaravati.

US: Husband kills wife over liking Hrithik Roshan

The reason he killed his wife because he was jealous of her admiration towards Hrithik Roshan. The man has been identified as Dineshwar Budhidat and his wife Donne Dojoy. Dineshwar worked as a bartender and then hanged himself from a tree on Friday, a report in The New York Post said. The extreme jealousy on his spouse over a silly reason has taken both lives, leaving their families in grief.

The reports came in after investigation that Dineshwar used to ask his wife to switch off the TV whenever Hrithik’s song or movies telecast, following by a fight. After killing Donne, the man texted his wife’s sister, saying he had killed her. He also told her to find the keys to the apartment under a flower pot. He then went on to hang himself from a tree at a nearby field. Having insecurities and jealousy over finding a celebrity good-looking is not healthy and mature and the case is indeed an eye-opener to many.

Devarakonda Confused Over Next Production Ventures

Hero Vijay Devarakonda has come up with “Meeku Maatrame Chepta” as his debut production venture which tanked at the box office big time. Though the hero made table profits from the movie, distributors who owned it are said to have lost big chunks of money.

Apparently Vijay has kickstarted two other movies along with Meeku Maatrame Cheptha. He thought that his craze will work out big time for his production ventures, but audiences are so unforgiving that only ‘good content’ will entice them but not the crazy and charms of a hero. And MMC’s result proved that again, giving full clarity to the sensational star.

Some reports are indicating that Vijay doesn’t want to go ahead with next production ventures until he finds out if the scripts he selected are worthy enough or not. He’s said to have stopped all the works related to those production ventures midway, and currently taking a break before he finalises whether to go ahead with them or not.

At the same time, Devarkonda’s father, who takes care of the production ventures is a bit confused that his judgement worked during Pellichoopulu time but failed miserably with Meeku Maatrame Cheptha.

Singapore terminates Amaravati project!

At last, Singapore government opted out of Amaravati capital city start-up area project which was taken up during the previous Telugu Desam Party government led by N Chandrababu Naidu in 2017.

A statement to this effect was released by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Singapore government on Tuesday.

The decision follows a government order issued by the YSR Congress party government led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.

“The Singapore Government notes the decision by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to close the Amaravati Capital City Start-Up Area project via a Government Order dated November 11, 2019,” the statement said.

The closure is based on mutual consent between the GoAP and the Singapore Consortium (comprising Ascendas Singbridge Pte Ltd (now part of CapitaLand Group) and Sembcorp Development Ltd).

Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations S Iswaran said, “The Singapore Consortium was appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2017 to help master develop the 6.84 square kilometres of Start-Up Area of its new capital city Amaravati. We note that the newly elected Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided not to proceed with the Start-Up Area given its other priorities for the state”.

Companies recognise such risks when venturing into any overseas market and factor them into their investment decisions.

In this instance, the Singapore Consortium companies have stated that the project has cost them a few million dollars but that its closure does not impact their investment plans in India.

He said Singapore companies remain interested in opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and other Indian states because of the size and potential of the market.

“Our economic agencies will continue to help our companies internationalise by exploring opportunities in India and other overseas markets,” Iswaran said.

Allu Arjun Behind The Massive Buzz For AVPL

Maharashtra Governor Recommends President’s Rule

As the impasse over government formation refuses to end in Maharashtra, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has reportedly recommended President’s Rule in the state.

Koshyari had given time to the NCP till 8.30pm today to prove that it has the numbers after the Shiv Sena on Monday failed to get letters of support from the political rivals before the deadline set by the Governor who rejected its plea for three more days to do so.

As the deliberations for government formation in Maharashtra reach a feverish pitch, the Congress has indicated it is keen on a chief minister from its ally NCP backed by the Shiv Sena.

The move comes a day after the Sena, in an embarrassing turn of events, failed to get letters of support from the Congress and the NCP before the deadline set by the Governor who rejected its plea for three more days to do so.

Nithin Zero This Year, Three Next Year

Nithin will not have any release this year as his Bheeshma that was supposed to release on Dec 20 is now pushed to Feb 21, 2020.

Nithin’s last film Srinivasa Kalyanam was released in August 2018. A series of flops has put Nithin in a spot that he took a break and went in search of good scripts.

Bheeshma was launched in July, but it is taking sometime to wrap up as the makers are being extra cautious about the output.

Nithin also launched Rang De recently. He is working simultaneously on both the films at the moment. Rang De will release in June/July 2020. He will have another release next year.

His film with Chandrasekhar Yeleti also is aiming for release in the last quarter of next year.

So, Nithin will have three releases in 2020, which will make up for his rare zero this year.

Nithin is sticking to his strengths in Bheeshma and Rang De that are romantic comedies like Ishq and Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde.

Crucial Meeting After Mahesh Returns From Kerala, Bunny From Paris!

In the wake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru clashing on January 11th, the whole of the Film Industry is looking forward to seeing if this clash will go ahead as planned. But then, there happened a between Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, during which they are said to have taken a call over it. Here comes another interesting addition to this news.

From the last couple of days, trade circuits are abuzz with the news that both the films are moving away from that date with one movie a day ahead and one delaying by a day. Some even mentioned that Sarileru Neekevvaru will be coming up on the same day, but Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo will be pushed ahead a day. Amidst all these revelations, it is being heard that a final call will be taken after a crucial meeting.

Right now Allu Arjun is in Paris, wrapping the shoot of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo along with Pooja Hegde and Trivikram. Then we have Mahesh Babu busy in Kerala shooting for Sarileru Neekevvaru along with a whole bunch of star actors. Once these two schedules of these two films are wrapped, a majority portion of the shooting will get wrapped. After that, the star heroes are likely to come to Hyderabad and sit in a crucial meeting, to take a final decision on release dates.

A day gap or two days gap is a good thing for both Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sarileru Neekevvaru, but clashing on the same day is what going to eat revenues of each other. So let us see what happens.
